Used EverAccountable for a couple years, but it was always buggy despite software updates, reinstalling, etc. It does keep you accountable, but the user experience was frustrating.

To answer the developer’s question: Yes, I have tried EverAccountable recently (last month), and it was still giving me issues. For example, when I would type something in the search bar and enter (i.e. If I wanted to Google something), it would load and then suddenly stop).

What was the point in the most rceent update of creating a completely pointless, skippable splash screen that has huge-text words that tell anyone looking over my shoulder that I have a personal problem? I don’t WANT people I know to know I use EverAccountable, OBVIOUSLY! So turn off this ridiculous, nonsensical splash screen and let me set a homepage that isn’t the account dashboard?

Has your team even once considered the fact that people don’t want friends and strangers knowing they use this browser? Stop forcing multiple steps, including the ACTUAL unskippable logo splash screen, to constantly show everyone around me I have an issue.

I cannot comfortably browse the internet now in public or around friends, because of how persistent EverAccountable is at showing everybody nearby that I have a gross and very VERY personal problem.

The concept of this is great, but the VPN seems to be constantly down nearly esp mornings during the times I need my devices for internet connection. Removing device management is the only way to disconnect from the VPN in those times, but doesn’t even notify the accountability partner until a week later. The process of removing, then later having to reconnect all over again, is complicated and so I end up just not using.
I regret how much I paid for this and wish I could get my money back.

I there are social media sites showing up in between my browsing history. I dont have social media and she keeps accusing me of talking to people be hind her back. I do not ever get complaints from her about porn or explicit sites.

There really needs to be a away of foxing that pr at the very minimum giving the accountability partner a way to click on the activity to go straight to the site I am being accused of visiting. Especially for sites that are not porn and you have a spouse that picks everything you do apart.

When EverAccountable is working, it’s pretty great. After seeing many reviews, it seems like the random disconnections is just a general issue with the VPN and this needs to get fixed asap. It happens literally every single day, when it happens, my car play freezes, the internet doesn’t work and 8/10 time, I have to restart my phone. And it doesn’t even have to do with low internet signal because it mainly happens when I’m with full 5G bars. It’s beyond frustrating, it always happens in the most inconvenient situations too. I’ve been hesitant for MONTHS to write a bad review on an app that has truly helped me through my recovery but it just doesn’t make sense why this keeps happening every single day and it gets to a point where it’s beyond frustrating and tiring. I shouldn’t have to keep turning my phone off and back on every single day so that the VPN can work again and not freeze up my whole phone.

I really wanted to love EverAccountable. Unfortunately it did not work as advertised. I had several issues starting with the fact that the user can edit their own settings from the dashboard. The user uninstalled EverAccountable and I never got an email or text about it. The VPN doesn’t work with Safari and when I emailed customer support about it, they said it says it’s on and working. Nothing on the accountability report came from iOS, meaning the VPN was not working correctly. I emailed again that I didn’t see anything on the report and no one ever got back to me. I also would like to see passcode protection for the settings, an option for more frequent reports, and better customer support. There are too many loop holes and not enough support.

I started using EverAccountable 6 months ago. It is better than its predecessor, but still struggles. The biggest issue I have is that every time I open it, it takes minutes before it loads and is navigable. I’ve tried with and without VPN connection and it’s the same both ways. I’m considering switching to another app monitoring browser because there has to be something better out there.

My accountability partner and I keep getting emails every single week that my phone is disconnected from this app. We have tried every single trick that they walked us through and we keep getting them. So every single week i have to contact this app and then prove to my accountability partner that i didnt do it. Not sure if this is just me or not but its very annoying. Looking for other platforms that are more reliable. Not worth the money for the stress

this app has helped my accountability partner and I start great conversations, and add a layer of digital accountability in our lives. Unfortunately that accountability regularly comes through the means of not having any access to the internet, AT ALL, for hour or hours on end because the proprietary VPN is loop-stuck on reconnecting. The idea behind this is great, the implantation is far from stable. I’m literally having trouble uploading this review RIGHT now because I can’t connect to my home Wifi or cellular connection

It does what it’s supposed to, that’s for sure. I just dislike how it just doesn’t work with some things. I tried to play league of legends on my phone and their server says their cloud security detects something malicious and won’t let me connect to their servers. OpenAI/ChatGPT won’t work either on my device. Things like this is a bit ridiculous. I might switch to something else.

