I love this game, but the resource system is terrible. The Devs keep saying on the Facebook page to be patient about the energy system, but they’ve been saying that for months. It’s not difficult to change your ad settings to allow users to watch videos for energy more often than once every 4 hours, or for more than 20 units. 300/day isn’t enough for this game to be worth the time, and the minigame and 20/ad every 4 hours doesn’t make up for it. Fix your game, or you’re going to lose customers.
I honestly don’t recommend these apps. While the stories are alright buying energy is a scam because they’re non-transferable through each story and if you buy more close to the end of a story you’re out money because you can’t repurpose your energy across another storyline. If you enjoy small (and I mean SMALL) bursts of a story (300 free energy at 10 per sentence) with no way to gain any kind of substantial energy, this is the game for you. Unfortunately, I won’t be reading anymore stories because losing money entirely puts a foul taste in my mouth.
Needless fluff to make you blow energy. Being you pay 10 energy per sentence.
Repetitiveness is the name of the game here. Long drawn out tension that just repeats its self topped with the main character's self loathing.
The story doesn't save to be reread later especially when you're having to purchase special scenes.
No back log incase you tap past something too quickly.
It seems suspicious that I can never seem to choose the right choices to get to the hidden chapters without paying.
Pricing for energy is ridiculous. So is the price per special scene.
No option to just buy chapters or the story. I'm all for supporting the people who make these.
The story is ok it had the potential to be great if they could cut the fluff but after $20 of energy and just reading the same theme over and over again. I'll just read at the free pace because I've lost interest in paying for filler.
The story line is great but I don’t think it should take 3 weeks for a new chapter to come out after the French version. I’m currently waiting for at least a chapter to come out in English while two already came out in French just to use up the energy I purchased so I can just delete IsItLoveColin . I wish the energies can be transferred to another story or something. I also think since we’re waiting on you all to upload the next chapters that every day that pass and we get the 300 it shouldn’t reset but you all should allow them to accumulate since were actually waiting on you.
This is a good game but I'm very disappointed that the energy level is so limited! It absolutely ridiculous that you have to wait two days before your energy level is full, then afterwards it runs out quickly! Then you have to wait another two days before it's filled again! If you don't want to wait you have to buy energy in order to play! Make the energy level last longer and reduce the waiting time to bring it back up!
I love this story. They do a great job drawing you into the story and It is honestly completely addicting but I am disappointed that it has taken so long for the next season to come out. It has been over six months since the story was last updated. At this point they have probably lost quit a lot of people and money to this story. From what I have read people have paid a lot for this story yet no second season?! At this point I feel like they are just losing out on money.
I’ve now read completely through four of the stories. If I were rating on the story alone, it would get 5 stars. I’m giving it two stars strictly for price and programming. For each story, I paid about $80-$100 for the energy to read through at my pace and for unlocking all the hidden scenes. I actually wouldn’t mind paying that much because it did provide several hours of good game play, and I don’t mind paying to support the artists and writers. What bothers me, is even after spending $100 on a story, if I want to reread through the same stories I’ve already paid for, I have to pay AGAIN! At least other apps, like Chapters, once I’ve paid for choices, if I reread through a story, I don’t have to repay for the energy (aka tickets in Chapters) and any decision I paid for is now free. So I pay upfront for the first read, but can reread for free. That’s really all I want when I spend $100 on just one of your products. Forcing for me to pay again is just greedy. Work with me people. I’ll pay for your product, but give me some reward for paying $100 on a single app! Let me reread AT MY PACE for free.
I recently downloaded each of these games. The art style, and story is good. I’m hearing from other reviewers that there are sound effects, but maybe you need earphones for those.
The main downside to these unfortunately like everyone says os the energy it takes.
Few ideas.
1 instead of a sentence costing energy, block them in segments. End on cliffhangers if you really want people to buy energy. Not just the next normal thing to say.
This would also help people remember what was going on the next day, if they choose not to.
2 more videos
3 more chances at the mini game
4 supply and demand evaluation of the energy potions. I think you will find that by decreasing the price, you will get far more customers buying them. For example..
$10x600 a day
$6,000
I believe halving the price would more double the second number. I bet every dollar down would be like an exponent to that current rate. Maybe not as dramatic, but still. $9-700, $8-850, $7-1,050, $6-1,300, $5-1,600
$5x1,600=40,900
That with the additional adds would pull in much greater revenue for you. Also the Ryan story might be a little hot for 12 year olds. 21 and if I had a daughter I’d hate to catch her reading that first secret scene before she was 16. Probably going to put this on each of them..
I’m on the fence with this one. It seems to be pushing me towards one guy in particular, regardless of what I choose, but I thought you’d get to choose the guy you like. Also, if it told you when your points would re-up, I’d have given it another star. It’s really annoying to check in several times to see if you have more points because you can’t remember exactly when you played it last. A count down would make it a whole lot better, or even a notification. But I am curious to see where the story leads, so I’ll keep at it for a while.
