Horrible for local music files

I’m surprised by the glowing reviews. I bought this to be able to synch my mp3s with google drive as well as have a library of local mp3s. Every time I open the player it goes through a very lengthy process that seems to involve removing the track number from each song’s title, e.g., “01 I can’t get no satisfaction” becomes “I can’t get no satisfaction.” Attempting to play any song having the track number in its title (before it’s been removed) causes it to freeze, with an “X” inside of a circle displayed over the title that won’t go away. Also, every time I open it most songs (all local) are grayed out and can’t be played until the process completes. The UI presents the choice of showing “online files” “local files” and “on my IPhone.” What is the difference between “local files” and “on my IPhone?” When I click the latter and browse to what is an mp3 on my iPhone, the “add to library” option does nothing, and there is no way to select the file or folder. This is unusable!

Passable for Large Collections of 100k+ songs

I will start by saying I haven’t found anything better for the size of my collection. Apple and Google/YouTube both cap at 100,000 songs for their cloud music player and I got tired of the limit. GoPlayer solved my problem, at least in small part by lifting the cap. That said, it took over a week to process the metadata for all of my files and I eventually had to delete all of the album artwork because it was filling up my phone even at the smallest image size. If your collection is smaller and loads faster/fits with album art, this is a great player. If you are searching because you are over the 100k songs iTunes Match allows, give it a try but you’ll want to keep looking at the same time.

Great but could use some metadata fixes

I’m really enjoying GoPlayer as a way to manage my Google Drive music library. Being able to play ALAC files in particular is great. The only area where I’d like to see some improvements is the way it handles a few metadata features. It doesn’t seem to manage multi-disc albums very well. Instead of sorting songs by disc and then by track, the entire set is sequenced by track. For example, the tracks will show up as D1-T1, D2-T1, D1-T2, D2-T2, etc. instead of D1-T1, D1-T2, D1-T3, etc. Another thing that would be nice to see is the option to group compilation artists together rather than having to scroll past artists with only one or two songs in my library.

Can’t change titles

Ok so I know this doesn’t seem like that big of a deal, however, it gets really frustrating. The only way I have managed to get music to google drive, sets it with random letters and numbers, so I have to go onto google drive to change it. This may seem simple however it gets rather difficult when I miss name some of them, then have to search all over my google drive account to find the song, listen to it to figure out what the actual title is of it, delete previous song from GoPlayer, then replace it with the proper one, all just so I don’t get mixed up on which song is which....other than that it’s good...other than the fact that the songs fade out as you get to the end of them, before they actually end.

Only 1 Problem

This is a great app. Really nothing wrong with it. Why the four stars? Just a pet peeve-
When I have a playlist, and am listening to a song, about one second before the song ends another one starts. Not too distracting for half of my songs, but some of my songs actually end at 0 seconds. I don’t know if it’s a programming error or for copyright reasons. Otherwise, I advise you to get this if you want to put your audio from google drive into a playlist! I downloaded 8D audio and it sounds exact! (Actually 12D Queen but whatever)

Exceptional!

GoPlayer is perfect for syncing large collections of music which are stored on the cloud and playing directly from it (or downloading in onto an iPhone, which is notoriously hard to do). I would recommend the Pro version, as it is not that expensive and completely opens up the application. I do like the UI of this application, as it is logical, looks nice, and is stable (I haven’t had many of bugs if at all). The “port gore” view is my preference, as I like the blacked out appearance. Exceptional application!

My favorite music player

don't have apple music anymore because of GoPlayer, i have all my unreleased/downloaded music on here!👍 recommend to all my friends. newest update which came out yesterday, Nov-22-20 fixed user interface errors i have been having for the last couple months, now a lot of my buttons aren't invisible (example would be my bluetooth speaker changing option and a ton of other things like queue and shuffle buttons) 🔑

Reply to “I want the barracks...” regarding cross fade

If you don’t want your tracks to “cross fade” or blend into each other after one track ends, just go to Settings > Audio Player > Crossfade playback, then you will be able to turn off this feature. I personally like it, but the option is there when I don’t want it.
I’m so glad I bought the Pro version of GoPlayer so I can add multiple cloud storages.
Excellent!