Update: I would like to update my previous review from one to three stars. I appreciate the sincere response from the developers. I do apologize for calling EverAccountable garbage. That was simply an expression of frustration with the errors in function of EverAccountable , and probably too much of an exaggeration. Thankfully from previous setup EverAccountable does function as far as the reporting activity feature goes. My previous criticisms, regarding the unusable app, still hold true, but I’m hopeful they’ll be fixed. I’ve also experienced issues with using a VPN while EverAccountable is active. However, this seems to be resolved as of right now. I guess I’m just looking forward to a more stable experience and a fully functional, as stated, app. I appreciate the offer of a refund however that is not needed.

EverAccountable is quite literally, garbage. It never stays logged in, constantly requesting for one to finish the last step of setup. After completing the “last step” multiple times, it still cannot recognize the setup completion, rendering EverAccountable useless. However, the developers are still happy to collect the monthly use fee for a service that is incomplete. Perhaps it’s the Apple device, however, if so, state in your description that you are happy to charge Apple users but your product will not work on their devices.

Overall EverAccountable works pretty decent, however one bug I have found is that if you want to unblock or block an app, it’s impossible to make that happen. When you select unblock/block app it takes you into checking the safari extension and then never lets you go any further. I have zero ways to unblock/block an app. May consider using another service again. As this is quite annoying.

I wanted EverAccountable to work and it does, intermittently. The random disconnects on devices and faulty reporting with false flags makes it very difficult app to use with your accountability partners. But perhaps the biggest annoyance was trying to remove EverAccountable from iPad OS devices after canceling the subscription. It is convoluted and downright would not work, could not remove until I had tinkered for quite a while, and I work in IT! I wish the team the best, and you, but I personally wouldn’t waste time on EverAccountable again.

Would be the best app if there was just a login for partners. It keeps taking me to sign up. Then it keeps kicking me out then stalls. It’s been doing this for MONTHS and I’ve reported it FOR MONTHS and it’s still not fixed. I’m looking for another app because if I’m paying every month for this it should work the way it is intended. 10$ a month is a lot when it doesn’t work right. For the longest it reported under the. Wrong day and time. Which doesn’t help me or the person being monitored. It locks me out everyday and I have to delete and reinstall just for it to keep signing me up and then kicking me out! Frustrated!!!!! Was great before all the issues!

I could not get EverAccountable to open as I needed to remove several unused apps from my phone. I tried reaching out to support but no luck in getting back to me. I had to completely reset my iPhone and reinstall all my apps.

EverAccountable has been fantastic and has greatly improved my life. The VPN works well for me. Speeds are a tad slower but still fast enough for videos. iOS limits what EverAccountable can monitor. The VPN will record the site domain, but not the content (ie looking at inappropriate thumbnails on Google)…I wish the report would flag browsing done outside EverAccountable , so as addicts we have to answer why we were browsing using another app.

This is a great app and the idea of using a VPN (when it works properly) is great! However, you should be able to use EverAccountable along with the iPhones build in content/app age restrictions. When EverAccountable setting are set to 12+ you are unable to us EverAccountable . EA should definitely not be set at 17+. It should be available to all age group. Please lower the age restrictions!

Both my Husband and I were into porn before we were married, after getting married we realized the importance to have our lives rid of it. Ever Accountable has helped us to achieve and continue to be porn free in our lives. Our relationship and love for each other has grown so incredibly much. We will forever continue to use it on ALL of our Devices!!!

I was hesitant about how EverAccountable and others like it are now forced to use a VPN to monitor your browsing history because some reviewers said the VPN was causing issues. So far I haven’t noticed any issues. The speed is practically just as fast (went down from 38 to 32 bps in the test I did). Time will tell if I experience the VPN drops other users have mentioned but so far I’m not noticing anything. Worth every penny protecting your soul, marriage, and family.

I have no qualms with this app for the most part, but there’s just one issue. Every time I log into EverAccountable , my phone is registered as a new device, so now I have multiple devices registered and all of them are exactly the same.