I suggest either more free energy (300 isn't enough at all for 24 hrs especially since a click is 10 energy and many pages are one sentence or meaningless banter). Or it'd be nice for either cheaper energy or more for the cost. I've spent $20-$30 on the Drogo story and I'm not even close to the end. I've spent about $15 on this one and the energy seems to run out so quick. But other than that, I love the story and artwork! Would be 5 but because of energy costs and you virtually never choose the right combo for secret scene, so it's a little pricey to play.
Doesn’t update often enough. I’ve spent a lot of money on this & the other apps by this company.. my biggest complaints are the high cost for “energy,” the small amount of free daily energy (of course), and the SUPER SLOW update frequency. This was the first app from 1492 that I downloaded & when I reached the finish about 8 months ago, I downloaded another one from them. I now have them all & have reached the furthest available points (they’ve made some $$ off of me) on all of them. Problem is: updates to the story line are now very few & far between - but they’ve since released new apps/storylines!! Frustrating as I’m unable to review the story I’ve now paid for & I have to try & keep all the storylines straight when they finally do update one... This company should have released fewer apps at once & focused more on releasing full storylines, then moved onto other characters, etc.
Energy management in the game is so bad, that it makes the story unreadable/unplayable.
If the devs expect people to pay for energy refills, they need to grab their attention and hold it with the story. The measly amount of daily energy allowed is WAY too little for this.
I wanted to love the game, artwork and story is great, plus I don’t mind paying a reasonable amount of money to support developers, but if they don’t fix the energy system, me and my money will be gone for good.
I have been playing this game for a while and somehow always keep getting logged out of my facebook(where I have my saved file). When I open IsItLoveColin and try to regain my save file. It doesn’t work at all, like I have no save file and it keep showing open Facebook app and then continue and then the same thing over and over again. I do love the story but at this point, I am annoyed.
I really like this game, but if I read every day what is allotted I am fine. If I don’t read every day it should build up not just the 300 awarded at the start. So if I have not read for 2 days I think I should get the points for the previous day plus the day I open the game. That being I would have 600 points. Or you could do like most games do and award points on a scale.
1day-300
Day2- 350
Day3-400
Day4-450
Day5-500
Then start over on day 1 again.
Just earning 300 every day and then 100 in the mini game. Is not enough. Also sometimes it asks if I want to watch a video ad for 30 more points and I watch it and it is not even giving me the points and makes me watch another video ad before giving me the 30 points, the same with the 20 points. I do not mind the ads but why do I have to watch 2 ads before it will give me the points.
I would rate it five stars but I’m not because it not really fair that you have to pay for the secret senses in the story I mean you already pay a lot with the purchases of energy and even when you don’t it only gives you 300 energy each day which doesn’t get you far at all so it sad that when you finally reach a secret scene and you have been waiting day for it, it is dissatisfying because you have to pay for it and that makes playing the game boring and sad because in the end you can’t see and that is all I want to see😭🙏
The story is very captivating and it definitely makes it hard to wait. It’s sad that they don’t give enough energy in any of these games. If the developer made it so the energy came back in an hour verses 24 hours it wouldn’t take forever to get through one chapter. Besides the energy taking forever to fill back up on all the developers games the story is amazing.
There has to be a larger cap on the amount of points you can earn. Say that I want to build up my points by logging in everyday and then use it all over the weekend to get a better feel for the story. This would be amazing. Instead I am forced to use my 300 allotted points per day. I barely get into the story before I’m out of points. Please fix this. Give me more options. I can view more ads...
I absolutely love your storyline. The thing bums me out is how much it cost for me to keep playing and unlock the scene... But the storyline is amazing. Colin is a mysterious man who is rude, you can't help it but feel like you need to find out.
However I have to give this a three stars because energy and unlocking the secret scene can burn a hole in your pocket.
Would love to have a book game for peter and drogo’s older brother! I seem to be wanting to see him as much as I want to see peter. His family man type attitude amp’s up my heartbeat when ever he shows up in the stories.
Would you be so good to grace your lineup of stories with him please? His character can’t be left behind because of their little sister.
I'm really enjoying the read, and how it's seems like a long time before I capture Colin's heart, but that's okay it will be worth the wait! *after finishing the first season I'm a bit restless for another, I thought Colin's character was given more depth since he has diabetes and he had to take on more responsibility taking care of his little brother and looking after his Mom who suffered from Bipolar Disorder. The reason he distrusts so strongly really comes out more as you read. I was thinking in Matt's story he had a little sister but in his he had a little brother...either way I like him as an older sibling. I hope he gets a sequel.*
