This one works

I don't know what the negative reviews are about, but they inspired me to write my own. I've tried a lot of sleep apps, and this one actually works like (or better than) my old Fitbit. There's no way to know the real accuracy, but after I adjusted the sensitivity, it matches my recollections of my sleep, including how long I was awake reading, better than any of the other apps I've tried.
As for other apps: AutoSleep is just inaccurate unless I tell it when I'm going to sleep, and it says you need to have the complication on your nighttime watch face, which is basically the same thing. Pillow wants me to tell it when I'm going to bed too, and then refuses to work unless my battery is like 60%. Since I charge it in the morning when I'm getting dressed etc, that doesn't work for me.
This one, SleepMatic, works great.

Has a bug :-(

My best friend and I both loaded this application over a girls weekend...the information from the first nights sleep was amazing...love the layout and the heart rates etc. The second night both of our watches were dinging almost hourly telling us to either stand up or breathe...ALL NIGHT LONG ! I have called Applecare and they state that it is s third party app causing the issue...and suggested either turning off the reminders for stand and breathe before going to sleep and turning the reminders back on each morning or NOT wearing the watch to sleep...that’s a work around I’m not willing to do :-(
As soon as the developer fixes this problem I will reload SleepTracker .

Quite fun after accurately set up.

This is definitely worth the investment. I’ve recommended it to my family. Helps me track apnea episodes n compare to my weight n exercise+meditation regimen. My doc likes reviewing my results when I go in. I’ve found that I have fewer apnea episodes when i weigh less n exercise/meditate more. Duh, i should’ve known this. Need more time with my swordsmanship. As Miyamoto Musashi said of the sword ... This Is The Way. Especially at 53. I wonder what it will be like with series 7 or 8 watch assuming spO2 measurement improvements. I highly recommend this over the others in the market. I rank this number one in the top 5 in App store! Pillow n others were a waste of money.

Not very accurate for me

I started looking at the clock when I wake up during the night so I could compare data with the sleep app. It does not count my wake episodes. I adjusted the sensitivity and it hasn’t improved. My fall sleep and wake up time isn’t correct either.
I also do not like that I have to have WiFi on for SleepTracker to record my pattern. I sleep with my wrist by my head and do not want the WiFi signal near my brain. I had a free app that worked without WiFi on. It sent the data to my phone after I turned it back on. I just didn’t want the advertisements that came with the free app. I might have to switch back and deal with them because it recorded my info more accurately.
Sorry, I really don’t like to post negative reviews. Funny it won’t allow me to post unless I have more stars. I only wanted to give 2 but it keeps saying my nicknames are all taken.

Amazing!

SleepTracker allows me to do at home with my iPhone and Apple Watch five, what i used to have to go into a hospital to do. I can sleep in my own bed and get the same data that used to require me going into a hospital, getting hooked up to a bunch of wires, sleeping on a very uncomfortable mattress at an hour that was not normal for me, and having people wake me up every two hours to untangle me from the wires I had gotten wrapped up in. This has been a huge asset to me and my doctor to help figure out my health issues. It is well worth it to purchase the premium version, and to invest in an Apple Watch. It is the future Of health, longevity, and proper diagnosis and treatment.

Thank you, best sleep tracker

I am suffering with sleep issues and wanted to try apps that tracked sleep, I used for a few nights and got no deep sleep rating, so I did a blind test and got my wife to wear it, so same watch, same bed different person. I wanted to see if it really saw deep sleep. It does it tracked her and saw the deep, rest etc. On the bad side shows had bad my sleep is, but I know the data is true as we both show completely different sleep patterns. Then I emailed support, it turns out I can fiddle with the settings. Once I lowered the sensitivity, my sleep data is showing up correctly. I am happy, just wish the instruction is easier to find, but otherwise it is a great app.

No stars

I downloaded SleepTracker in anticipation of getting my watch so it would be ready to go when it came in. I have the 3. Set up the watch as per direction, paired it with my phone and all my apps were there including this one. Set up SleepTracker everything looked good. Wore my watch to bed and had a horrible night of sleep. I’m not sleeping well and wanted to see how much rest I’m actually getting. Woke up and checked SleepTracker on my watch. No data. Checked my phone. No data. Synced my watch to my phone again. No data. Ok maybe I did something wrong. Uninstalled SleepTracker and reinstalled it. Second night I had SleepTracker open in my phone and on the watch (as much as you can leave an app on). Wore my watch to bed. Slept better so I thought for sure it would have something. Still no data. Phone- no data. I have now uninstalled it and purchased AutoSleep app. Don’t waist your money.

The best sleep app for Apple Watch

I’ve tried like four different sleep apps for Apple Watch and honestly, none of them hold a candle to what Fitbit provides. I made the switch from Fitbit to Apple Watch and just assumed that Apple Watch would have similar (if not better) sleep tracking. Not the case. BUT, SleepTracker gives you the best data and has the closest layout and information to Fitbit. It doesn’t try to be too fancy, but it gives you good data that’s easy to read. Only downside is that there aren’t longer trends within SleepTracker . I’m only seeing a 7 day lookback so far.

