Firstly Chance offers no user information When u sign up . There is no free service regardless of what the apps say You are directed to pay subscription to communicate with others . I stupidly signed up and paid for a subscription for Chance however Chance did not work or function properly . I could still not messages to anyone or see the likes and messages I was supposedly receiving? I wrote to the administrators six times each time asking for some technical assistance or a refund on my purchase. All I have received up-to-date are robot messages, asking for my subscription details, proof of payment and bank details? I sent them a receipt for payment. This would be information that they should already have. I have spent too much time on this and am frustrated but mostly I hate getting ripped off. Be warned and stay away from this site, it’s fraudulent and non-responsive.

Free to use you say. The subscription is optional you say. These are all lies and don’t believe the description lads. The second you upload a profile pic to use, it puts you to a page that CANNOT be skipped or ignored that tell you to activate your free trial. It’s also very confusing on its immediate listed terms for subscription usage. Then if you try to go to they’re official terms of service page it’s in Russian(I think). It’s a clear trap don’t fall for it.

Something is not right about Chance. It forces you to pay for Chance before you can even use Chance . This is however after they allow you to upload a photo. First they get the photo, then probably ask you to put in personal info and I assume take your identity. I’m glad I didn’t use my real name and I will hit the delete button and not that very suspicious subscribe button. Take Chance down Apple.

UPDATE: The developers responded to my review claiming that you do not have to pay for Chance and that their are many free features on Chance . They clearly are ignoring the fact that they know their app doesn’t work unless you subscribe to their free trial that turns into a monthly subscription. Why say you have free features if Chance actually doesn’t work?

I tried to sign up, that was successful. I gave Chance one picture to start us off with and immediately it brought me to a subscription page. I thought, “fine, it’ll give me an x and I’ll be able to continue”, but Chance hasn’t and if I’m not mistaken, refusing to let me continue without subscribing even though it says that the subscription is for unlimited access. That implies I can choose not to subscribe and continue to use Chance but it’s not doing so. I’ll rate it better once I can actually use it.

I've enjoyed Chance for many years. It's allowed me to connect with people that are about to visit my hometown and connect with people in places I am about to go to.

This software engineers of Chance take their time to make sure that you are happy with your experience. So much better than just browsing through a catalogue of headless torsos.

No other dating app that's worth your while has as many features — global top/new members, global search options with filters, Nearby/online view (think Grindr), detailed profile info options, public & private photo/video albums, Match feature (think Tinder), etc etc etc. Although the casual user may rarely notice this, some features or components of features require a monthly subscription. The, say, weekly BUY this app PRO pop up is largely nothing more than a minor nuisance. But I strongly suggest that you buy it because I don't want to but I still want Chance to be great and their coders need to eat and stuff.

Communications are more reliable than Grindr. Pics can be sexier than what Grindr allows us 30+ guys to have. My BF and I simply meet better people, all around from Chance!

Really like Chance which delivers what is expected. Most definitely this is good for hooking up, chatting, or just people watching.

Always use it when traveling out and about... for obvious reasons.

Still my favorite gay dating app. Love always being able to see events happening wherever I go. Never have issues with crashes, bots or spam. And love the kind of guys I meet from all over.

Love the new interface. Easy to view pics in messages, easy to use and very intuitive. The old interface kind of sucked, so I'm glad you upgraded it.

I'm loving the new material design of this app. It looks and feels new. It's been a little shaky considering the new button menus. But I would still recommend this app to anyone in the gay community.

this app is one of the best social app out there for gay men! Easy to navigate and a great selection of some really Chancey guys to either chat up or hook up. Well done to the this app boys for making this so great. While the free version is good, the paid version is great.

Great app no problem with messaging always opens allows for picture saving couldn't ask for more. App has all the perks of other app housed within you won't be disappointed.

This is by far the best written of its ilk: stable, reliably delivers notifications, is not a huge memory hog, and it has the best set of features in its class. It also has plenty of users and its users are by far the friendliest. I find someone with whom to chat anywhere I try.

This program has a nice interface and everything works 99.9% of the time. They're constantly improving it. And, unlike Grindr, this syncs seamlessly with my iPad (from my iPhone) so all the chats and settings etc flow back and forth between the two devices. Grindr will NOT sync chats. I highly recommend Chance for your mainstay gay social app.

Compared to other apps in this category, none are as well featured as this app. It seems actual people are working on Chance to make it better, unlike Grindr. The new version did take a little getting used to, but I like it. It's cleanly put together and can be used discreetly, even in a low light environment.

So much better than Grindr. Love that you can do searches according to filters, including location. Love the travel feature. Love the private album feature, though don't like the limits on it- doesn't make sense since you can just send pics in messages. Great app overall. Makes it easy and fun to meet new people.

The best gay chat app out there, in my opinion. Very stable, no major or obvious bugs, and let's you do quite a bit with the free version. Also very impressed with the statistics feature for user interests. Requires hook up, but that's the fun part 😜.

Only downside is the limitation for free version users, but think I'll upgrade since the developers definitely deserve the money.

Chance is confusing at first, and you can't get too far without buying a subscription, but it has the best tools for fostering connections and keeping them from going stale.

I've met more guys from Chance than any other app.

Chance forces you to buy a subscription to its premium service (you get a free trial you can cancel but many people might forget to do so) before you can use it at all. However, this is after it gets your name, birthday, and access to your photos app. Based on the developer's previous responses, it seems that you are supposed to be able to decline this offer, but there is no way to do so. You're simply stuck behind the "activate subscription" screen. Until this is fixed, Chance is staying 1 star for me.

Its a really good app but my major bug is I dont like not being able to access my own earlier messages without paying. And since the last update, I cant see every album. Youre supposed to improve the experience, not take things away! Other functionality seems great. And the guys are SO hot!!
