UI Suggestion- Please change Memories layout

After using GoodThingsgratitudejournal in conjunction with Prompted Journal (PJ)- can you please make an update where the layout of Three Good Things (3GT) resembles Prompted Journal- in terms of Memories/past entries? On PJ, when I go to “Entries”, my entries are displayed as a condensed list. I have to click on an entry to open it. On 3GT, when I go to Old Memories- it’s not condensed and instead I’m met with a long, visible display of all of my entries. Why? Can you guys change this, or at least give the option that we can choose if we want our entries to be visible and open when we go back to our Memories, or not? I prefer seeing a list of journal entry dates (like in PJ), that I can click on and open. Seeing everything on display is a bit of visual overload, doesn’t look or feel organized, and I don’t need to see every single thing I’ve written down up front. Please fix, thanks.

3 Good Things

GoodThingsgratitudejournal is easy to use and I love its simplicity. As a psychologist, I use it for myself and have recommended it to several of my patients. Getting into the habit of hightening our awareness to just notice simple things that make us happy or grateful is a wonderful skill. It is an antidote to negativity which can become so habitual. This simple little exercise can do wonders to begin to shift one’s thinking. With enough practice, it can lift depression and help with anxiety. The more we look around us for things that make us feel good, happy or grateful, the more of these things we will take in. This is a win-win exercise. Thanks to its creators! P.S. Please don’t make this complicated because the simpler it is the easier it is to do and the chances that it will become a natural daily practice are increased.

Simple and effective

I’m 28 years old and have been having a hard time especially with purpose and depression but GoodThingsgratitudejournal is the most calming and effective method out of all of my apps. I really appreciate how they ask us to write how we feel not just what we saw, with our grateful items. It sticks more and it doesn’t feel monotonous but it is the truth, we did feel good when that moment happened. And that helps me to feel better. -Veronica

Habit forming- finally!

Been trying to start a gratitude habit for a year or so. Tried a paper journal, online complicated journal, calendar, verbal to my friends, etc. Nothing took until I found GoodThingsgratitudejournal!!! It’s super simple, takes 3 minutes and I has lovely quotations. I like the reminder chime and the ability to download history. I actually look forward to completing it every evening! My habit is finally solid- hoooooray and thank you!

My husband and I both use GoodThingsgratitudejournal. We both enjoy it very much. It’s quick, it’s simple, & it also helps you reflect specifically on each day. You are able to share each of your daily entries with a loved one, or keep them to yourself. This is one of the few apps that I have my notifications turned on for because I want to complete my three good things every night! Thank you to the creators 😊

Love this app— helps cope with depression!

Practicing gratitude is something my therapist has recommended for a long time... and I always wanted an app that I could do this with, and one that wasn’t so daunting! THIS IS IT! It makes it simple and much less daunting to do this.. and I love that I can look back on the good things throughout the week/month. I absolutely love GoodThingsgratitudejournal. Helps with depression

I’ve been struggling with depression for a few years, and I lately I’ve been trying several self-help apps to change my outlook. This hasn’t been the only resource I’ve used, but it has been a huge help in making me see the good things in my life! It didn’t seem like it was working at first, but the more I use this tool the more it helps. I’m so glad that GoodThingsgratitudejournal was created, and I love the simplicity! Highly recommend

I’m a psychologist and I recommend GoodThingsgratitudejournal for nearly all my clients. It’s so much more effective than a gratitude list because it teaches you a powerful coping tool (the ability to reflect on your experience and find the good, even if it was not fun) and let’s you practice it daily. I’ve been going through a bit of a slump for the last few weeks and this simple app helps me look for the positives, however small they may be, through what has sometimes been a pretty trash day. This combined with their prompted journal app along with journaling on my own has really helped me pull myself out of the mental and emotional holes and regain clarity and control over my thoughts and emotions. GoodThingsgratitudejournal is perfect for what you’d want it for - daily reminders to build consistency in your gratitude journaling. Outside of the reminder push notifications, GoodThingsgratitudejournal is completely non-invasive (no ads, no unnecessary push notifications or permissions). I’ve been trying to gratitude journal consistently and never made it over a week until I found GoodThingsgratitudejournal. Bonus points for the cute minimalist visuals and pleasing color scheme. Please never change this free version!

