I find ShareMyToolbox slow, limited and problematic, and Milwaukee's ONE-KEY app much more responsive and intuitive. ShareMyToolbox doesn't seem to even recognize the existence of Apple's password management system, let alone integrate it (meaning that if you want to use a secure password, you have to do a search, find the passwords app, open it and create and/or copy your password, then explicitly go back to ShareMyToolbox and paste your password in, all instead of simply tapping a banner above your keyboard to auto fill your password); every action you take is followed by a pause while a wheel spins around as ShareMyToolbox thinks about what you've told it to do for a second before it does it, it took me about five minutes to figure out how to lend out a tool (it's complicated), and when I'd seen enough and wanted to delete my account, ShareMyToolbox threw an error.

I love ShareMyToolbox . I only have two suggestions. It would be nice to be able to loan tools to people without having them install ShareMyToolbox and create an account. Second, when I tap on Search and then the back arrow it goes through 2 screens. I expect to go back to where I was when I tap back. Seems like a great app but I was looking for more of an inventory app, instead of one that’s only about sharing tools, great app idea though, I may come back to ShareMyToolbox and download it in the future.

We have been using ShareMyToolbox for almost 1 year and the amount of time we have saved no having to look for tool/equipment is priceless alone. We have been able to save thousands by not having to purchase the same tools/equipment over and over because we know where they are. The fact that you can set up warehouse locations such as trucks or physical locations makes it easy to see who has what or where it went . The new update looks great and really streamlined the whole process. The feature that allows for the use of barcodes makes it easy to check out a tool. This is great for tools and any equipment. We use it for everything from tools to portable job site heaters etc.

I’m just updating my previous review. I had a concern and was contacted very quickly and my issue was user error so on me and was told exactly how to correct it. ShareMyToolbox is great and does everything it says it will.

We recently have switched from asset panda to SMTB, and as the warehouse manager this by far is the most simple and easy to use asset management system, from tracking our consumables to our everyday tools we “loan” to the field guys definitely a fan

Very good app - we track over 2,000 items and ShareMyToolbox can handle it! We really enjoy the workflow, ease of use and fast feedback from support! We looked at ToolWatch, ToolHound, etc. they were so expensive in comparison. This is perfect for our use of simply knowing where our tools are!

Once I found SMTB, I stopped looking! This is the solution to accountability, saving hours searching for lost tools, the ability to have access to owners manual, manufactures websites, etc. ShareMyToolbox/service is saving us a ton of time.

This databases your tools very well, and it’s great to store prices, manuals and warranty info on the listing. Would be even better if you could copy listings and change the SN for similar tools, would recommend this if you have lots of employees and tools being loaned around.

I have used ShareMyToolbox with my company for a little over a year now, I use their app everyday to track items, it’s very easy, and laid out very well, I could not do my job without ShareMyToolbox to help track everything, Share my toolbox is awesome, great costumer service.

We use it for equipment much more than for tools. And it still works great for us as an equipment app. If the most current hour meter note would always be displayed with the machine. This would be the absolute perfect Equipment app. And that’s not even a complaint. That’s just saying how close to perfect it is

I love ShareMyToolbox and the web based program. Some of the reporting is a little difficult to maneuver at times but over all a great tool. I wish there was a place to log repairs and repair costs for tools so you can see when it is a time to retire a tool. I love the new QR tags they scan so much faster then the barcode ones.

We have tried several tool tracking programs in the past but none of them really fit our needs. We really like all the flexibility that this app provides. The phone and the website interface are very user friendly.

Ease of use and technical support is off the charts with this one. Keeps everything organized and everyone accountable for the tools they have, which makes sure we get them all back and accounted for. Thanks for a great product! Update: the new updates really improve the functionality!! Well done!

ShareMyToolbox is awesome! We use it in our construction company and it keeps a good tab on where tools are at and who has them. A little suggestion would be to have an mass audit function to see if each person still has the tools assigned to them, but this could come in the future. Otherwise, it has been very useful and I recommend it!

I was doing a project for a small contracting company trying to grow in size and that wanted to optimize accountability and transparency between the central office and the job sites. this app was a perfect fit for our smaller company cost wise and functionality wise. The support line was always open, fast, and helped me the whole way. They’re continuing to improve ShareMyToolbox and clearly know what their users want out of a product like this. Fantastic experience

My company has used the SMTB system for over a year to track our tools and prevent theft. It has helped us to promote accountability among our workforce and to organize our inventory of tools and equipment. ShareMyToolbox is easy to use even for our employees that don’t read English well. Chuck answers the phone every time I call and is very helpful. They are constantly fine tuning and adding features. I highly recommend SMTB for your asset and inventory tracking needs.

The company I work for started using ShareMyToolbox just prior to my employment with them 2 years ago. This tracking system was easy to learn. All of our field guys have ShareMyToolbox on their phones and even they guys that are not tech savvy use it with no issues. I love the audit feature that allows me to send audits to any of our field guys to confirm they still have the tools/equipment assigned to them. ShareMyToolbox is a must have for any company that is in need of a tool/equipment tracking system.

Very good and intuitive app. Works for our company of 35 technicians for year already, and works very good. It is a big problem to train elder technician how to use the apps but training SMBT app was easy because of a good design and simple processes. Of course there is a few bug like in each app, for example logging out issue. ShareMyToolbox can log you out and you have to input your credentials again, which may be a problem for some technicians, but I hope SMBT team will resolve this issue with the next update. Web version is working good also. SMBT customer service is on the top level! Chuck, founder of SMBT replies quickly and helping with all issues and questions.

I work for a small design build company (~30 employees) and we have several tools that are constantly coming in and out of the shop and we always lacked a management system to keep track of all of those tools.

Recently we signed up with this app and have started cataloging all of those tools on their app. It is the perfect fit for our company where the tools we have are carried and dropped at various locations that are always changing by different people. We can say who took what where and when and what condition it was in when the transfer happened.

When you consider time lost looking for tools that aren’t where they should be it’s infuriating. Finally a system that will help us track tools and supplies with accountability for team members built in.
