Update: reinstalling WeatherGods made reading the signs from the weather gods more consistent. The priests who write WeatherGods are quick to respond to requests for support, and are working to include the gods’ views into weather systems in WeatherGods .

Original review: (was 2 stars) Even with an iPhone X, WeatherGods is about as responsive as the gods to my wishes. Regular taps and strokes don’t accomplish what I want with WeatherGods , so I resorted to first the tears and then the blood of a virgin sacrificed to see if the gods would respond to these. Appeased, they showed me the forecast and gave me insight into when the heavens would light up again. Praise be to the weather gods for their mighty power, but I hope that they’ll be responsive to my pleas in the future. For $2.99, they’d better be!

The layout is confusing at first, this is not designed like most weather apps; however once you overcome the learning curve it is worth it. This seems to be very accurate and I am very pleased overall. The reason this is not a 5 star review is because of a couple of things. First the Apple Watch complication only updates once an hour, I would like the option to change the update frequency since I don’t mine the battery loss. Secondly I think it would be nice to be able to change what the complication shows too, but I think the way it chooses what to present works well, so this isn’t a bug deal. Lastly I am having some issues with WeatherGods not connecting to the watch and refreshing, it is in the watch dock and location is set to always. I assume most of this things will be fixed/modified in the future and would still highly recommend WeatherGods.

I love WeatherGods especially with the new version and how it gives you severe weather alerts. The only drawback, is that I cannot figure out how to enable push notifications after disabling them at some point. In the notification settings, what’s the garage does not appear. And the weather gods settings, notification settings do not appear. So I am confused. But I did email the weather gods team. And I do know that I will hear back from them shortly. So I give it a five star rating. They are constantly working to make WeatherGods accessible and it is very accessible with voiceover. I love you to the team is dedicated to this and post to Apple for us all the time. Thank you for your dedication to accessibility and making a great app.

I love WeatherGods! It has some real cool sounds! Like it's raining in your area, it plays a rain sound! Heavy rain if it's raining and light rain then it plays a lighter rain sound. It's real cool! One very important thing to me along with a weather app that gives you accurate weather, is an app that is voice over accessible. I am blind, and I access my iDevices via the Apple screen reader Voice Over! This developer does a wonderful job making WeatherGods accessible! I love WeatherGods, and would totally recommend it to anyone that wants a good weather app!

This is a very well thought out Weather App! It has a ton of the features that most weather apps have, even the ones that update your weather right on the spot! Even the cute animations and sounds make the apps as well!

Downside of WeatherGods: this WILL use a ton of battery VERY quickly ONLY when you're in WeatherGods . For example, I've used WeatherGods for about 15 minutes and about 7-8% of my battery has been used. It also makes the phone very hot as well. (I have a 5 month old iPhone 7 Plus, with a battery health of 100%) (This drain is expected from Apps that use your location, but I'm not too sure if it's supposed to drain it that quickly)

HOWEVER, when you're NOT in WeatherGods and it's running in the background (setting your location to Always and having WeatherGods notify me about changes of the weather), your battery is completely fine and drains very slowly like before you went IN WeatherGods . So do not worry about WeatherGods draining your phone UNLESS you're actually in WeatherGods .

Just remember, it is an app that uses your location if you choose to do so. So expect drains of battery life if you set your location to 'Always'.

Original review (was 1 star) Used WeatherGods for years on my original iPad Air, and loved it. But recently it started crashing soon after I opened it with no error messages. Tried deleting it and re-downloading it to no avail. I updated iOS to the latest supported version, 12.4.8, but no luck. Disappointing.

I contacted the developer the same evening - he had a fix by the next morning. The issue looks to be resolved. I appreciate his response and effort to work out a solution to my issue. Much apprecieted!

