Does NOT work during quarantine

I signed up for this after seeing an ad about how you can still achieve results while staying at home during the COVID pandemic. But this challenge does not work if you can’t attend actual classes and push yourself there. The rest of this thing— the detoxing, the diet, home workouts & stretches, etc. do not give you any benefits than simply being conscious of what you consume and getting some movement into your day. Of course, I’ve heard that men’s bodies respond differently, but for women this workout is a lot of hassle and sacrifice for nothing. Our bodies are designed to store fat, so without really being able to push ourselves at in person workout classes, this challenge delivers nothing whatsoever. AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY THE MEALS. THEY ARE EXPENSIVE AF, TASTE HORRIBLE, NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER, AND THEY DO NOT HELP WITH WEIGHT LOSS OR FAT BURNING. You don’t even need to buy from their ridiculously extensive shopping lists, if you’re preparing meals yourself. Just be food conscious: portion control, don’t eat sugary/fatty foods, don’t eat too late in the day, extra protein, etc. You don’t even have to cut out coffee or alcohol— just make sure you factor them into your daily caloric consumption.

Does not play well with others

F45 is a decent workout but there are three different apps, including the lionheart monitor app, and they do not work well together. I have gone through countless password reset loops because one app says to use the credentials of another and there is no tech support. The developers put very little effort into creating these apps. Additionally, they have lots of trackers on their website. I don’t know what they’re tracking but a cookie should suffice. One tracker I could understand but they have like 13. Blocking the trackers results in the inability to login to their site. The workouts are decent though.

Used to be great, now no reason to use

I travel all the time for work, and they had train from home videos that were fantastic!!! They allowed me to workout in the hotel gym, and now they have these junk videos that are only body weight.

On top of that you cant play music while the video is playing so you’ll just have to workout in total silence. No thanks. Please revert back to your old videos, even with that horrible AI generated music. Or change the functionality of the video to allow user to play their own music while the video runs.

Printing Function Now GONE on Recipe Library

No longer able to print any recipes with the latest redesign library or current weeks. Completely gone now. Both current and library under the “Eat” tab

Can still print out things under “Learn” tab so clearly this is a function that can be restored.

Previous comments.

The ability to print recipes appears to now not work via AirPrint on iPhone - it only shows a blank page in the preview
And prints a blank page. This is for recipes in the menu library, it appears to work OK still for the weeks current menus

This was working great for a while. Means we don’t have to touch our (dirty) phones while cooking food.

This application has problems

The old app never had any issues, they updated to a new app have had problems ever since. Calories incorrect, shopping list not loading up and now won’t let me log in. Deleted and reset 4 times, changed password. I can go on to a computer and log in just fine, my iPhone that’s the problem. Not having any problems with other apps on phone just the F45 challenge app.
Not a happy camper
Put in a work order ticket, will see what the response time will be

Unable to complete profile

I can’t even complete my profile. After I fill out my address, when I get to the screen that says “Profile Setup” I’m unable to see select any drop down preferences. I click on the drop down menu and it’s totally blank. And because I can’t select anything, F45Training won’t let me move forward. I’ve tried closing F45Training and shutting down my phone, but I’m still running into the same problem.

Billing section needs work

I have the most recent version of F45Training . Why doesn’t it show a more detailed membership section? I had a billing issue and F45Training doesn’t tell me when my payment period renews. I had to text the gym owner to sort it out since F45 has no customer service line or chat that I can find. When signing up as a new user, the section where I enter my payment into felt like the oldest and crappiest part of F45Training . Why is the part that nearly everybody HAS to use so outdated? One star.

Keep getting kicked out

This is a great app with lots of great information and tools. The recipes look fantastic but I can’t keep F45Training open for longer than a few seconds. I have to screen shot what I want to read then view in my photos. Worth the effort because the info is that good…just super annoying

Please fix At-Home workouts

Last year at-home workouts gave verbal cues and exercise explanations. There was also the not so awesome music. Now all the workouts (except recovery) are dead silent with only tones to start/stop. Please revert back to the previous model of at-home training. It was much easier to follow, easier to know what to do each day, and more motivating. If not I’ll have to cxl my membership and find something else.

