You’ve erased all of my progress with this new update, and I am devastated. My high scores and every ball I’ve spent hours trying to get are all GONE. What were you thinking?!

Look, I understand that an old game needs a facelift every once in a while, but you can’t completely change the game mechanics. You are going to lose more players than you are going to gain. This was a bad move.

The developers clearly don’t care about their fanbase. This update has ruined everything, and there is no reason for me to continue playing this game. Unbelievable.

this app has been a simple, fun, and nearly perfect time waster for years. I have been meticulously playing a single game for over a year and had a high score of almost 1000. It was the best app that I could always come back to whenever I was bored. In a single update, 111% has completely destroyed everything that made it fun. The simplicity of the UI and gameplay was fine. The repetitiveness and lack of fancy gimmicks was fine! It was all perfectly fine! Now it’s flashy and cluttered and just like every other game on BBTAN Store. After years of unlocking balls and getting achievements, all of my progress is erased overnight. It feels almost like losing a good friend without ever having the chance to say goodbye.

This is incredibly disappointing. Not a fan

The new update ruins the game.

First, I’m seeing adds even though I had paid to not see them on the old version of BBTAN . Second, they changed how the controls for throwing the ball works and it feels awful. Third, the game no longer has a pause screen or home page that I can find. What happened to all the other balls I liked using?

this app was one of the few games on BBTAN store that I liked for it’s simplicity. Now it’s just more mobile game garbage. Worst of all, the old version of the game is now gone forever. I can’t play the game I like anymore.

I used to really enjoy this game, and I had unlocked all the collectible balls. They recently completely revamped it and I just don’t like the game play anymore. They added hearts which I don’t enjoy because I use to endlessly play this game when I was bored. The new game board is more narrow, and they gave the bricks special abilities such as splitting in two or destroying your balls. I dislike this game and will be deleting it.

111%, if you change bb tan 7 years like you changed this game, I’ll be deleting that too. That is one of my all time favorite games and I hope you keep it the same.

This game used to be a fun mindless game that you could have in the background at any time. Now you can't open BBTAN without 3 ads being thrown in your face at a time.

They scrapped the old style of the game to bring out brighter colors and threw away any progress people had made before the update. It's now level based and has the candy crush style hearts where you only have 5 lives until you can't play anymore or you have to buy hearts.

I am not spending money on a game I used to mindlessly play during a long car ride, which I no longer can without waiting half an hour between each level.

i have played this game on and off for the better half of the last five years, and had been extremely satisfied with the state the game had been in up until this latest update. I had amassed quite the collection of balls, with this new update all my progress vanished unbeknownst to me. After seeing that the update had also implemented the addictive and predatory tactics of many inferior mobile apps, like the “lives” and “pass” I had no option but to immediately delete BBTAN and come here to write this review. When i realized the icon had changes and there had been an update i was immediately taken by surprise as BBTAN was usually not updated very often. I personally prefer the more blocky look and the looooong turns where balls would bounce almost infinitely lol. the new speed up animation is intrusive and breaks the immersion of the game. i’m glad i’m not the only one that shared this negative view on this update and i truly hope that the developers reconsider the decisions made in this update as i genuinely look forward to playing the original this app again,

this app was the game that everyone loved for years. So simple. So perfect. Absolutely timeless. But whatever the reason for the complete remask of the game, everything went to the toilet.

It’s not that we’re upset over losing nostalgia and the iconic feel of the game (though partly). The game is completely different. It’s not like a reskin but the same game. It’s a whole new thing.

But not only are they completely different and new, they make no sense. The mechanics are so dumb, the changes were completely useless, and everything is gone. I’ve had this game for honestly better part of a decade, and have had to delete it, even after pushing through maybe 10 games to maintain it.

Why?

I’ve been playing this game for a few years now. It was my favorite game up until you made this last update “to fix minor bugs”. I I do like some of the improvements but you changed the endless play which has ruined it for me.

First, you took away all of my progress, were I was up to 365 I think. I had work very hard to get there and in one update it was all gone. I was very disappointed but thought that maybe it would be alright. I could achieve it again. That’s not going to happen.

Well I was terribly disappointed to find out that not only had I lost my progress but the ball and projectile collection I had earned including the * legendary *. I feel like that was a blow because I had to play that ridiculous button/ball game to get them.

Finally I don’t like the way it seems to speed up the balls when you are on a higher level and might be making progress You really can’t see what they are doing or why they are doing it. Along with that that there seems to be a layer missing.

In the end I am very saddened to be writing this review. I really did enjoy playing it before . Now I don’t like it at all. I could have gotten to like the alternate game if you hadn’t taken the old continuous game away. Now I am deleting you.

Many of my points have been addressed in other reviews, but here’s the kicker. In the old game I bought the super small ball (whatever the smallest one is called) and clicking restore purchases on here doesn’t give me that back! What a ripoff! Plus, the lock and key blocks don’t work. Every once in a while, a key will disappear without unlocking the lock block. Then I HAVE to use a power up to get rid of it. That on top of the aim controls being bad, the art style being boring, and losing all of my previously unlocked things. The only good change was the return ball and fast-forward button. I hadn’t updated BBTAN in years, but BBTAN got deleted by someone else cleaning up my phone. Such a disappointment.

