Won’t pair

micro won’t pair

Crashes

Crashes every minute
I have too do a school project on this piece of junk and now I can’t because it crashes too much

Does not work

Does not work

Terrible app

You need to leave

Not working

First of all, who ever came up with drawing pattern has done a bad job, should have been simply press this button one or so many times to pair the device.

Secondly micro is not allowing me to draw that pattern, the button press is not turning the pattern off abs whole line is showing. After multiple resets, I was able to pair the device only for it to fail when I tried to use monitor functionality. Horrible experience overall, failed to connect.

Doesn't work

Using iOS 10 on iPad Pro, click 'send us your feedback' crashes app. Also cannot pair microbit. I tried copying .hex using pxt editor with and without bluetooth package, also with older blocks editor. Clicking a + b and reset, release reset doesn't initiate pairing.

Horrible App

I just got this as a present and I was shocked at how bad this was. I spent hours coding one project only to find that every time I try to download it to my this app:bit the entire app crashes .

You've got to be kidding me

I read the first reviewer and thought it can't be that bad. Well it's worse. Nothing works...

Update Broke it

App worked fine until the last update and now it won’t pair anymore to the existing microbits or a new one. Fix micro and stop breaking it.

Wrong expectations or bad app

This works but I discovered that you will have to reconnect to the microbit each time you flash it with your new program. After the microbit is flashed the Bluetooth connection is lost. If this issue could be corrected or improved I would give micro 5 stars

Works Great But Read Instructions Carefully

Connectivity can be pretty complicated. When I got mine, I had to go download a new hex file with Bluetooth pairing enabled before I could do any pairing. Once that was done the pairing works great.

And micro has great tutorials that I can easily download. I’m impressed.

pairing problem resolved; fun

I was entering the wrong code for pairing, dang it.
Using the this app-bit with bluetooth is cool, but clunky. This is a great app, especially for this low, low price.
Here's what I mean by clunky. First you write your programs on a web page, then save the hex file, then visit micro to flash the code to the this app:bit. Every time you flash program code, you have to reconnect, which requires the pairing code to be re-entered.
I hope a future update will keep the bluetooth connection alive at least until I exit micro . Also on my wishlist is an app that combines programming and flashing the this app:bit into an IDE (Integrated Development Environment.)

Bro

Okay, once I opened micro up, I clicked create, the tried to log on to my account. I was using my google account. It said that Microsoft does not comply with googles “User secure browser” policy. (It for real had those symbols) it also didn’t bring me to the select google account screen. So idk why I can’t login to my account at all on my phone, but just fix this pls. I was okay with my computer signing up and logging in, so, idk.

It Works

It works!

Perfect! Given the limitations of the hardware ... Perfect!

Nice job! Well thought out. I’d just echo another reviewers comment from March about the directions for connectivity procedure could be tweaked - last step - hold down A and B buttons until 5x5 LED screen ...
Oh, and for those who criticized micro for needing to repeat process of BLE connectivity ... not the software developers issue. Ten minutes of internet research on hardware website would help you understand this. FAQ! FAQ! Minor inconvenience given the utility of micro and hardware. Engineering any product or idea always results in compromises. Understand this and you’ll have more reasonable expectations. Deep thought or common sense? Hmmmm

Awesome!

Never had any problems love it

Works like a charm!

I would recommend clarifying the instructions for Bluetooth pairing. I had trouble figuring out that the “press and release the reset button” step really means “press and hold the reset button for one full second, then release”.

Awesome App

I would like to say micro is well designed and offers a lot of functionality. My only critique and it it a small one but I would like to see an offline version for iOS. I teach in rural environments and sometimes internet is not available. Otherwise micro is great and feature rich.

Bruv our computers teacher made us download micro and now I am terrible at fortnights. I could barely aim now because of this stupid app bruv. The microbit doesn’t even have a screen bruv it’s sooooo useless. Bruv this is actually cringe bruv. Also bruv, after connecting my microbit to my phone bruv it exploded on my and gave me 3rd degreee burns bruv. I will be hearing from my lawyers bruv.

I’m Loving it

micro is AWESOME why does it have so many 1 stars it deserves lots of 5 stars I love micro and coding

Features

Monitor is ideal for exploiting Bluetooth services in real time, and for de-bugging your program code while it is running in the micro:bit.

Easy-to-follow screens lead you through the process of pairing your iPad (or iPhone) to the micro:bit and then transferring your program code.

The app allows you to flash any micro:bit hex file to your device, as well as including online access to the Microsoft MakeCode editor for simple block-based programming.

This lets you observe real-time data from the micro:bit sensors, send messages directly to the LEDs and control the micro:bit buttons and pins from your iPad or iPhone.

When your program is ready, the app beams it to the micro:bit via Bluetooth wirelessly.
