Just keeps getting worse.

I paid $2.99 for the short second chapter back when it released. I didn’t know if we’d ever see more of the game, but they finally added a third chapter. Only problem is, I had to replay the second chapter again. And they added an annoying memory game to it, where you’re blindly tapping on TV screens to see what’s on them, hoping you’ll find enough matches before you run out of the six attempts. It’s completely random each time so you can’t learn from previous failed attempts. And I can’t access chapter 3 until I pass this. This game started off interesting but it’s clear these developers don’t really know what they’re doing. I’m inclined to just give up and move on. I definitely won’t be giving them any more of my money.

Update: I finally got past that miserable puzzle and made some progress, but the game didn’t stay in my memory when I minimized it. When I continued, it loaded up right BEFORE that godd***ed memory ****! This is a torture simulator, not a game.

Update 2: Since I write about mobile games for a living, I spent the $2.99 on Chapter 3. I was enjoying it...until I hit a timed platforming section with terrible controls. Since the game doesn’t save mid-chapter, I can’t take a break and come back when I’m less angry and frustrated, because then I would have to redo everything up to that point. This game has interesting puzzles broken up with the worst and most annoying mini games. Just avoid it if you’re not a masochist.

Enjoyable gameplay but total greedy SCAM

Alright, I’m not usually one to review games but I must say: BUYER BEWARE (since they already have my money, I’m hoping I can save yours)!!! So you get the first chapter free. Decent game, I really liked it THEN it asked me to pay $2.99 to continue on to the next chapter. Mind you, there’s a “so so” amount of gameplay for the first chapter considering that it’s free, so I thought that was a fair price to pay to continue to “unlock” what I thought would be the rest of the game. BUT WAIT! Within maybe half hour of purchasing I finished that chapter to find out they hadn’t come out with the next part of the game!!! Wow. What a disappointment. I still kept the game on my phone hoping they’d create the next part soon, which they did, as I had gotten the game about a week ago before they added more chapters. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!! I started and finished the next chapter within the same hour today to find out I HAD TO PAY ANOTHER $2.99 TO UNLOCK ANOTHER CHAPTER OF THIS GAME!!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? This game is very enjoyable and fun, but it is not worth $6 or more!!! Especially the fact that you must watch 30 sec ads to get any clues, 30 SECONDS, which is quite a lot of time in TheOfficeQuest ad world, so the game is already gaining revenue from that too. I’m beyond disappointed of the greediness coming from this company.

Bait and Switch

I liked this game, well, the first 10 minutes. I got the game thinking it would be free. After all it was under top free. When I started the game I thought that this would be a fun and challenging game. It got both of those down, for 10 minutes. When you get past the desk with 4 coworkers it will ask you to pay like $2 or $3. I got the game because it was “free” and I don’t have money. I hope in the future the developers will fix this and either let you know that they are giving you a free trial or just make it free. The developers will be making money off the clues with more game to play anyways. The game was good but the paying aspect was not.

Why are the ratings so negative?

When I got this game a couple years ago and played it, it was so satisfying going from chapter to chapter. The gameplay and potential that this game has showcased is amazing for an indie game that I found on TheOfficeQuest Store when I was searching one day. I get it, there’s money involved and everyone hates that. Well here’s what I have to say to you guys complaining about the money situation. If you look deep in your heart, and you really do enjoy playing this phenomenal game why can’t you spare the money. There’s Christmas, Birthday’s, Easter exc… in a year. Just get a 10-15$ iTunes card and use it. You won’t regret it I promise. I wish 11Sheep would make an Office Quest 2 because I genuinely enjoyed playing this game with my friends by my side solving the puzzles. #MakeAnOfficeQuest2

Costs not upfront

I actually really liked the game and would’ve kept playing however the costs were not upfront. It’s $2.99 per chapter. I wasn’t sure if it was this or 2.99 for the entire game. When I googled the cost of the entire game it said 2.99 so I invested. What the developers need to know is that I would have paid more for the entire game at one cost however not 2.99 per chapter nor the equivalent of it. That is outrageous. Super cute game however and would have loved to justified continuing to play. Nothing within TheOfficeQuest stated the cost at any time and I looked for it. This left a very bad taste in my mouth when it didn’t need to be. Either state the cost upfront or charge one amount for the entire game and let players decide. All of their five star reviews are from players before other chapters came out and they were just playing for free. This all makes a lot of sense now.

