Starting to believe these ratings and positive reviews are paid. Wanted to use other audiobook apps other than audible but when I tried the free credit, it had difficulty even downloading an audiobook. I had so many problems like the download stopping at 33%, going over 100%, etc. My phone has more than enough storage, I restarted the phone, reinstalled LibrofmAudiobooks and nothing works. If i’m having problems this early on, I’m sure I’ll have more problems in the future. I guess I’m on the hunt for a different audiobook app.

Love the mission and I’ll continue using LibrofmAudiobooks just to support local bookstores alone. However, LibrofmAudiobooks doesn’t offer much functionality for searching or accessing your account, and often leaves me confused. The FAQ instructions say you can pick a specific bookstore to support ‘at anytime by going to your account’ but I still cannot figure out how to do that from ‘my account’ on LibrofmAudiobooks . It might only be an option from a computer, but either way the instructions are not clear, not helpful, and frustrating. The search function also needs to be improved. I cannot seem to search within LibrofmAudiobooks for available books, regardless of if you can purchase through LibrofmAudiobooks . For example, even just a search of ‘p’ returns zero results with LibrofmAudiobooks , which I find hard to believe is accurate (do no you have no authors with a name starting with P? No titles starting with P?). This makes it a lot harder to recommend and actually get other people to switch over, who might not be as altruistic.

I’m all for supporting local indies, so this is my preferred audiobook app. But it’s also the most frustrating.

To wit, it will randomly backtrack to earlier in the book between listening sessions. This doesn’t always happen, but just often enough to be maddening. Sometimes the jump is hours long, and it’s difficult to find my way back to where I actually was in the narration.

Though random, it’s most likely to happen in one of two circumstances: after a long break, say overnight, or when I switch the way I listen such as from earbuds to CarPlay.

Having to spend time figuring out which track I was on, and where, is hard enough when I’m home, but impossible when I’m driving. It’s very frustrating when I have a long drive but can’t continue where I left off because LibrofmAudiobooks randomly decided to backtrack a couple of hours in the story.

I’ve had a good experience so far with customer service (I bought a book in Spanish by accident and they refunded me) and for the usability of LibrofmAudiobooks . Except for one big issue, that unfortunately will be a game changer if I can’t get it fixed- LibrofmAudiobooks stops playing when my phone screen turns off. If I can’t listen without constantly have to turn my screen back on, I will have to get rid of the service. It’s hard to relax and listen when it’s cutting off every 3 minutes.

By the time this book downloads, humans will have invented the cold storage I would have needed to stay alive long enough to read it. Half an hour and we’ve made it to 6% downloaded. Moreover, I don’t even need the whole book- just the last third. There was a hold in l library me after me with the library audiobook app and I can’t wait 4 weeks to read the ending! A feature (such as Overdrive has) where you can download individual parts of the book (files) would have been doubly handy in this case.

I love supporting local bookstores, and I like LibrofmAudiobooks better than Audible’s. However, I have trouble scrubbing forward or back. The circle indicating the current position on a track can sometimes be dragged forward or back to change position, but it often doesn’t respond. Sometimes it improves if I use the skip forward button a couple times first. I tried to contact app support, but the link for support from LibrofmAudiobooks Store leads to what is apparently a read-only site.

LibrofmAudiobooks functionality is overall pretty great. I love the curated list from different bookstore employees and the recommendations are always on point. I love that I can now see my wish list in LibrofmAudiobooks and, if I have credits, purchase most books right in LibrofmAudiobooks . What would shift this from a four star review to a five star review would be if I could purchase books that don’t accept a book credit for purchase. Most do, but some don’t.

Ok, in general I’m a fan of LibrofmAudiobooks and enjoy using it!

Recently, though, it’s gotten very annoying how frequently LibrofmAudiobooks will forget my location and jump back to a previous location. I’m currently listening to a title that’s over 24 hours long, so losing my place & having to find it again is getting very old.

