I got this app after a blast athletics representative came to my school. I don’t usually have a problem with apps using personal info, however, when it is forced down the throats of children, I think it is disgusting. The company’s only method of monetary gain is through sale of personal info. When using this app to donate, it requires you to show your relationship to the person you are sponsoring. It also asks for phone numbers, email addresses, etc. It then chains the data collected and the relationship to sponsors together, and sells it. The representative was obviously exploiting and milking information out of children. And while I understand the internet privacy is unrealistic, I find it vile that this company takes advantage of the gullibility of children.

My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about
10 years old when my mother said to him. 'If you
ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you
have to stop immediately. Tears welled up in his
eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He
gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of
lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My
mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't
put your family through what your Grandfather put
us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a
cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of
regret for never having done it, because this app
gave me cancer anyway.