Fun at first but not sure it’s worth the price

I downloaded it free for the first chapter and enjoyed the little puzzles there. Saw that it had four chapters so when asked to pay $2.99 for second chapter I didn’t mind. Second chapter had some fun puzzles at first until about the second have when you have to do a memory puzzle. It reset and randomizes after 6 misses even though there’s a total of 8 matches so I was forced to make a chart just to pass it. The chapter ends soon after and I again had to pay another $2.99 for the next chapter. There are no bundles. No buy the full game for. Just $6 and 2 free levels (1 and 4). As of today I haven’t purchased that level because I feel a bit cheated as the first purchased level didn’t feel like it had enough content to warrant me paying again.

$2.99 a chapter for about 30 minutes of game play 😕

First, the game is quirky. The characters and style are fun and really the heart of the game. The puzzles are not exceptionally difficult which is fine because you want to see what is going to happen to the characters. Here is the problem, each chapter only takes about 30 minutes to complete and then you have to pay $2.99 for the next chapter. Now I got the game way back when it first came out. I enjoyed the free teaser chapter and paid $2.99 to get chapter 2 when it finally came out. That was a big leap of faith because it was MONTHS before chapter 2 finally arrived. To then play for 30 minutes and find that another $2.99 is required to play chapter 3 for likely only 30 minutes is just ridiculous and feels like a rip off.

Cute

This is a lovely game, back to puzzle basics. It’s episodic so you have to pay for each chapter, but then games of this caliber and hard work should not come for $0.99. That said, the chapters are short.

For the developers, the design for iPhone X in the latest chapter - the screen is cut off in mini games, seeing and using controls quite difficult. Given the home gesture area we have 1/3rd to of the buttons to use.

Oh, also, the hints. If you pay $2.99 per chapter recharge the hints for folks. I’ve not used any except accidentally, but I can see not have any after you just paying for a chapter nickel & diming.

Bait and switch tainted it for me

I’m editing my review from 3 to 1 star. I checked back in after many months because I was curious to see if other chapters were available (not just 2) only to see huge list of reviews with the same issue I had with this developer’s ethics and deceitful advertising. And still no new chapters. I’m frustrated that users are still being scammed. Probably because this game is recommended by Apple and also has a rating of 4.3. With the amount of bad reviews coming in, I’m not understanding this. Perhaps this is a study in social psychology and not a game.

Game is advertised as free but 5 minutes into it you are told to pay $2.99 to continue. So thinking that I've paid this much for games before, for hours of fun, I purchased.
And then I finished the game in 15 minutes to be told "to be continued". If the next chapter is another $2.99, the game ends here for me.
I can't support developers with misleading advertising...independent or not...when there are others out there of similar quality and are up front about the cost and/or charge less.
Gaming experience includes the purchase/user experience. Unfortunately my enjoyment of this game was spoiled by the feeling of being shafted.

Cute but needs more save points.

Cute story line, entertaining puzzles, sound effects, graphics, but if you play the way I do, to kill a few minutes here & there), you might be annoyed at the limited save points. Some of the puzzles are a bit time consuming to redo, & if you close the game suddenly because your train stop’s arrives, then you get sent quite far back. I feel no one should have to redo more than 15-30 seconds, but you might find yourself reliving the same 10 minutes over & over if you don’t make it passed the next checkpoint quickly enough.

Good

So I heard many responses about this game about how they have to restart and stuff but it obviously didn’t happen to me cuz they have chapter 4 out now and I thought you had to pay $2.99 only one time but then it asks you to pay again and I honestly don’t know how much more time they will ask you to pay but so far this game is great and I think it’s worth the purchase🤪

Good game, greedy devs

So I got the game thinking it was free, I beat chapter 1 in about 15 mins and I was hooked. Puzzle games always catch my interest so when a pop up in the game asked if I wanted to pay 2.99$ to continue chapter 2 I decided to go ahead and do it(I NEVER pay for iap this was a first for me). I beat that chapter in around 10 mins. The game updates are pretty much new chapters but here’s the kicker, even after paying 2.99$ in game for a new chapter the greedy devs try to get another 2.99$ from you in the latest update for another chapter! I was really into the game however and the last paid chapter was long and somewhat difficult. The latest one wasn’t, it was easy to solve and short. I will not be purchasing the next chapter for ANOTHER 2.99$

Let down

Wow talk about disappointment! It’s a brilliant game to play but how lame are the developers to draw you in, enjoy the game only to then throw a fee at you if you want to keep playing past chapter one which only last about 5-10 minutes if you can figure things out quickly. Save your time with downloading TheOfficeQuest because you will only be able to play one level for free. Look don’t advertise it as a free game if you are required to pay to keep playing. At least if you are going to be “free” set a time limit a user would have to wait before continuing on but making it seem as though this game is free, is lame and bs. I feel like this has to be a form of click-bate. You guys are whack as hell for doing that.

