Manga Reader - Offline Reader Reviews

For the most part, it’s a good app and it doesn’t interrupt me mid-chapter with ads, which I definitely appreciate. I just have 2 major issues with it. 1) You have to pay to read from right to left like most manga are written, which I find incredibly stupid considering it is a manga app and, as I said above, the majority are written to be read from right to left. 2) for some reason, page 2 of every chapter of every manga I’ve read so far has been overwritten by page 3 within half a second of turning to the page. While that may not sound like a big deal, a lot can happen in one page, including giving out crucial context and information. I gave it 4 stars, but I feel it more accurate to give it 3.5, my biggest issue being the intentional ploy to get users to buy premium just to read it the way it was meant to. Honestly, they’re lucky Manga Rock shut down. Otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered with this one.

I’ve been using MangaReader for years now and, even before this new update it has been my “go-to.” To be honest, MangaReader absolutely deserves 5 Stars but, it is in fact lacking a few things that would more so make it a 9.5/10. The only things I would say that you are missing are:

Issue names - In the last version, you were able to see the name of each issue. I’m sure that’s something that has to be done in a time consuming fashion but, if it is a difficult task, would giving us access to renaming issues while selecting them in MangaReader , be as difficult?
Release dates - So we can keep track of weekly/ monthly issues and series completions
Bookmarks - It would be nice to pick up where I left off in the easiest way possible
App. Ecosystem - we should be able to connect to MangaReader on other devices, and data share through cloud usage to keep track of reading.

Collectively, MangaReader definitely does what I am trying to accomplish. I want to read on the go, and am able to do that in spectacular fashion. These would of course be perks to using your amazing app!

Absolutely love the variety of the manga on MangaReader, but it has two problems that make reading really tedious and annoying. #1 it does not bookmark what you have read, the only way, I’ve found, to do it is by downloading the chapter next in line for me to read, finish three download four etc. #2 the only way to go to next chapter is to back out, and select the next chapter. Not a problem if (reference problem #1) doesn’t exist. However because it does I generally have to check 3 or 4 chapters before I get the correct one.

Thank for MangaReader, some input of mine for MangaReader is to create a section for the mangas, I mean as in like putting them in lists such as Planning to Read, Reading and Finished which will allow me to properly sort them in neat piles. Another suggestion is to update some manga or allow us , the users to have a way within MangaReader to suggest which manga we would like to see next. Other than that, this is a well-developed, hope to see more updates soon later.

I love the wide selection of manga and frequent upload times. It has every series that I follow and always updates a new chapter ASAP. Sure, there are many ads, but you can skip them after 1-2 seconds most of the time. MangaReader has done everything other apps should, but don’t. Get this one!

Compared to others this is way to much of a cash grab to compete. There’s no negative reviews which is suspicious but here goes.
Almost every time you click on a chapter a full size ad blocks you. Sometimes it’s a 30 second ad or it fails to load an ad and just blocks you with a permanent white screen. Other manga readers don’t ad spam you, have smaller ads on the main screens and have chats or comments so you can talk about the chapters. This one’s just not on the same level as the other apps offering better

I’ve used this company’s app for many years prior to this new one coming out. This one is missing many of the features the old one had. Things like seamless scrolling through the mangas and auto detection for scroll direction depending on what manga we are reading. Example would be a webtoon that scrolls top to bottom and should scroll continuously in that direction. Also the fact that they are zoomed out for each segment is bad too. The constant having to close and reopen each chapter is annoying.

Do you have is amazing and I really hope you keep it updated so I can enjoy it and also it keeps updating so it competes with iOS you know. It’s the only app that works the best on iOS and I enjoy it being able to read manga on my tablet and that print it’s amazing thank you for creating MangaReader😊

MangaReader is so amazing and there’s barley any adds they only pop up when your looking for different manga and that’s amazing and I cant wait for more my hero chapters to be released

I like MangaReader a lot and everything but there are a few problems. First of all it’s annoying when it doesn’t have anything to show u what chapter ur on. Second and last problem is that ever since this new year started not a single book has been updated at all on my phone.

I like MangaReader for reading manga I can’t find/read on other apps ,but I can’t stand the fact that you have to back out of the manga just to read the next chapter. Also I really dislike the fact that you have to download all chapters individually if you wanted to read offline. Please fix MangaReader

MangaReader is good but it’s a problem when some of the manga you have to read from top to bottom and you cant get the premium version so it’s a pain to read sometimes and I dint understand why you have to get premium

MangaReader is one of the best manga app’s I’ve ever had!! It has all the manga I want to read and more! There are a lot of popular manga, and even webtoon’s! I highly recommend this.

Wish there was an arrow to move onto the next chapter without having to leave the reader screen. The manga library is expansive though, which is fantastic!

Love the different types of manga and that it goes beyond any apps I've seen it tends to freeze a lot and would really like to see a download all episodes option understandable you gotta have the pop up adds but tend to be annoying but all in all love MangaReader
