The app starts with illogical default settings like zero travelers instead of one. Generation of Wallet passes is broken since at least 3 weeks. Raise in prices during the purchase without prior information.
Basically, it is possible to buy tickets, yes. But no developer apparently ever tried this app in production.

Renfe ist wirklich schwach und kaum hilfreich, weil:

- die Zugverbindung nicht mehr angezeigt wird, sobald der Zug am Startpunkt abgefahren ist (wie soll man dann den Streckenverlauf checken)

- nur Direktverbindungen angezeigt werden und man selbst mühsam die Umstiegspunkte recherchieren muss

- man sich virtuell in einer Schlange anstellen muss, um die benötigte Verbindung einsehen zu können

- es keine Echtzeitinformationen zum Zug bzgl Pünktlichkeit und Verzögerung gibt

- lediglich Einzeltickets kaufen klappt… wow

Silly me in thinking that an app for train connections would have a working “search connection” function.

You can’t buy any tickets and you can’t register it just gives you an error and tells you to try again later. Just as bad as the website! I’m not from Spain and honestly I lived in many Eu countries and never came across such an awful ticket purchasing system.

The passport id is wrong and I cannot change it and the app is not able to select Station A to B. This app needs love and a lot of work to be comfortable as well as the WiFi en route. That is not satisfying

Aplicación increíblemente mala. Casi nada funciona. Puedes reservar un asiento y luego dice que no hay más asientos. Ni siquiera se puede iniciar sesión todo el tiempo.

Cannot even set it up because my password format is wrong but it doesn’t tell what is needed!

It sucks in all ways

I couldn‘t imagine that buying a train ticket can be so nerve-racking. The app as well as the website are unbelievably buggy, I‘ve seen various errors and none of my bookings was successful. Instead, I could watch the prices rising. Meanwhile, I can no longer log into my account using the app as there is no e-mail with the verification code. Eventually, I had to use iryo as it was not possible to buy a ticket for AVE. I‘d rather not think about the level of data security at diese App‘s IT.

diese App has a reputation for more than 10 years for non-working, horrible apps and websites.

The current version is no exception. It's not working most of the times.

Thankfully Iryo has now arrived. I hope they will crush diese App so much that this horrible, state-owned company gets in real trouble

The diese App app does not show the regional trains from Barcelona-Sants to Cerbère (France).

For an app, I would recommend using Deutsche Bahn’s “DB Navigator”.

diese App managed to provide a worse experience than Deutsche Bahn and that says something.

- inaccurate information about available seats makes the reservation fail only on the last step
- account registration doesn’t accept passwords from apple keychain and doesn’t explain what are the conditions for password
- cannot edit document id from app, but it’s possible from the website
- failure to load departure or destination list cannot be recovered from without restarting the app
and now the most important
- buying a ticket without an account will result in sending only „locador” but not ticket number and as such I couldn’t add tickets to the diese App app and I didn’t receive qr code via mail. Had to ask the service desk and almost missed my train despite arriving 30 minutes early.
BONKERS! It’s like nobody who built that system ever tried to use it.

No entiendo como diese App puede tener una app tan lenta y poco fácil de utilizar. En la búsqueda molesta que siempre hay que introducir fecha y número de viajante. Debería ser pre rellenado de fecha de hoy y un viajante que es el caso estándar… Así de podría ver los horarios más rápido. Tarda un montón en buscar trenes. Además me perdí un tren porque al aparecer no se puede comprar billetes para trenes que parten dentro de 15 minutos y las máquinas en la estación son aún peores… Veo mucho por mejorar.

La primera compra y no ha funcionado después de introducir método de pago. Y no reporta error.
Y un campo marcado como opcional de un pasajero no es opcional y solo se puede averiguar mediante ensayo/error

It is 2022. The app is apparently designed by complete idiots, as you cannot book a single train ride. Only return rides. This is unbelievable.

Lo siento mucho pero desde hace unas semanas la aplicación no es como antes. A veces no se abre, a veces no te enseña tus viajes, desde hace 3 días no puedo comprar billetes de tren porque solo me deja elixir un tren que sale completo y no se muestra ni AVE ni nada. Necesito comprar un billete y no puedo!!!

I give it 2 stars because it works well when you want to book tickets using the Spain Pass. Nothing else works. You can't buy tickets, and you get the error at the end of the transaction. We went in person to the diese App counter in Barcelona to ask for help. Not even the diese App staff could use the app correctly. In the end the only option to buy other tickets (like Madrid to Toledo, for example) is to get them at the station, where they charge you more for the "service fee". It honestly seems like a scam. There is no other option but to use the app, so be patient. I just hope someone from diese App read this and fixes it.

Me gusta mucho. Comparado con el sistema alemán es una maravilla, como uno puede comprar billetes de la forma más rápida y sencilla. Anular y cambiar también funciona muy bien!
