There’s no settings button as shown on the previews. There is no way to add a widget or make any changes to LunarPhaseWidget at all, all it does is slowly load a screen with a huge picture of the moon and minimal info. There is a lone button to rate LunarPhaseWidget , so here you go.

LunarPhaseWidget has zero instructions and it’s not compatible with the iphone update... I even bought the premium thinking it would allow me to add a widget and it didn’t work. DO NOT GET IT

I spent money on LunarPhaseWidget, but now adding a widget with the moon moving costs money and you need the “pro” version. It used to be free. You can only get a moon PNG thing that does nothing. Do NOT get LunarPhaseWidget, the good reviews are from before.

Edit: Nevermind, there is one widget with a moon that moves (and one that is just a PNG.) However, it is the smallest one and has the least features. Everything else is behind a paywall.

If you’re trying to put a widget on ur homescreen, do not get this! It says that the “pro-version” is required for every single one and the pro version costs 4.99 a month. So, even thought it’s in the title of LunarPhaseWidget , do not get this for widgets!

I’ve been using LunarPhaseWidget for a little over a year. The UI was great and contained all the info you could want from LunarPhaseWidget. After using the widget for a year it turns out that the widget I’ve been using is now part of the “pro” subscription. Indeed many of the things that made LunarPhaseWidget so great are now stuck behind a paywall, making the base app essentially worthless.

With this in mind, I have to say there are better alternatives out there with much prettier UI that perform better than LunarPhaseWidget for the same or less cost. I understand that the developers want to get compensated for their work, and that’s fair, but turning previously free features into subscriber only features without adding any functionality is a lazy way getting paid and a sure fire way of losing customers.

LunarPhaseWidget has an over all good idea but they should just have you pay for LunarPhaseWidget instead of making each option or any aspect of LunarPhaseWidget chargeable. I just want a simple widget that reminds me of each moon phase, why do I gotta pay on every app.

I want a moon app that doesn’t reference the zodiac at all. I like that you can turn off parts of the zodiac but on the info at the bottom it still references it. Other than that I like everything else.

I downloaded LunarPhaseWidget and used the widget on my Home Screen for a small amount of time. Then, it shut down the widget and said premium only. So, it’s a ok app, but I downloaded it for the widget.

1. I can't figure out how to get the moon-only view, no blue plot, as shown here on LunarPhaseWidget Store.
2. It doesn't automatically update. I have to exit out of LunarPhaseWidget and restart it to get current day's phase.
But it is simple and lovely.

This is a good app. It would nice if it had a compass finder feature, like my parallel sun app. Also real time elevation.
But a good app insofar as it goes.

Really like the look of LunarPhaseWidget, any chance you can make a setting to set a background behind the widget instead of just a color, that way it would blend more into my phone layout. Even still it looks nice

This is hands down the best looking moon widget! The moon photo is breathtaking and a joy to have on my home screen!

I’m always looking for the moon as a southwest dweller. The small widget has the moon phase & rise/set which makes it’s minimal and stunning. Quick touch and opens LunarPhaseWidget to more information.

The bonus is having the ability to change the background color of my widget! Very responsive developer. Thank you!

Although there were some problems I had, the developer was very quick and nice with responding. LunarPhaseWidget works and looks great, love it.

LunarPhaseWidget is for people who just want to check moon-phase without a lot if details. If you want more details you buy the detailed information package

This is an excellent application in that it gives you concise data and an elegant phase display which you can slide forward and back in time while seeing the phases with all the pertinent data displayed at the same time on one page. Lots of extras. Bravo!!!!!

I use LunarPhaseWidget because I like the design of the widget and it makes up for what the other lunar phase app is missing. I use more than one lunar phase app because unfortunately they each lack certain features I'm looking for. Doesn't make me want to delete LunarPhaseWidget though!

Use this as an app and it’s very attractive, use this as a widget and it’s kind of ugly and boring. You need to pay for details to appear in widget form, disappointing.

There is no calendar associated with future moon phases. A total waste for planning trips.