Seriously....

I don’t usually write reviews but, come on.... Anyways, I started out lovin’ the game, I mean, good graphics, puzzle/Complex Game, and I love those games, but unfortunately most of the times you have to pay, LIKE THIS GAME. I’m fine with paying 2-3 dollars FOR THE WHOLE GAME, but 2.99 for the second chapter only Come On! I would be willing to pay 0.99 to 1.99 dollars for 1 chapter, and then the same for the next chapter... and so on.
Honestly, I’ve paid 4.99 for a games and I’m willing to pay more, but ONLY iF the game is LONG, VERY FUN, either a simulator or a puzzle game. The only thing I’m asking is for 11Sheep Developer to reduce the price AND Then ONLY THEN will I buy the game....

Thanks!

Worth paying!

Seriously this is one of the games that sooo worth paying for! Just $2,99 compared to all the design, time and efforts the team put on? Definitely cheap! 4 chapters in total but several small crazy games (in good way) included, I totally in love ♥️. I saw lots of people complaining about the price, but to be honest, this's way so cheap for the game like this already; please consider their hard work for completing it. I had lots of fun playing this, and truly thankful to people who made it!!!!

$2.99 twice?!

I downloaded this game a few months ago. Had a lot of fun with it. Then you get to chapter 2. I believe it was $2.99 to continue. I thought it was a fun game so I paid the amount. Come to find out there was only 2 chapters. Well the new download came today! Two new chapters to play! Just completed the first new chapter. Then it ask if I wanted to pay an additional $2.99 to play the rest?! I already paid to play the remainder of the game! The game is fun and paying the $2.99 the first time wasn’t a big deal, but to double dip on the people that already paid to play the rest of the game is crappy. That’s why I gave it 2 stars.

Deceptive pricing

I downloaded the game about a week ago and quickly completed the free first few challenges. I found it fun so I purchased what I thought was the rest of the game for $3 to only find out that they had only completed half of chapter two... fine. Today I get an email saying the test of the chapter 2 and chapter 3 is out so I go back and play. After finishing chapter 2 they have the AUDACITY of requesting ANOTHER $3! Yeah right. It ridiculous to make a game with 3 short chapters cost $6. It was a fun game while it lasted, and I wanted to see how the story would turn out, but I won’t be returning unless the rest of the game is unlocked for free. I already payed $3! How about a no to deceiving your customers...

Fun app

Fun app. Good humor. devs have to eat too so 6 isn’t too bad though they may want to consider 6 is a typical price point for a whole game so going back to well again in the future would be harder

Question for devs: on the bird level, the game pad controls are a bit lagging or less responsive. On an iPhone 6s not in battery saver mode. The lagging makes the bird unresponsive. Can you take a look when releasing your next point release.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

This game was a huge let down, l was enjoying myself for about maybe 20 minutes in all as l try to solve the fun riddles however, l soon find out you have to pay for more chapters, $2.99 for about another 20 minutes of fun. And it’s an on going cycle! This game claims its free then tries to get you to pay $3 every 20 minutes which is outrageous especially for a game that advertises itself as free. Not to mention the game is constantly encouraging you to use hints and the only way to get hints is by watching an ad which brings in ad revenue therefore, allowing for them to make more money. It’s obvious the maker of this game is making millions off of unsuspecting citizens, ridiculous!

Great game but I thought you only had to pay once

I honestly enjoyed playing this game. It makes you think until you find out the solution. Overall, great game and concept. The only issue i have with this is the price. When I paid it said the next updates would be free, but after finishing chapter 2 it made me pay again for chapter 3. I would understand it if the game was longer but in reality it felt shorter than the first chapter. If you’re not gonna give free content and keep charging 3 dollars per chapter then count me out.
