Fight List - Categories Game Reviews

I am a big fan of this game! I've only been playing for about a week but was looking for something similar to Scattergories and this game is about as close as you will get with a lot more "forgiveness." First off you aren't limited to 1 letter per category, which itself is helpful. Secondly, if you get stuck you have the option to push a "joker button" and it will put an answer up on the board for you. (I don't recommend doing this a lot, it eats up your coins, but in fairness it is a great saver to get your mind on track of what kind of answers they are looking for in the certain category, especially if you keep typing answers and receive 0 points...yup, just click that button and it will get you back on track😁) also at the end of a round you have the option to review ALL of the possible answers that the developers have grouped in totality which helps to reduce your frustration because then you have a reference of "what they were looking" for as far as answers. There are a lot of ads which is a bummer but I imagine that the ads are shown to attract you to download that app, and while doing that, maybe fight list is advertised while playing THAT app if you downloaded it. Kind of like a sponsorship. I don't know, just a guess. All in all i think this game passes time gets your mind goin and makes you wanna keep playin! Try it you will like it!

This game is so fun but it is also hard some of the questions are hard and some of them are easy. If you have never heard of this game and you just heard about it know download it because it will be the best game you have ever played and you will not want to stop playing it. These are some of the things you do on fight list and the details. What you do in the game is you go against people and try to get the answers right to a question and you ether win you lose. You can make your own Avatar and you can make your own name our you can just put your own name. But anyways you will want to download this game because you will love it forever. FightList isn’t bad. It is really fun to play and rather addictive. The only problem with it is that it has SO MANY ADDS!!!!!!! Way to many! 😠After every 40 second round, an add appears. It is often the same to ads that you get so sick of watching. I got so sick of it I would just close FightList and swipe it away, and relaunch it after the ad was over. They do this so you will spend money to get no ads. I am a fan of fight list, but the ads are too redundant and too numerous. That is why I cannot give this fun game 5 stars.
Sometimes the theme of the round can be something you know all about, or don’t know at all. It can be rather annoying when you don’t know what the theme is or you don’t understand it and your opponent wins for that reason. It does, thankfully, let you vote if you enjoyed it or not. It does help to not show it again. I guess my main problem with FightList would be the ridiculous amount of ads the game shows. It sometimes interrupts a round just to show you a stupid ad the game has already shown you.
If you like this type of game, go for it! But it if you are interested, and if you can put up with the ads. If you think it looks fun but are a little on the fence, I wouldn’t. The ads make doing one little round too time consuming. But hey, it’s your choice. You do you! 😄

This game is usually a lot of fun, but you might get lonesome playing it. The premise is straight forward, and who doesn’t like a good battle? There are ads—but anyone who complains about ads needs to get over themselves. They aren’t that long, and that’s how developers make money when cheap players pay $1k for a phone but won’t pay $2 for a decent app.

Anyhow, at its best: the game has interesting categories to test your knowledge as you compete with opponents. It tracks your stats, has lots of tools to help you out, and opportunities for free coins. It’s most fun when you can get 5-6 games running with random people, and having rematches with those you defeat or lose to.

At its worst: People stop playing when they start losing. There should be a way for people to forfeit a game for inactivity. Currently, it just remains “their turn” until they just disappear. There should also be a solo-play option so you don’t need human opponents. As for the gameplay, it wouldn’t hurt to add more time for typing—especially for those of us with large fingers. Sometimes partial answers are accepted, but not always. Lastly, some answers are wrong which isn’t cool. Developers need to fix that.

I’ve been playing this game for about two weeks now. I have to say it is really fun and it’s honestly quite addicting. This game is great except when it’s not. I have had a few problems that I feel you should look out for. Sometimes when playing a round an ad will pop up and disturb the game. Mid word, I’ve had an ad cause the play store to open and upon trying to close it, it just reopened. Of course since the game doesn’t pause this affected my answers. Also, I’ve noticed that the points (punches or whatever they are) will automatically disappear. Right before writing this review i had 280 points . I played a round and brought my points down to 200. Upon returning to the main menu I noticed it only said I had 40 points. Where are they going then? Also it would be nice to be able to play multiple games with people. Once you start a game you must completely finish the game before you can challenge a person again. To sum it all up, I must reiterate that this is a really good game. I encourage more people to play but to just be aware that there are still minor bugs that could affect your game play.

