Can’t undo the auto merge errors

Merged some of my favorites and vips with non faves without giving me the option to choose and now can’t undo - this is a big mess and caused me a bigger headache than help! Pls tell me what you can do to let me go back to my original contact list and not have to unwind your app errors!!?
Problem viewing my backed up contacts

Yes, this app finds duplicate contacts. but each time you merge two of them an idiotic ad for a video game pops up and doesn’t stop. so you have to close the app and start again to merge the next one. a waste of time
