Shady

The original version of aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker is on Apps Gone Free today, but it's no longer supported and it suggested that I use this newer app instead. It is not free today, and the limited trial version I'm able to use for free has fewer features than the "free" app advertised today had. Bait and switch and the 2 stars is only because it looks like it would be a reasonably decent app if I had money lying around for apps that do the same thing as dozens of free apps do. I appreciate the options to adjust sensitivity of location tracking like "major changes only".

I really want to give this five stars

But unfortunately I can’t. For what it is, it’s a great app and the developer has done a good job building on top of what he already created with the last two versions of aTimeLogger. However, with this being the third iteration, I was shocked to see custom icons removed in favor of a small handful of multi colored 3D icons which require a regular paid subscription to obtain. Bring back the free custom icons and this review would become a five star review.

Does what it says

If you record time on your watch away from the phone you have to start timing again when you’re in reach of your phone to push all data from the watch to the phone. It’s annoying but aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker does what it’s supposed to and I’m enjoying using it for the data it provides.

Dope time tracker

This is a great app and had lots of great features...i been using it more. It's been s challenge to remember to stop tracking. If they're were a couple of other features it would be sick. Like if they're was an option to set a ding or some kind of noise or notification to go off with the option to set how long the time interval between the notification happens so that it may be five minutes or 10 minutes would make a noise or let me know that it’s still checking so if I forget, I can turn it off or add Siri shortcut and Siri functions like goals being able to be accessed through Siri. Like hey Siri keys go to my work out goal etc. And/or automation like triggers so when it connects to certain wifi it starts tracking or arriving at certain location auto triggers start of tracking. Sharable group tracking like if someone in the group logs into a project it starts tracking and shares that tracking with the group so people can see who and when others are working on a shared project. Also just some extras like a simple counter for adding reps while at the gym so only need one app to log time and keep track of workout reps. I think it would take aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker to the next level and offer the paid subscription a little more value. Just sharing my ideas i think your app is great

Would be perfect if events can be converted into entries.

I have been using aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker for quite some time. Many details such as “day start at” and custom field makes aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker a great tool for time tracking. I upgraded to premium short after started using it because to unlock the calendar feature. However, I soon found it a bit disappointing that you can only use the “event” to view them. I recently started looking for other apps that allows you to convert calendar schedule into entries. While most of the other apps don’t have as much useful custom features as this one, I really hope in future versions this conversion would become possible. I mean, it’s already possible to set task type for events, why not make full use of it so that aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker can really be combined with calendar well?

Well worth it

I’ve used aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker for years. I can sometimes have multiple timesheets I need to fill in for work, and it’s so much easier with aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker, especially when I switch back and forth between several projects in a day! I sometimes forget to stop one clock and start another, but it’s easy to go back and adjust times, fix activity types, or add comments. I would much rather correct this a hour later and then rely on the clocked times at the end of the day than try to figure it all out from memory. I also use this to export detailed reports of time spent on training for certification continuing education credits. I usually take self-paced courses over the span of weeks. At first, I didn’t expect to have to provide a report on time spent per day, and there would have been no way I could have remembered all that, but I didn’t have to!

SO many features..

This is truly an awesome app. It has so many features, in my opinion it’s totally worth the price (I paid for 6 months of premium, great selection of purchasing options too).
I used aTimeLogger for a long time and it was one of the most intuitive time tracking apps I’ve used. (I easily synced my previous records)
This improved one has everything I wanted aTimeLogger to have, like the ability to customize the size of icons in the widget, havin the time tracked into pomodoro sections, and more goals options.
I love when I find an app that does multiple things and declutters my life from having to use many apps.

A+++

Does what nobody else can, exports csv via email, auto starts/stops based on geofence, POMODORO is amazing, custom tags and unlimited custom report templates make it so easy to consistently deliver time entry records to various parties while precisely including and excluding exactly what they should/should not see based on tags, task type, task type group and on easy to define time spans — could not ask for more!! Have used this and it’s former non-cloud sync’d version since around 2014 and have yet to find anything remotely comparable in terms of usefulness, reliability and flexibility.

