Update: 12-4-2016 - This is a garbage app. I'm on an iPad air2 and have yet to get past TongoMusic's loading screen. Ive done a full reset and re-downloaded TongoMusic even.

I reckon this behavior is either wholly unique to my experience or the positive reviews here come from a Fiverr transaction.

Downloaded app for daughter. Opened to an animation of a guy walking up to a flower, picking it, the flower turning into a musical note, and the guy placing the note in his hat. I assume this to be a loading animation.

The loading animation run 22 times before I closed TongoMusic and tried to start it again to the same result.

I'm certain this will be worked out and I look forward to that happening soon. I can't offer much of an evaluation good or bad based on my experiences - but if I knew it would behave in this manner before purchasing, I wouldn't do it again.

Update 2016-10-30: The 1.2 update elicits the same results. Just a ton of repetition on a loading screen. I feel as though I've been defrauded out of $2.99. I thought Apple's closed ecosystem made it impossible to submit apps that won't work, so I'll stay hopeful this glitch is unique to me.

I loaded the game because it's on Apple's featured page and TongoMusic won't even load correctly.

I have loaded down twice. Opens to a blue screen and a small, animated symbol similar to the wifi graduated arches. I cannot get any further response from TongoMusic. PLEASE help.

I know TongoMusic is rated for babies and toddlers. I'd say that's pretty accurate. For patient children, it would be good too. Not so much for my active 7 year old grandson. While he loves music, the time it takes to get the items to respond is too long for him. I purchased it hoping it would be a good program for him. Not so much. This program should not startle young children. It does play classical music while things slowly move on the screen. The listener controls the action by touching certain items. I did not no which ones to touch, so it is good for exploration.

First of all, I had no problems downloading TongoMusic as other reviews suggested - try for yourself, it works!

Love TongoMusic ! It's well-designed and intuitive to use. Especially like that it has no language built into the experience which means even 2yr olds can use it! It's great for kids, but even I catch myself getting lost in this magical world more often than I'd care to admit!

Downloaded TongoMusic for my god son. He is 4 y/o and loves anything musical. This is a simple app but in my opinion, is very interactive and will surely keep kids entertained. It is easy to navigate and honestly, I find it so cute. This is an app that every parent should get for their kids if they own an ipad or play with phones. What I like about TongoMusic is it is very colorful, musical, and the characters are perfect for kids.

TongoMusic is a perfect way for little kids to learn about music. The music is absolutely beautiful as well as the animation. Each area has its own music and different things to interact with. I personally believe the best part of TongoMusic is where your child can play a bit of a piano and make music on their own.

My daughter is in love with TongoMusic. She can sit for a very long time, playing her favorites over and over. My husband and I are both classical musicians and we love the quality of the recordings and the chosen pieces. Thumbs up!

My grandchildren love TongoMusic. Every time they are near my iPhone they expect the "music cartoon". I can't wait to tell them his name is Tongo. He is already loved, now he is named.

Our daughter absolutely loves this music app! Fun scenes, easy exploration, and genuinely joyful. The animal characters are really cute. The music itself is very high quality. We would love to see more from this developer.

My almost-3-year-old adores TongoMusic. It's so innocent and lovely.

TongoMusic seems really kid friendly the different scenery when you click on different things on the home screen are really cute. TongoMusic even explains what it is trying to show kids about music. There lots of different scenery and kids can play with lots of different animals while they learn about music like a monkey and a swan. It seems like a great app. for families to send time together with learning about music not just a mindless game that kids don't learn anything from.