WeatherGods is fairly intuitive not hard to work and very accessible with the voiceover features someone in the Chicago area told me about it a year or so ago and I finally decided to get it I like the sound of fax very much my only question would be when adding a location do I just go into the favorite area and search and find a location and it’s there automatically once I put it in it seems to be there I don’t know if it’s in the recent category or what but that would be my only thing

I would like to know degree heating days degree cooling days high temperature yesterday low temperature yesterday low temperature for month low temperature for your high temperature for month I temperature for year, etc. I would really like historic weather data. I would like to know the rain yesterday the rain week to date I would like to know year to date rainfall snowfall year to date snowfall yesterday this would be very helpful information, at least it will be interesting information. This would be a great addition to WeatherGods. Thank you very much

The new version totally messed up the accuracy in my location, sometimes it’s said that is raining when no cloud is in the sky and no bad weather in the whole country. I put the fault to the new forecasting option of Aerisweather.
Please add more weather forecasting options like Dark Weather or Weather Company. Aerisweather is really bad to me.

I’ve purchased several weather apps over the years, but Weather Gods is the most beautiful one of all. It has accurate up-to-date information with a very well-designed UI. WeatherGods has adorable animations, ambient sound effects, and gorgeous graphics. The developer is responsive and updates WeatherGods on a regular basis. Checking the weather using WeatherGods is a pleasure! Two big thumbs up!!

I've enjoyed watching WeatherGods grow and develop, and working with the developer has been a pleasure. WeatherGods has become a wonderful supply of information, and updates are making that info even more easily accessible using VoiceOver. The sound effects are an unusual and attractive enhancement. The alerts are very helpful as well. Very nice job, and thank you for all your wonderful work!

Got this yesterday based on reviews. I like my weather apps, especially when checking up on other locations. (Difference between my home and work can be huge)

So when I check up on another city, a message comes up prompting me to set the location services to always be on instead of when I’m using WeatherGods . Then I have to push the cancel button.

If you need to know where I am all the time, then there’s something wrong with WeatherGods .

Good, engaging, accurate app but there are a few problems: first of all, when going into hourly weather and then trying to go back, upon hitting the back button WeatherGods will freeze and become unresponsive. Will have to force quit WeatherGods to fix. Really annoying, would appreciate a fix. Also, when tapping on the different “Gods” and seeing their info, i see a very confusing graph with no instructions on how to use it. Would appreciate a better way of conveying the information. Overall, really cool app.

I really do like this weather app. It is very accurate and very easy to use with voiceover. But the thing I really like about it that brings it up a notch, is it has the sounds. I enjoy listening to sound as it sounds is such a great part of my world since I cannot see. Not only is it very useful, but it’s fun to use.

I really like WeatherGods because I can hear the weather! The developers have done a wonderful job making WeatherGods accessible and easy to use. I would highly recommend WeatherGods to anyone who wants to keep track of the weather in the places they care about around the world.

Update 2: I installed WeatherGods again figuring I'd give it another try and was disappointed to see that the font in WeatherGods has changed :(

Update: Unfortunately I've noticed that WeatherGods is becoming less accurate with its weather predictions. I've over-dressed on a couple of occasions due to this. I hope this issue gets fixed soon :(

Wow!!!! This is a seriously breath-takingly stunning app. It definitely has a learning curve--but the UI makes everything well worth it. Beautiful. New favorite.

I am obsessed with the weather because I garden, and have to dress my children every day. This is going to sound crazy, but with WeatherGods checking the weather has become a treat and a moment of reflection and connection with the cycles of nature. I love it so much.

Stumbled upon WeatherGods while always looking for my go to weather app. This may be it. Really love the way the weather is presented, love the interface. It takes a little while to learn, but once you understand it, it’s great. I would like to see some options for sounds, they could be a paid upgrade item.

The only reason I’m giving this four stars right now is because of the sounds, the music is OK, a little weird, but at least it’s very adjustable, but the sound effects are just to unrealistic for me, and just seem choppy in their placement, I tried turning them down, but I eventually just turned them off altogether unfortunately.

I have tried just about every weather app out there, this one is one of my favorites, I also use RainAware and Dark Sky