Exceeded Expectations

I wanted an app that could simply go to the next song when the previous song was done and this goes above and beyond. It allows you to make playlists, have great song transitions, download songs, set a sleep timer, Use an equalizer, and even set song bookmarks with a sleek design and awesome compatibility. I generally don’t write reviews but GoPlayer deserves it. All the developer responses reflect that.

Playlist works again!

Five stars again now that the playlist is working. Now, if only there were a way of syncing playlists from one device to another. I have complete playlists on my iPhone but having reinstalled on my iPad before GoPlayer was upgraded they’re gone from my iPad. Is there a way, or do I have to reconstruct them on the iPad anew? Either way, it’s once again a terrific app — the best by far!

Just what I was looking for !

It works unbelievable amazing !! A way to listen to your google drive audio files without the hassle of downloading it through iTunes !! It has so many more features than even Apple Music app!
I just loved GoPlayer!! If you don’t want the adds just pay $2.99 which is nothing honestly for all the functions it has!

Helpful but Annoying

I have a number of mp3 audio books on my Google drive and I like that GoPlayer let's me download and listen to them... BUT every night (or whenever I don't listen to GoPlayer for a few hours) it forgets my place. And it's really annoying to search for where I left off over and over and over again. Sometimes it remembers if I use the sleep timer. And bookmarks help if I can remember to set one... And which chapter I set it in. But I just wish it would remember the last item played.

Most reliable synchronization

Of all the cloud players I’ve tried, GoPlayer has the best synchronization method I’ve seen. It’s completely rock solid, updates and syncs both in real time and background. Pro mode IAP is a nice luxury but isn’t necessary for a good experience - you can unlock pro mode by watching an ad as well.

I can play my music!

I’ve had my music stored in google drive for a year, it was a hassle playing my favorite songs on my phone because they had to load before playing each song I’m glad I can now play everyday song without any buffering 🙌🏾

Wow! Awesome! Flawless!

I was pleasantly surprised to find this amazing music app. It does even more than described. For one thing, Google Drive will NOT play my M4a music from within their app but this app does. Also I like streaming without downloading and taking up storage space. My only request is to access Dropbox in addition to Google Drive.

Great, but fishy.

I love using GoPlayer. Don’t get me wrong, it has been very helpful. But when I uninstalled it (needed more space on my phone), I still had “EMSAT_GOOGLE” on my phone, and still takes up 70 megabytes. This is from the same developer. I found that to be a bit fishy.

Almost perfect

It works as expected, and I don't really have any issues. The only thing lacking is shortcut support. I want to be able to set up a shortcut so that all that I have to is press one button, and it opens GoPlayer and starts playing a song. Unfortunately, that isn't currently possible to do.

With every update...

With every update, this app gets better! I have had issues in the past with GoPlayer . One thing I can say is this: the developers listen ( in the past I posted that they didn’t. I take that back. I was wrong!!) Thanks guys!!!

Exactly what I needed for composing

While working on new songs I will make quick mixes and save them to a Google Drive online. I point this app to that directory and then listen to the song later in the car, bed, walking, etc. perfect.

I’m satisfied

I have been tryouts ng tonfind an app that will let me play my music on google drive but is set up as a music player. GoPlayer does all that. On my google drive you can’t hit shuffle on my music you have to hit play each new song. Finally I found GoPlayer to resolve my issue.

Competent alternative to iTunes

After the iOS 14.4 update iTunes on Win10 has been broken for me. The integration with Google Drive is great. With iTunes you'd need to be physically at your PC/MAC through Wi-Fi or wired to sync. I don't think I'll be going back to iTunes and I found it worth to support the devs with their ONE TIME purchase of the Pro version 👍