In addition, LibrofmAudiobooks seems to “freeze” its tracking. I’ll try to use the forward or back skip buttons in the iOS Control Center, and it won’t work. Then I’ll go to LibrofmAudiobooks itself, and LibrofmAudiobooks will be stuck at 0:00 on a certain chapter, even though the story keeps playing. I won’t be able to skip forward or back, either using buttons or the scrub bar. It’ll often continue to have the same problem even if I force quit & restart LibrofmAudiobooks . Weirdly, placing a bookmark helps kick LibrofmAudiobooks into tracking where the audio actually is, and reactivates the forward & back features.

While I’m on here complaining, there’s a QOL thing I’d really love to see from LibrofmAudiobooks! I’d really love to start listening to books while they’re still downloading. The Audible app has this feature, and so does my most used podcast app. Please make it so I can start listening before the entire book is downloaded!!

I’d prefer an actual book purchased at my local bookstore, but now that I have a kiddo, I use LibrofmAudiobooks to listen to books while I walk with said kiddo in the stroller! I’m so glad I can still continue to support my local place (Bookbar in Denver!). LibrofmAudiobooks is easy enough to use. My only complaint is that it doesn’t work great on the rare occasions I want to listen via Apple Car play in my car.

I have been a member for over four years. I have used credits, paid my monthly dues, and purchased 5 Harry Potter books and other books “not available for credit usage.”
But today, I ask for a book and the mission seems impossible!
I have over 8 credits available.

I love not having to have an active membership to listen to my books.

I sometimes get busy and credits stack up (and don’t expire). I pause my membership until I can catch up and I can still listen while my membership is paused!

I also support my local store!

Excellent service & selection. Instant access to every book I’ve sought during my 2 year subscription … especially handy when I’m waiting for hardcopy to arrive for a course. Now I find myself doing audio simultaneously with hardcopy for complicated non-fiction (esp history). AND, this fine company supports our local Indy bookstore!

Great selection.
Zero guilt because part of my purchase price goes to my favorite local brick & mortar book store.
LibrofmAudiobooks has been steadily updated over the last couple years and is now at the point where I don’t have anything to complain about. That’s rare for me ;)

I love LibrofmAudiobooks and how I’m supporting my local book store. My only issue is I can’t download my audio books to my Apple iWatch and/or listen on my home audio devices. I can understand the home devices would be a problem but downloading to my iWatch would be great so I don’t always have to carry my iPhone too. Otherwise I love LibrofmAudiobooks!! Thanks so much!!

I love everything about this service, except the tracks. I’m usually switching back and forth between audiobook and physical book and it’s impossible to find your progress with the current setup with tracks. 5 stars and I’ll give up my other audiobook subscription once chapters are added to LibrofmAudiobooks. Love supporting my local bookstore!

Received a 3-month subscription as a gift from my daughter for Mother’s Day. I always felt like I didn’t have the concentration to listen to books since I’m an avid reader. Wrong! Best way to accompany my daily walks. Found myself getting lost in the narratives and the next thing I knew, three miles had passed and I was home! And I’m supporting my favorite bookstore!

I love supporting my local bookstore and so far LibrofmAudiobooks has been great, but having the ability to get new books within LibrofmAudiobooks would make it perfect! I don’t always have my computer, so full functionality In LibrofmAudiobooks (wishlist, purchase new books, etc) would make it that much better. Thank you for providing a alternative!

I love LibrofmAudiobooks. I love the selection of books available! I look books but am not a big reader as I am very busy during the day and if I read at night I fall asleep after two pages. Having LibrofmAudiobooks I listen when I am driving, walking cleaning the house. Best of all it benefits local book stores and help the community. Oh yeah it is really easy to use!

Play stops when the iPhone goes to sleep or when you open another app. You have to continually wake up the phone to keep it playing. I often listen to a book while working on another app but I can’t do that any more. Also when using the sleep timer it stops abruptly, even in the middle of a word. Better to fade out gently like the A app.