Please Fix Connection Issues iPhone

When I signed up for F45, F45Training worked great. Now, not so much. although I am grateful that with the last update I can now see the “Classes” category, it does not track the number of classes accurately, which requires me to trust that the studio is. Tracking feature also is behind in terms of the current week. Other than booking classes, F45Training really is not really beneficial to me and I miss having access to all of the features. It helps supplement goal setting measurements.

Poor functionality

I had to signed up with a different email to match my studio account. Since then, the units appear in the metric system which is a pain because all weight is measured in pounds in my studio. This didn’t happen when I was signed in to my old account. I look and I couldn’t find a way to change the settings within F45Training . I tried costumer support but I had to sign in and the website doesn’t recognize my email or password. Changing units should be a basic function.

Updated but not necessarily for the better

Pros:
- Train: variety of workouts are now available through app—This is awesome!!
- Track: Stats ability to log
- Eat: Live portal to check off shopping list items (bigger con listed below)
- Learn: variety of interest articles/blogs

Cons:
- Track: With the new update all my stats were deleted :-( The Lionheart integration is a joke. Gives you an overall since day 1 stats and not each workout—the emailed graph is more useful at this point. There is no ability to track food calories or nutrition, you just check you followed meal plan.
- Eat: Before, there was the ability to print the meal plan for current week and the next week and we no longer have that ability. You must select each day and print the recipe—with a lot of leg work to do so. I like printing the weeks so I can be more realistic with ingredients and meals. Some of the meal plans are a bit unrealistic and definitely not utilizing the amount of ingredients you must purchase for the recipes.

I like F45Training and hope they are going to continue to update and integrate what is useful for the user. While they made some great changes they still have a lot more to improve upon!

Lots of typos in recipes

For the most part, I’m super positive about F45, the challenge, and the recipes in F45Training. However, there are quite a few mistakes. For example, the Thai Chicken meatballs call for carrots in the meatballs. At first I was like, well that’s not right, then I was thinking... well, maybe they’re a way to make a hearty meatball less calorie dense. So, I made my meatballs with hard chunks of carrots in them, and then noticed later in the recipe that it says to steam the carrots with the broccoli and cauliflower. It also says to add “kefir leaves” to the coconut cream, when kefir leaves aren’t in the ingredients, nor in the shopping list.

In the end it’s not the worst, but I wish they’d have someone proof read these recipes. They also need to adapt the recipes for an American audience... barramundi isn’t found here. And we don’t call bell peppers capsicum ;)

Okay App, could be better

Extremely slower than all other apps, including the normal F45 Training app. It crashes almost every time I use it. The tracking portions seem very limited and as far as the meal planning goes, I don’t think it’s entirely user friendly - I’d love to be able to switch the food measurement types.

Good but needs more functionality

F45Training is ok. Provides meal plan/recipes however during challenge it would be nice to be able to track your additional calories within F45Training . Having to use MyFitnessPal in conjunction with the challenge app is annoying and time consuming. Also a macro tracker would also be helpful. I think it would help more people be successful during challenges. Also in terms of recipes, it would be super helpful if a final portion size was given after everything is cooked. My husband and I cook in bulk since we are both doing the challenge together and we really are just guessing our portions. I cannot make each portion separately, it is not possible with a full personal schedule. Small changes and F45Training can become killer.

Keeping accountability during Covid

The latest version doesn’t allow you the option of chrome casting it to the tv and does not show the station clips. Other than that great app hopefully they bring these features back.

Has some flaws

still some issues. F45Training shows notifications but when you open F45Training there are no notations of notifications. Also, when updating personal info, you have to say you are a foot shorter than you are for F45Training to save the your correct height.

Ok, some enhancements would make it better

Great app for participating in the challenge. After the last update i am experiencing a lot of issues with F45Training reloading and kicking me out of the eating section when I am trying to meal prep or review the recipes. It is quite frustrating.
Also feel the tracking needs a lot of improvements to at least be able to track macros.
Overall the recipe library is helpful. Integration with shopping apps would also be nice to see.
Also would like to see more customization for personal goals.
Overall, a good app that meets some needs but needs some improvements to make it better.