Honestly very good

Time (several years now) has proven this is stellar time tracking app for me. Many, many helpful features for a very reasonable price. Actively updated from a devoted person (so it seems) not a business plan guided company.

It takes discipline to get in the habit of tracking time, even with aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker. But aTimeTracker makes it far easier than any app I’ve looked into. I honestly doubt you will be disappointed.

Outstanding multi function App

The best in aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker Store. I use many time trackers to manage my business. As a book publisher I deal with many projects. aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker not only keep time of each task, but also allow to use tags and comments. A connection with the Calendar is a plus. Flawless sync with Mac an all OS devices, including Watch. Good export PDF records. Finally responsive developer. Ideally will be to have a sync option to iCloud or Dropbox. In any case, highly recommended.

Hands down best time tracking platform

For me, aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker has the absolute best set of time tracking features, cross-platform support, and flexibility of any time tracking app I've seen. All of that, coupled with an excellent Watch app (minor ding for not supporting latest watch faces). Frankly, I can't see why the other heavy (Toggl) gets all of the positive press, TimeTrack is significantly more feature rich, on top of being rock solid stable. Perhaps a lack of extensive Shortcuts support?

Excellent

Works great and easy to use, excellent functionality for time tracking and time or occurrence related goals. The free app was very good, and when I wanted more goal tracking I upgraded. I am very happy and satisfied with aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker.
One recent problem: with latest update not possible to track two time categories at once. That’s a major problem for me! So I have to do more manual backtracking to record certain things.

Game Changer & Lifesaver!

I’ve used aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker, and the previous version, for nearly a decade for both work and personal matters. Having the ability to quickly recall an event, transaction, or project is worth its weight in gold…

- Keeping track of work & house project hours
- How long until I (or my kids) need to take another dose of medication (Setting a time limit with GOALS feature to show as Overtime)
- (When they were younger) How long my kids had been down for a nap
- Filtering the “logbook” also offers users a detailed logbook of item

…and the list continues to evolve.

Speaking of evolution, the technical support is also top-notch. Within two weeks of upgrading to the Pro version I noticed a detail of the GOALS feature had changed from the previous version. I simply reached out within aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker and the developer replied that same day with ZERO pushback (rather he appreciated the feedback)… AND aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker was updated in less than two weeks!

Everything I need

It is a simple but effective app and give me everything I need for a time tracker. Various icons for different activities, csv report export, customer defined activities and so on. I like goal management particularly since it ll encourage me to finish my plans with visual presentation of how much I have done and how close I am to my goals. You can also set the goals with all kinds of time period. Very practical!

very helpful for increasing awareness

The goal setting feature is a great way to articulate your values, and tracking helps you see where you're living in and out of alignment with those values. Sometimes I forget to track - it might be nice to have a nudge from aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker if I go too long without making an entry.

App keeps getting better!

I've been using aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker for more than five years now. It keeps improving bit by bit over time. I really like the desktop app and Apple Watch sync; it's super useful, even though stopping a task on the desktop app sometimes doesn't sync to the watch.

Excellent Time Logger

aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker works very well for a very broad range of uses that you may have for it. The developer is along very responsive to any issues that may occur as well as any suggestions for additional features that you may have to make the experience more efficient.

Absolutely love it. Only gets better and better.

This is one of the few apps that I’ve used for years and years. The developer adds more and more great features, and now I can’t live without it. The developer is also super responsive. I give this my highest app recommendation.

Favorite for teams and data

I’m a data analyst and I’ve tried a handful of solutions to track hours and productivity. I love the flexibility of this one to create categories and groups across multiple users and to use other templates. The developers are always very helpful as well.

Great app for productivity!

aTimeLoggerDailyTimeTracker is nothing short of amazing!! It allows me not only track my activity times but also set goals and reach them using in app pomodoro timer which you can fine tune to suit your needs. Would recommend to everyone