The ads are strong with this one. Sometimes it gives you a false exit or some ads no matter what, it takes you to FightList Store, even if you are hitting the X you can’t get out of it. You Need to close FightList entirely and reboot. Some of the questions are lame like 1-10 in Spanish. Almost everyone gets all 10 and I have seen this category in multiple games so it becomes redundant. Some categories are great and a lot of fun like old lady names. Tons of fun thinking of my grandma and her friends (alive and dead) names. Characters of certain tv shows are also fun categories. Categories like... presidents on mt. Rushmore?Well there are only 4 answers so it’s not a deep pool there. Really the ads are what kill this from letting it really get off the ground. I have deleted FightList twice now just because the ads that you cannot get out of without closing and restarting FightList , become infuriating. Pay to remove is a gimmick all apps use now and when I have fallen for it they still wiggle ads in sneaky ways. But if they are putting ads on their app then they are getting paid anyways so I don’t feel like giving them more money to annoy others. I was hopeful that this game had potential but it got more of an annoyance the more I played.

My BFF and I love this game but we also get so annoyed with it. There are so many bugs ALL THE TIME, and the bugs change periodically. We used to have a lot of trouble with our coin amounts changing incorrectly from screen to screen. That seems to finally have been fixed, but new issues have cropped up. For a while now, our notifications that it’s our turn to play have completely stopped working. Even if we nudge each other, we still get no notification. We’ve even tried deleting and redownloading FightList , but it didn’t help. We’ve resorted to texting each other EVERY time it’s the other person’s turn, which is so annoying. Also, for the last several days, I have been having a problem where I watch an ad to get free coins ... but then I get no coins. When I can finally X out of the ad and go back to the main screen, it still says I can watch an ad. I watch the ad AGAIN and STILL get no coins. So basically I can’t get any more coins unless I buy them, which isn’t fair. The worst part is that it’s always an ad for that annoying Choices game, which I can’t stand. PLEASE fix these glitches! It’s my favorite game to play with my BFF, but it is so frustrating sometimes! Thanks!

I love this game! (Obviously, I rated it 5 stars.) However, it does need a few things fixed. One, the synchronization needs to work better. Sometimes I have to sync a round 2 or 3 times before it works. Second, there needs to be a time limit or something to complete the game. I have a ton of games started with random people because they don’t finish the game, even when nudged. Like, if I am ahead 3-1 or 4-0, the opponent will simply not play the last round. I suggest something like an automatic forfeit by the opponent who doesn’t take their turn after 2 days, or x amount of time. Lastly, they need someone to double check answers in the categories. Sometimes, answers are on there that clearly are incorrect. It is frustrating to lose a round because someone got points for incorrect answers. For example, the category: Natural hair colors, Answers: blond, brown, gray, red, orange, purple, green, pink, white, blue, black, etc. Obviously, pink, purple, green are not natural hair colors so they should not get any points!

This is supposed to be fun and I thought that way until one sore loser decided to drop me a message accusing me of Googling my responses. Even after telling her that I’ve been playing this game for a while and have practically memorised some of the answers (thanks to Reveal Answer option!) in addition to my love of trivia (an avid player of Jeopardy and Trivial Pursuit), she still wouldn’t budge and pointed out how I lost on categories such as essentials for kids’ parties / proms and parts of bed. To that, I have this to say: this game is played by people from all corners of the earth, peopld who may not use, let alone KNOW, what a ‘devan’ is, people whose knowledge of ‘prom’ is based on American TV programmes, people whose idea of a kids’ birthday party constitutes having a bouncer and slide (which does not appear as a response because the ‘correct’ answer is ‘bouncing castle’). The point I am trying to make is: This game seems to be skewed towards western ideals and it is repulsive and offensive for someone to assume that just because a person is knowledgable in Entertainment and Georaphy but struggles a wee bit when it comes to some non-associated cultural theme, that person is automatically cheating via Google. Hence, the need for a button to block such ignoramuses + sore losers.