App is great, but the photos are terrible

I love that F45Training is thought out so well, and is free. It’s nice to have such a detailed meal plan, and grocery lists. But I hate the photos they choose for the meals because they aren’t accurate. Today it’s showing a picture of 2 pieces of smoked salmon on some sour dough bread with cream cheese and parsley, but the recipe has no cheese whatsoever, or creamy anything, on 1 piece of gluten free bread, with mint and tomatoes. It does this all the time! The photo needs to represent what you’re eating!!! At the very least so I can glance at it and know what to get out of the fridge before I start cooking. It’s annoying...

App review

F45Training is organized well and provides a huge variety of resources to keep one motivated in their health. It is easy to navigate and provides options to workout at home, schedule your next workout class, log your nutrition and data and creates good visuals.

Great app

This is a great app if you are an “in studio” member or not. When I was doing the workouts in studio, I loved having access to hundreds of recipes which really helped me with fat loss and also having the workouts on the go if I was on vacation.
Currently, I don’t train in the studio (too far away), but being able to have all of the workouts to take with you anywhere is great. I also like that they have weighted and non-weighted versions of each workout.
My only major flaw about F45Training is the music they set with the workouts. F45, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put better/more relevant music to the videos. There are so many times that I don’t have half the motivation all because of the music.

New App-Missing one important piece

Have been very pleased with the new F45 app. Love that it’s a one stop shop and eliminates the use of multiple apps. I wasn’t able to give it a 5 star review because I believe it is missing one important piece. Member class total count. On the old F45 training booking app, members could see how many classes they have taken. With the new app they cannot. Hopefully this is something that is already in the works to create for a better overall experience.

Great app to access tasty, healthy meals

Great app overall because I can access current and past tasty, healthy meals designed by nutritionists; helpful when you want to lose weight and maintain and offers easy access to both meat and plant-based meals (even distinguishes between vegetarian and vegan). My only issues with F45Training involve the lack of effort to make F45Training more interactive beyond the search feature and toggling between different food preferences- for exp, I wish I could bookmark favorite recipes for later easy retrieval and rate recipes. I also wish F45 would add photos of the recipes rather than stock photos from the web

New App Launch

The new app has been really great. I love being able to book my classes, see my Lionheart stats, and my benchmark stats all in one place.

No bugs or issues I’ve encountered. Overall, I’d say they did a great job on updating F45Training.

Everything you need in one place

F45Training has improved a lot! Now everything you need for F45 is in one place. I can check in for classes, join challenges, track my lionheart reports (my personal fav), and even access workout videos from class so I can do them wherever I want!

Finally, all in one app!

F45Training is night and day from where it was a year ago. Loads more value and massively more stable. Class booking is rock solid and I like that I can see the workout category over other apps.

5 star app!

This has quickly become one of my favorite apps I use almost daily. I love the new features being added on regularly.

Huge Improvement / More Value

F45Training has been a lot easier to use, schedule classes, track progress and generally get more out of my F45 membership.

It has also provided additional education / information relative to my total health journey as well as a mechanism to community build through Lionheart challenges and other opportunities.

Updates to the exercises are great!

I live far away from the nearest F45 but F45Training keeps me going in the right direction of becoming stronger and healthier cardio-wise! The exercise updates and additions to the older routines are challenging and fun! Well worth subscribing to especially if you travel a lot or live far away from an F45. I miss my home F45 but F45Training is the next best way to keep in shape!

So great for at home workouts

During the summer, I’m way too lazy to go all the way to the gym, so I just set my stuff up, and do it at home. Honestly I love it so much and some of the recipes here are fire. I definitely suggest getting F45Training. I lost so much weight thanks to these workouts and recipes. Also, check out the banana bread recipe right now.

Great app, but …

Love F45Training , love the classes. But F45Training update has now taken out the ability to track your classes. Please put this back!! Why would you take this out? People like seeing how many classes they’ve gone through. I loved seeing my progress towards my 100-class goal. Please put this back.