This was a great game that I used to play all the time, (and have played for almost a decade??) but with the update it’s an entirely new game without all of the features I loved! I can’t use the tiny ball that is my favorite, my score is gone, and it now seems to speed up the balls, when half the fun was watching the balls just bounce around endlessly (or being able to take a break and other things while they bounced) slowly destroying bricks. It was so soothing to watch, and satisfying to clear a board and watch the numbers go up, but that doesn’t work the same anymore either. They should have just made a new feature game or new app instead of replacing the old one. This wasn’t an update, its a replacement

Probably been playing this game off and on since 2015. Basically had all the balls unlocked from the vending machine (which have all been taken away now) this game has been completely changed from how it used to be. Everything long time players worked towards has been reset with no form of compensation. Instead of releasing bbtan3 in this format they decided to completely overhaul an incredible game that used to be set apart from all the life required, time cooldown, pay to play, brick breaking games like this. The new logo had me kinda hype and I wanted to see what got added but instead I see the whole game changed. I am so disappointed to see what happened.

BB-TAN used to be a simple but fun brick-breaking game. If Swipe Brick Breaker was Space Invaders, then BB-TAN was Galaga — undoubtedly inspired by a competing game but with substantial gameplay improvements that helped the game make its mark on the genre. It’s been a game I’ve been happy to come back to every so often for the last half-decade. Sure, it had ads, but that’s okay, because the game was free.
All of that was ruined with the recent major update. BB-TAN is now a third-rate Candy Crush knockoff, predatory monetization scheme and all. Now you have to spend a “life” to play a round of what used to be a completely free game.
My advice to the developers is to roll back to the last version before this update and pretend the update never happened. Sadly, I don’t see that happening. Like so many iOS developers, 111% saw the dollar signs and went to the dark side. DELETED!

I liked the last version. It was better because there was no stop and play. I hate the new one because there’s so many stops and play and I have to hit so many buttons to get to play. I do like the new one for only one reason and that is all the balls go fast when it’s going to take a long time and once all the boxes are gone, the game stops, if that was the only change you made the latest version it would be perfect. Please revert back or have two separate versions

I’m was amazed when I saw the new app icon for this app. I’ve been playing this game since 2015ish and loved it. But after opening the game I was filled with disappointment.
I open it to see a chest icon that you “level up” and a completely different art style. Why in the world would you change the iconic art style. The blocks now look like they come from the average brain rot mobile game. It feels like the soul of this game got thrown to the curb for a cash grab. The aim control feels like trash as well.
That is not to say that there isn’t quality of life improvements such as a automatic ball return when you break all the blocks on screen, and a fast forward. But unfortunately the good does not surpass the bad.
I was so close to unlocking all the different balls you can unlock from the vending machine in the previous version. And now all of that is gone as far as I can tell. Bummer this was one game I had on all my phones since I found out about this app.

The recent game update has made it so that when you open your game, the icon to get the aiming line is now gone until you make your first move. This wasn’t the case previously so gonna make sure you leave off at a spot where you won’t need the aiming like right at opening as it doesn’t pop up.

I’ve been playing this game for going on 8 years and it was perfect. Great game to waste time on go for high score while still playing the same game for literal months at time. But now y’all finally decided to update and it turned into a completely different game that I never wanted. The old game was so much better and I’m sad to say that after playing this long I have to delete the game. Was a fun ride this app. Been with me through multiple deployments and was always there for me. Rest in peace buddy see you in another life hopefully

At one point a small magnet appeared at the bottom of the game, which allowed a player to opt to and the hanging balls in order to save time. The magnet option should be offered at all times to allow the player to make more decisions. Also, I love the small circles with – lines that allows you to destroy many blocks with a laser, however it would be another great function if the laser would also select, or count an additional ball or $as well

Hello. I really love this game and I've been playing it for years. Recently the ad button to use the guide for 10 minutes hasn't been working very well. When I press it, it often does nothing. I'd love to play it more often but this prevents me from doing so because I don't want to lose any progress from playing the later levels without the guide. Hope this gets noticed and fixed soon. Thank you!

I have played this game since my now 10 year old was just a baby/toddler and I always come back to it but what happened to cc tan? There used to a whole line on ** tan games and now this is the only one. I think I may have liked cc tan even better than this one and I thought at first it just wasn’t available for iphone but I also can’t find it in the play store anymore on my chromebook. Pretty disappointing!

Everyone loved the original look and feel of this app! The new update has a completely different dynamic to the game, the mechanics are completely different. It was like a classic iOS game! The classic look and feel were what made this game so fun to play, and so nostalgic to play as well! I know many players, myself included, were really good at the original game mechanics. This new update is like learning an entirely new game. There’s no way for us to get the this app back that we loved!

Please consider re rolling the update! If you must, release this update as a separate app entirely.

I’ve loved this game for years, and hope to be able to play the game I remember again.