SleepMatic

Does what I need it to do, but it’s far from perfect. It registers as sleep when I’m not sleeping. For example, when I wake up, pour a cup of coffee, and sit down to read my email, it will continue as sleep. This can be manually adjusted, but it shouldn’t need to be. I have tried sensitivity settings to no avail.
When viewing a night’s sleep, it’s difficult to correlate my sleep with my heart rate because the bar is the same dark blue as the background, so I can only see the bar within the sleep segment, but I can’t see exactly where it lines up with the heart rate, so I have to guesstimate. I have sent more than one request to support asking them to add some contrast between the bar and background but never hear back, and it hasn’t changed.

App crashes

App crashes when you try to look at previous data! I like to compare my days of sleep! I use be able to but it just started this a few days ago! I have restarted app and restarted my iPhone but nothing works! I would give you 5 stars but SleepTracker started doing this crazy thing of not letting me see my previous sleep patterns! I hope you all can fix this! Really like SleepTracker !

Don’t pay for this app

I tested this to see how accurate it is. I read several good reviews but was still skeptical. I need an app that actually tracks my sleep/is close enough to accuracy. SleepTracker has been “tracking” misc. hours. For starters, I haven’t been wearing my watch each night, so it can’t be tracking my resting BPM however each notification daily says it is, magic! Obviously this is not possible. If that’s not bad enough, it also told me I was asleep yesterday for 2.1hrs in the middle of the day when I was at work where I am actually nonstop so it couldn’t just be a glitch. I don’t trust it for tracking my heart rate because it never matches what my watch tells me either, and for the other mentioned reasons. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Replaces feature I missed most from my Fitbit

When my Fitbit finally died I wanted a way to track my sleep with my new iWatch. I tried a few apps that basically wanted me to tell SleepTracker when I went to sleep and when I woke up. Pretty lame compared to my recently departed Fitbit. SleepMatic filled that gap by collecting heart beats via Bluetooth and calculating my sleep. SleepMatic syncs automatically to the Apple Health app so I can track all my data. Now I just have to remember to charge my watch during the day so I can track my sleep each night.

Absolutely outstanding

Accuracy better then you could begin to imagine, this wonderful app accurately shows you everything you ever wanted to know about your sleep but were afraid to ask, and could not ask (because you are sleeping)! The graphs and statistics are easy to understand, but once you’re grasped them really this is an outstandingly serious aid, to call it an ‘app’ does not do it justice. This is nothing short of miraculous. Thank you so much devs for this incredibly useful intelligent aid to understanding my sleep. Brilliant.

Not very accurate

Currently comparing several sleep apps. This is less accurate than a couple others, for example overstating amount of time in bed and categorizing that as restless sleep and undercounting awakenings. Also, it does not show deep sleep. Too bad one cannot try out an app before buying.

Update: Developer wants me to adjust sensitivity to obtain better results. While I can alter the data by changing the sensitivity setting, I have no way of knowing what sensitivity setting would provide the most accurate data. It seems to me that the developer should be able to determine that, which is the case with another sleep app I am using and prefer. I still don’t recommend buying SleepTracker. Though inexpensive, it is not worth anything to me.

5 star app

I normally do not write a review but SleepTracker is good enough to write a review about, it's a great app before this I bought pillow, problem with that was if I forget to click record sleep or to tell it I woke up, it wouldn't know. Thought the iPhone app for SleepTracker is very primitive, something a guy sitting in the corner with single computer would do, even it is a single guy in the order I would suggest he hires a designer and improve SleepTracker looks and feel, it would really help.

It’s been great; latest update crashes

It’s been working as expected since I got it about a month ago. It has some issues telling when I’m awake; I’m either awake all night or that time I got up to go to the bathroom isn’t recorded - none of the sensitivity settings in between seem to change much. Even with that I was very happy with it until two days ago ever since the last update - the removal of the compilation changes - when I try to open the trends tab SleepTracker crashes. Haven’t been able to open it all month. It’s getting rather frustrating as that was the part that was mostly useful.

Doesn’t work at all

I just started using an Apple Watch after years of wearing a FitBit. I bought SleepTracker because it supposedly works like a FitBit and tracks your sleep automatically, a functionality that seems to be absent on the Watch.

Just to make sure it would work “automatically” (like FitBit) I launched SleepTracker when I went to bed (with the Watch on my wrist, of course). When I woke up in the morning, I checked SleepTracker again and it said “No Data.” So it’s pretty useless ...and I’m switching back to FitBit again.

Love this app!

Before I had SleepMatic, I used the AutoSleep app. AutoSleep said I was sleeping any time I had my phone or Apple Watch charging in the middle of the day, and when I was sitting down to read for more than 30 minutes.

On the contrary, the SleepMatic app is WONDERFUL! After adjusting the sensitivity, it is working perfectly and am extremely happy with it! I’ve used it every night for about 6 months now and I am so glad I bought it! SleepTracker is a wonderful investment if you are looking to track your sleep accurately!

Just the APP I Needed

I need to know how I sleep, how long, how many restless periods and awakenings. SleepMatic APP helps me track my heart rate and sleep pattern as they relate. I sure can tell when I fall asleep without putting my APAP on and sleep just 3-4 hours and get up. Living with chronic pain from Fibromyalgia and facet joint degeneration make bedtime painful most of the time. When I pay attention to feedback I’m often encouraged to ‘force’ myself to get in bed or stay as long as I can at least nod.

Best!

I’ve personally tried just about all of the other sleep tracking apps and have never been satisfied with the results. SleepTracker is pretty accurate and after having used it for a long time, I decided it was time to test other apps out just to see if they got any better, I simply compared the data results between the two apps and still nothing comes close. Great sleep tracking app. Thank you!