I really like playing fight list but I find it constantly annoying that the ads pop up. I understand there’s ads in the game but they use to only pop up after a round was over and now they constantly pop up during the match so I can’t type and loose time therefore causing me to loose the round. I’ve also had another ad problem where all of a sudden FightList takes me to another website on safari/google when I never clicked an ad and there wasn’t even one showing up on the game that I could've clicked to begin with. This will happen sometimes and when it does it’s at least 3 times in a row all during me playing a match also causing me to loose time to play and not being able to type any answers. It also glitches during some ads where they either won’t play or will be black and I have to reload the game again. I update FightList every time there’s a new version but this problem is never solved!! Please fix this so I can’t enjoy the game without being interrupted during every match! It’s making me not want to play anymore!!

jonboyle1 is totally wrong about this game if you have seen his comment in app support. First he says there are to many adds. Then just buy the no add deal, it’s not very expensive. Second he says the questions are mostly about countries. Totally not true. If you download the game then you will see it has a variety of categories. Also the age limit should be on my opinion 8 plus. This game is fun it has some issues. Some of the answers are totally false. I had a question that was animals that can fly, at the end I checked what all the possibilities were and turns out penguin and ostrich were two of the options. We obviously know that penguins and ostrich’s can not fly. But, this game is great for all ages. Even my mom plays this wonderful game. I totally recommend this game m, just make sure you check over a few things after each round. I hope you liked my feed back and please download this game. It’s 😉 amazing! I’ve been playing this game in moments where I’m bored and just need to pass time. That turned into much more. I find myself playing this game almost daily and enjoying it. It’s fun. Fast. And sometimes makes me laugh. Sometimes it won’t take the right answer or it’ll take an answer that doesn’t make sense, but I’m not exactly here to learn anything so it’s okay. I do like this over Scattergories, only because I can type however fast and mess up the spelling a bit and it’ll correct it, take it and give me points for it. Doesn’t happen every single time but does for the most part. Scattergories, I really have to be careful how I spell things or it won’t take the answer. Have suggested this game to friends and battle them as well. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to pass time, looking for something to do when you’re stuck on the toilet, train, long car ride.. whatever. It’s fun. Give it a go.

This is a great app and all I love it! It makes me work out my brain each day. But the ads... ITS WAY TOO MUCH. Right after I finish my round and it’s about to show the results THERE IS A DUMB AD. There are ads that aren’t even needed. They take FOREVER to X out. I believe it’s on purpose too. When I have WiFi it shows a white screen and does not allow me to exit. RIDICULOUS. I can’t do anything after the white screen appears. I tap the x countless times and it does not exit. I have no choice to exit. And clear out FightList then open it again. Improve that please. I have the second app and hopefully it’s better than this one. Because the number of ads are INSANE. Then they say”remove ads”. YOU THINK I WANT TO PAY FOR THAT?!?!?!!?!?!? THATS WHAT I THOUGHT. This game is good when it comes to battling people. But....... why don’t they have a mode that you can answer the questions by yourself. I have a ton of games running due to me not being able to play by myself. I was about
to give this four stars but it’s now two. After typing this I realized this game has a TON of problems. Hopefully the seconds game is better. 😑

FightList is one of the best "trivia"(I guess that's what you would call it) apps I've ever seen! Going and testing your knowledge against others while listing things. There is one problem I have been having tho... Sometimes when I'm playing something like a video will try to pop up and it won't go away and I can't list things. Another one is that sometimes I have soooo many ideas to type down and I'm a fast typer but the keyboard will glitch out and will freeze on me while the time is still ticking! One more thing is that there are WAY too many adds-like every single time I finish a round there you have it and add! I know that they help with money and sponsor meant but there is seriously way too many adds. That's something that drives me so crazy that I may soon delete the game-I rly don't want to tho because of how fun this game is. Developers and all of Voodoo pls fix these bugs and dial back the number of adds. But besides those things I highly recommend FightList!

This is a very fun game that I actually can’t stop playing. Although, there are SO many ads. Just about everything you do causes two ads to play before you can continue. However, after a while of continuous playing, I chose to pay the $2.99 to get rid of the ads. Now, unlike some games, I actually haven’t seen a single ad since paying. Also unlike some games, this one isn’t just out to get your money. You can start as many new matches as you want with no wait time or fee. I actually have almost 80 matches going right now. You can choose to play with random people or with friends. During a match, if you’re stuck and can’t think of anything, you can use coins to get answers or more time. You can buy coins (they really aren’t outrageously priced) but you are also given a fair amount of coins as you play. Overall, this is a very fun game that you don’t have to spend any money on unless you want to.