A company that actually cares

I was brought here from “Prompted Journal.” Which I love so much. I’ve already been working on my gratitude but never much in detail or from my emotional side. So when I saw this I thought I’d have that chance & I do! I really appreciate this company because they don’t just say they care about mental health; they show it. By making GoodThingsgratitudejournal free. As someone who is disabled and on a fixed-income, this is very important for me. They also have an affordable annual payment for $12. I love how it’s ad-free. The color is great. I mostly use my phone for therapeutic purposes. No social media. So I appreciate how there’s no pesky ads that can contribute to unhealthy messages. Thank you to the creators 💕

Simple but Powerful!

I heard about GoodThingsgratitudejournal at a Weight Watchers’ meeting. Hearing the difference it made for the person who shared, I decided to get it. I’m so glad I did because it has made an impact. It’s easy to use. You set a time each day to write three good things that happened in your life that day and how it made you feel. It wasn’t easy the first couple of times. Now, however, I’m always looking for the good things in my day. I’m more optimistic and just plain happier these days. I highly recommend GoodThingsgratitudejournal. You won’t regret it!

Helping me notice the good things

As a person who got a bit too addicted to negative news, I realized that my fuse had gotten short and that too often I was seeing what was wrong in my life rather than what was right. GoodThingsgratitudejournal has been really helpful. I bought the premium so that I can actually do as many good things as I want every day. I currently do five good things every day although many times I’m noticing many more good things than that in my day. I am so glad this is GoodThingsgratitudejournal I chose to use.

Amazing

I never ever write app reviews but GoodThingsgratitudejournal deserves the praise. The formatting is beautiful and so easy to use and review previous entries. The quotes are great. Even the notifications are well worded and not overly pushy. It’s just a very straightforward app. But the real beauty is in the WAY it gets you to write about gratitude. Using the ‘I’ statements and then the ‘I feel’ really helps me to ground and make the gratitude more tangible. I’m able to place where that gratitude showed up in my day and it honestly has improved my mental health so much!

Okay - this app is seriously amazing.

I was really skeptical about downloading this and making this an everyday practice in my life. My colleague encouraged me to download it and I asked a friend to try it out with me. We’ve both been recording our 3 things each day and sending them to one another at the end of the night. And holy cow ! GoodThingsgratitudejournal has seriously changed how I navigate through the world on the daily. I am also enjoying building a positive and supportive relationship with my friend, as we cheer each other on!

Achievable and guilt-free gratitude goals

I’d tried to keep a gratitude journal before, but it was always intimidating to try and think of everything I was grateful for. The 3 good things app not only made that goal of being grateful every day a lot more bite-sized, but it also incorporated the idea of thinking of how those good things make me feel. When I write my entry before going to bed, I am reminded of the good things that happened and bring back those feelings too. It’s okay if I miss a day, and it doesn’t send me guilt-trip reminders when I forget.

I tried another free gratitude app and found it clunky with silly gamification “features.” GoodThingsgratitudejournal is elegant in its simplicity, and works smoothly - I appreciate the little details like staying on the prior day if you happen to use GoodThingsgratitudejournal after midnight.
The thing I most appreciate is the “I felt” prompt that accompanies each “good thing” — it really helps me consider the meaningfulness of what I’m appreciating, something I’m otherwise prone to skip.
It’s a great app to build a practice around, so much so that I was happy to pay for it, even if I don’t use any paid features.

Simple and Powerful

I love GoodThingsgratitudejournal. It’s simple and straightforward. It’s not burdened by superfluities. I love that there are no ads. I love that they don’t hound users to upgrade to premium (there’s a short and non-pushy invitation to upgrade). I’m planning to upgrade, because I want to support them. But in the meantime, GoodThingsgratitudejournal is still plenty useful and user friendly without having to subscribe. I also love GoodThingsgratitudejournal because of the nudge it gives me to think and write purposefully about things that went well in my day and how I felt about them. It’s a powerful practice and I appreciate how GoodThingsgratitudejournal helps me accomplish it.

I love GoodThingsgratitudejournal. It’s simple, no frills, perfect for starting a daily gratitude practice. Listing three things doesn’t feel too intimidating, and the “I feel” prompts help me reflect and feel gratitude more deeply. I also appreciate that GoodThingsgratitudejournal doesn’t inundate me with unnecessary notifications throughout the day (just one at my chosen time) or pop-ups for in-app purchases (though the option is there). Excellent all around.