I love LibrofmAudiobooks because I love supporting my local bookstore. However, I listen to my audiobooks on different devices throughout the day. Sometimes I’m on my phone and other times I’m on my iPad. Unfortunately, the current version of LibrofmAudiobooks doesn’t update from my previous place on one device when I switch to the other. Or if it has this capability, I cannot find where to turn it on.

I still would recommend LibrofmAudiobooks and company over others, purely to support local bookstores.

Not every audiobook is divided into chapters, which is frustrating when the tracks seem split without any discernible break in the story. LibrofmAudiobooks also seems to skip ahead several seconds at the beginning of each new track, causing even more breaks in the storytelling. I enjoy the service and wish LibrofmAudiobooks were better, but I may have to move on.

I like the idea of LibrofmAudiobooks and supporting my local bookstore, but this is probably the last time I get a book from Libro until they change LibrofmAudiobooks .

Audio books are divided by “track” which has no connection to the progress of the book. Other apps I use for audiobooks organize by chapter.

The effect of this is that if I lose track in the story or if I want to go back to a certain place, I can’t do that in any meaningful way.

This is an easy to use app with great book choices and I love that it helps me support my local indie bookstore. I’m taking away two stars, though, because there is no way that I can find to sync across my iOS devices. Please fix this so I can give 5 stars!

I love LibrofmAudiobooks and feel so good about switching from my other audiobook subscription. I can get almost any book I’m looking for and part of my subscription goes to support my local indie.
The one thing that disappoints me about LibrofmAudiobooks , though, is that it only shows my progress as “time left” or track-by-track. I’d love to see my overall progress at a glance, since it helps me plan when and how long I listen each day.

I basically like LibrofmAudiobooks better than other audiobook formats, But the one thing that tempers my enthusiasm is that when I stop and restart a book on the same device, more frequently than not it picks up at a point well before my stopping point, leaving me to fast forward and sample chapters until I find my spot.

I’ve been using Libro since the fall of 2017 and I love it! They have all of the books I want, and they support indie bookstores. 👍👍👍 I listen to 2-3 books a month. The quality is good. I usually speed book up, and that’s easy to do. Syncs perfectly with in my car, too. Thank you Libro!!!

I love LibrofmAudiobooks for what it offers booksellers and book lovers. When I’ve been pining for a book but have commutes to worry about, LibrofmAudiobooks has my back. Fantastic platform, I recommend it to all of my friends and family, and customers who are afraid they don’t have time to read!

I'm updating my review because the issues I had with LibrofmAudiobooks were fixed! I'm very happy both with the changes (sleep timer options and navigation options) and the responsiveness of the developers.

Great interface, simple to understand and helpful features that enhance the listening experience. The folders are super helpful, love being able to organize my audiobooks!

LibrofmAudiobooks is user friendly, the book selection is great and the company is incredible. You get the audiobooks you want and support an independent bookstore at the same time and I love both of those things.

I read approximately a 100 books a year! All of my books are audiobooks and I just switched over from audible so I could give back to the inde bookstore and author! Happy reading ❤️

Love LibrofmAudiobooks . I'm getting hooked on listening to books more often. I really like receiving book recommendations and reviews so I read books I wouldn't otherwise know about!

And the fact that I am also supporting my beloved neighborhood bookstore makes LibrofmAudiobooks especially appreciated. It is easy to use and has all features I need and enjoy.

As an indie bookseller and book lover LibrofmAudiobooks is everything. I use it everyday to listen to books and to show customers how easy it is to use. It’s so amazing that this company helps indie bookstores!!!!
The only thing I wish I could do is organize my books into folders I can create. Mostly because I’m a supper OCD organizer. There may be a way to actually do that, that I just don’t know about. But that doesn’t hinder my love for LibrofmAudiobooks at all! Seriously, best app ever!!!! Much love!!! <3

I love how easy it is to purchase an audiobook to download and listen to in LibrofmAudiobooks . LibrofmAudiobooks works perfectly! The best part for me is that I can easily go back and find my place if I get distracted.