I never write reviews but there are a couple things about this game that I don’t get. It’s a fun game! I have been playing for about 2 hours now. However, I have some complaints. It kind of annoys me that you can put in some answers that are technically right but don’t count to anything because the game hasn’t heard of them. Also, I get a lot of categories relating to things I don’t know like sports. Which I get... just because I don’t know some things doesn’t make it a bad game. I just wish that maybe we could choose a preference of things to be asked? Also I’ve gotten a lot of repeat categories like “things that are pink” well... a lot of things can be pink haha. But my number one complaint is that I choose a random opponent and it ended up being someone I had played already which is fine BUT THE QUESTIONS WERE ALL IN SPANISH! I don’t speak Spanish so I resigned from the game. It wasn’t just one question either it was all of them. My language is set to English so I don’t know why this happened!

Anyway long review short fun game but I think there are some bugs so work out.

For Developer:

1. There needs to be an easy way to report a wrong answer
2. Pop-up ads while playing a round need to be removed.

For Player/Potential Player:

This game is super fun! One of my family’s favorite games growing up was Scattergories, and is very similar to that.

I understand the need for ads in an app. The people who make FightList need to get paid, but in FightList , it has started opening my web browser during a game to show me an ad. It scares me that my phone has been infected with something, but thankfully it is only while playing fight list. It is very annoying though to be in the middle of a round and have an ad pop up.

Also, there is no way really to keep all the answers up to date. If you know an answer is true but it didn’t give you points, if you tap and hold the answer, it gives you the option to submit that answer to them. I have yet to find an easy way to report answers that are false though.

You can also send in request categories, or, once you have played for a while, make up your own list. I believe this is why the points are screwy sometimes, because you can add the points also. I don’t know if someone reviews them extensively first before putting the list into the game. Once the developer fixes some of these main problems, I will easily give the game 5 stars. Absolutely love it!! In the meantime, remember not all apps are perfect right from the start :)

I love the game! 60 second trivia is perfect for a quick game when I have time or marathon sessions when I have nothing to do. There is one MAJOR issue, I have 50+ matches now that are stuck in the “your turn” group of matches, that have run out of time. I’ve clicked them numerous times but the matches won’t finish and go down to the “finished games” group therefore clogging up my matches and screen. If I withdraw from them they’ll finally go to the correct section on my screen but have a hugely negative impact on my score. I’ve written to FightList creators through many different ways, over the past 3 weeks and not one of my messages has been answered. The customer service is the absolute WORST that I have ever seen in FightList Store.
If they’d fix this game problem, with the matches that run out of time, and fix their customer service issues, then FightList would earn five stars from me, but at this point it seems like they only care about how to get your money and they won’t even bother to return a message after getting your money, therefore not even deserving the one star rating I gave them.

I really love the game. I have been looking for something like this to play for a while, and I finally came across this game. My only complaint is that, as the title suggests, there is no one player mode. The only way to play is against other people either friends or random. That’s fine when you only want to play for a few minutes, but when you have a while sometimes you want to play without having to wait on the other person to get back on and respond should they take a while. The only way to keep playing now is to start another game, but then you run into the problem of having too many ongoing games to really keep track very easily about which is which. If there was a one player mode where you could just play and try to get so many answers or maybe points for coins or something, that would solve my issue. Still I really do like the game a lot.

This game has a really good idea behind it, but a few factors are keeping me from enjoying it.
1) they give you NO TIME to answer. You get less than 30 seconds to write down answers to categories like “colors” and “animals”. I’m sorry, but even a really fast typer CANNOT possibly get out even a fraction of the answers they want to put down. I understand the timer is necessary, but there’s no reason it can’t be a LITTLE longer.
2) the game likes the glitch and get rid of your progress. When I was in the middle of writing a list, the game glitched up (and I have a brand new iPhone X... it is not a hardware problem). It basically shut down FightList and completely deleted all the things I had written, giving me a score of zero. Talk about unfair.
3) there are ads all the time. I understand that ads are necessary, but NOT this many. I swear, after every list you finish, YOU GET A 30 SECOND AD. I’m sorry, but it’s a LITTLE excessive!
Overall, this could be a really great game if these things were fixed. Until then, I guess I’ll just stick to something else.
