Background – beautiful photos Reviews

I downloaded Background to try it out and initially it won’t let you get past a pop up which requires you to agree to your “free 3 days” of their subscription. There’s no way to get past it without agreeing. I use it a little the first day then don’t come backs for a couple weeks because it’s not that exciting of an app. They have the same few backgrounds it shows you every time I opened it. I saw today a receipt in my email showing that it charged me for two weekly subscriptions ($9.99 per WEEK?!?!?!?) since then. Their prices were never mentioned as a part of the subscription process. I thought I was on a free 3 day trial as they put it and immediately after that it put me on their WEEKLY subscription costing $9.99 which is ridiculous even for an app that has products you would actually use regularly. Background should not be allowed for download! You should know when you’re being robbed of $10 each week for an app subscription that was automatically started at the end of a “free 3 day trial”. Thankfully Apple Support was extremely helpful and worked to get me a refund.

All it does is save an image to your phone that does nothing different than regular images on your phone. Even on “perspective” mode on the this app, it hardly moves. You could probably find the same pictures or even better ones online and screenshot them and they would be no different. Downloading Background is useless and a waste of time and storage. Even in Background it had the false advertising of showing moving images but they only move that much in app. If you’re looking for an app that lets you have cool images like this gives you, you get the same things from Background everyone has, it’s called “settings”. Their ads on social media also have very very false advertising and show a this app that isn’t in it and doesn’t exist. It was cgi and this whole app is a ripoff. I’m writing this to hopefully save someone the time and storage I had wasted falling into their trap. I honestly don’t know why it has such high reviews.

Honestly why does Background have 4.2 stars? It should have 1.0 because literally who wants to pay for an app that has NORMAL wallpapers. I thought I would be amazing and have 3D or doesn’t look like 2D photos, but no. On Snapchat I saw Background and I was wondering how bad could it be? So I came to Background Store and saw the stars and I’m like ok this is not TOO bad... but then I look at the reviews, “DONT DOWNLOAD” or “HORRIBLE” or “ew”. So I just thought to myself maybe they’re overreacting. When I downloaded Background , literally YOU HAVE PAY and you can’t do ANYTHING until you PAY. Of course before all of this happened I knew that u had to pay but since the stars were pretty high then I thought I would be ok. Please for ANY people, don’t download Background, it’s useless. Unless they take off the point where you have to pay then DONT DOWNLOAD!

It’s ok I mean there are some pretty good things on Background but I mean u can look it up on google and get the same ones. Trust me I found the same one on google as Background so I really don’t like this at all. It says it is live I mean it is live on Background but once u save it is not live anymore, so people just don’t waste your money on Background. I do not like it cause u can get this on google which saves u money. So what I say is just don’t get it because you can get better ones somewhere else where it is free, but that is just my opinion. I wanted to say this so u don’t waste time and money on realizing that it is bad. I hope u read this and tell people about how Background is a ripe off. If not go on try it for yourself and see that it does not work and that it just will not make u happy.

This used to be a phenomenal app to use for looking and saving beautiful wallpapers. I purchased the premium service because I figured the setup they had before was through that gateway and they were simply showing a “watered down” low quality version of what was. Boy was I wrong. Once you purchase premium nothing resets, and there’s no difference in Background , except of course the part where now they have your $20. There’s no help section, and the “Contact Us” button does not work. I tried deleting Background and resetting my phone but nothing changed. They’ve either been hacked or had a change of heart, and decided to start scamming people. I just want my money back.

Background used to be wonderful to see new and visually interesting photography, even on the free version! I had Background for over a year, and a few months ago Background stopped working. I figured they were updating some things, so I just ignored it until it started working again. However, the new version almost seems like a ripoff copy of what it was before. All of the text is layered over itself, and the photos don’t move like they’re supposed to (nor will they update to anything besides the same 10 pictures). Almost seemed like they’d been hacked! Overall, Background WAS good, but now whatever they’ve done to it has ruined the entire app.

