The lost data is disappointing but also not really a huge deal to me since I track month to month, and the update came right around the start of September - but I did want to warn others who may have more critical data saved. Also, while the new features look nice and I would have paid a reasonable one-time fee for them, the push to so many subscription models in software is resulting in hefty annual payouts when taken together. If it’s going to be the way going forward, Apple should offer bundles - $5 a year for X many apps, $10 a year for X many additional apps, etc. Otherwise it becomes unsustainable for the consumers. Nice app though. I might keep using it, but given the lost data I may just once again go through the whole process of researching which app seems best for the money from among all those that perform this function (a process I already went through which brought me to this app originally).

This app is it. IT. No ifs, ands or buts, just IT. Immaculate UI, convenient Cloud integration, iOS + iPadOS + watchOS + even *visionOS* functionality, just the right amount of customization without being overwhelming, FANTASTIC dev who is responsive and reliable and gives a ship about our experience. Sure, the UX could use a nudge in the right direction and there’s no macOS app [*cough **cough * Lukas we want a macOS app *cough *] but honestly WHO CARES, because trust me if it doesn’t have it yet, it’s coming. So why are you still reading this?
Here’s the permission you’re looking for, the justification you are seeking, the reason to trade a deduction of that number representing your net worth for premium access past the free trial.
TLDR; Just pay for it, ok. Worth it.

This app is simple to learn and has features that help make time tracking less friction-full for whatever your needs and style are. For example, you can put in the details of what you are going to do during a timeline, or you can simply start the timeline and put in the details when you stop it. You can have many timelines are just a few. You will be able to analyze time spent by timeline category or by the activities you do during the running of any of a set of timelines. In other words, you can collect your data with as much specificity and forethought or as much flexibility as you like, and you can slice and dice the data you've collected to get a feel for how you're spending your life in a number of ways after - yet the app remains simple to use. It is attractive as well, with a clean and colorful aesthetic. Finally, it works with iOS's dynamic island and focus filters, which makes it super practical to use. The watch, iPhone, and iPad data sync seamlessly in the iCloud so far for me. I think it is easily worth the subscription price for the pro features, and I use it every day.
