Gameplay should include earning gems and less Ads

The game is really fun but it is very discouraging and takes away from the fun the fact that most of the upgrades take gems and we hardly to never get any with gameplay. None of the achievements so far that I see award gems and even on the bonus 5th levels I haven’t received any. The game should be fair for both paying and nonpaying players. I would be more likely to support the Devs financially if the gems were able to be earned. Also there are way too many ads which also takes away from fun. I recently downloaded the app and it might end up deleted due to these 2 things.

I love these types of games and don’t mind the ads as I know they have a purpose. However, I don’t love having to pay to upgrade the equipment just to keep up with the levels in the very first kitchen. I understand about “in game purchases”, but seriously- you can’t even get one extra pan without gems which you don’t earn, you purchase. You should be able to earn at least some gems. Perhaps earning 1 gem for every level beaten. And certain levels you could earn extras by earning 3 stars. Deleting this one as there are plenty like it that don’t want to charge me a fortune just to play. Too bad because the game play is fun.
Bugs need fixing

So I did the actions that are supposed to add bonus diamonds to my account (linking FB, following on FB, inviting a friend), etc., and the bonus diamonds are never awarded.
Also reached achievements that award coins and/or diamonds (50 cola served, 150 burgers served, 150 omelette served, I have tons of them!) but no matter how many times I press the CLAIM button for my rewards, nothing happens. Also tried different areas to press - still no luck.
The developers need to wake up and pay attention.