So I got Background today I found it from an add, it showed you that you could move around the wallpaper when your off Background but the problem is ... is that you have to buy the premium pass or something also it showed the starter thing with the it showing you could move it off Background and when I tried it , all it did was stay still so that’s just annoying. The only good thing about Background is that you don’t have to screenshot it. In all I’m rating it 1 , so don’t download Background it’s a wast of time and money and it’s a scam also, try to read 1 or 2 of the reviews before downloading an app and look at the ratings! Just so you know it’s not a scam or if it doesn’t have good quality.

Frist to get into Background it shows a ad for their premium which you can’t remove unless you completely shut down Background and enter back in created by a different ad for premium but you can exit it. The backgrounds are pretty cool but you can use Google to get them to. in the ad it shows that you can move the this app around with your finger. this is 100% false and bad advertising. this company is super shady. delete Background after I got a couple backgrounds I liked. not recommend if you’re looking for backgrounds google search them and then screenshot. DO NOT DOWNLOAD UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO GET AROUND PAYING A SUBSCRIPTION BY SHUTTING Background DOWN AND DONT KEEP IT INSTALLED. Sincerely Your Concerned Customer,

Complete rip off. There is an awful 3 day trial (wow 3 days) that you have to accept before you can even use Background . Not only is Background misrepresented by its ad, but terribly misrepresented on Background Store.

After your lengthy 3 day trial you will automatically be charged 9.99 monthly, and here’s the best part, there is no viable way within Background to cancel your subscription. So once your in I guess they got you for life.

I am super disappointed with my experience with Background and not only do I not recommend Background but I would go as far to say Background was created with the intention to scam people out of 10$ one month at a time. ZERO STARS

Some high quality pictures I guess. The Instagram ad (how I found Background) showed some responsive backgrounds, which to be fair are just impossible to do on an iPhone. However I at least thought there might be responsive photos but it’s just regular old images. But worst of all before you download Background just remember it kinda forces a 3 day free trail which if you forget to cancel, it will buy a 10$ 1 WEEK subscription. Just kinda funny because you can buy a year long subscription for 5$? But 10$ for a week is cool too. Thanks for the default Mac this app though I always wanted it on my phone :)

Hello, I’ve been using Background for a very long time and I was about to buy the premium version but I recently opened Background and saw that there is a new premium subscription for $9 per week? I can’t even see photos without signing up for the trial version which includes the automatic subscription. That didn’t happen in previous versions. Please change the subscription back. No offense but nobody is going to spend $10 per week on a this app application. You’re rating is going to drop and I’m sure your money will as well. Please go back.

This was my favorite wallpaper app. I downloaded so many wallpapers on here and would like to continue doing so. I loved tracking the designers and seeing that I kept using the same designers for the backgrounds. I love when you scrolled, it would automatically slow and snap the photo into full view. It was such a simple and elegant wallpaper app. But Background stopped recently and Background is broken. What happened?!? If I need to get a premium membership to support Background , I’ll do it. I just want my favorite wallpaper app back.

I went in Background ready to look through all the amazing wallpapers I saw but it asked for a free trial for premium but then you have to start paying i tried to find a way to exit but I couldn’t there is no choice but to buy it! If the developers read this please respond to this rate because I would love to know if a change can be made to have at least not all wallpapers but divide it into two half of them are free and the others you have to pay AND APART FROM THAT have the premium as another choice.

What happened, this app? You use to be Background with beautiful pictures in your feed everyday and in the search section a plenty of key words and possibilities. It was always a one-time purchase thing in Background and after that it’s all just enjoyable high-resolution pictures to download. Now it’s a app with very limited keywords, regular/low quality photos and a needed $9.99/week subscription. One star for Background and another for how good Background use to be.

Before this was a subscription based app, it was a “one time purchase” app.… which I did. I spent money on Background only to move to a subscription based model. Now, though they tried to honor those purchases, those who were ‘grandfathered’ in are left with low resolution photos and no way to refund said purchase because of how long ago the purchase was made. It’s disappointing how they treat their customers. Unethical business model which will deter me from recommending Background or returning it to my devices again.
