The deck is rigged against you completely, this is not realistic, it’s not that hard to tell that the cards aren’t random bet high and you will get a bad hand reduce your bet extremely and your hand improves tremendously. The dealer goes on winning streaks which happens in real bj of course but not as much as portrayed here. I’ve had fun trying to find a way to exploit dealer streaks by betting low and when the game gives you a rare win streak to bet high but it doesn’t always work because the game almost always gives you a bad hand when you bet higher. Also whenever your supposed to double or split by basic strategy the game will screw you over 9/10 times with the card you draw being bad or the dealer gets a 21 from a 3-6 revealed card. I can’t count how many times I’ve had a good hand to stay but the dealer is always 1 more up. The algorithm seems to just decide that you are going to lose, whatever shuffle their is isn’t consistent. I have to wonder what incentive their is for the developer to rig the deck this way, perhaps if you buy the pro version some of these issues might be resolved. The longer you play the worse the odds get which is realistic, it’s best to just play a few hands and take your winnings doing this I’ve been able to grow the balance substantially. Despite all the issues this is the best this app app I’ve tried so far although that isn’t saying much. If you want to really learn it’s best to just use real cards.
This is probably one of the better this app apps I’ve tried. Chips are free to replenish, the ad banner at the bottom of the screen is not disruptive, and the flow of the game is very smooth. However, like every other digital this app app out there, it’s rigged. The fact that you can turn on or off a “Luck Booster” proves this. Every time I play with real cards, I win significantly more often. Seriously, on Blackjack I bust almost every other hand, and literally just about every single time I double a 10 or 11, it gives me a 2,3, or 4 and the computer wins almost every time. I don’t understand what the content creator gets out of making an app that cheats. I wish for an app that has a predetermined shuffled deck of cards that doesn’t change and could furthermore be checked to ensure the computer isn’t cheating and changing the order of the cards. What’s so hard about that?
The advice function is a great tool for learning, but the actual hands themselves are absurd and unrealistic… the dealer ALWAYS turns the card it needs (high or low). You can almost predict the next card. It’s amazing how the dealer always seems to never pull a face/10 card when they are sitting between 12-16. If they are showing face, you better believe they are flipping face or flipping multiple low cards and not bust. I was actually laughing out loud watching hands unfold. I’ve played a lot of this app and after just 15 minutes of messing around on Blackjack it would have been one of the worst days at a table I’ve have ever experienced. My win rate (using the apps advice, which is the correct play) must have been lower than 20%. That’s unrealistic even on bad days.
In the past few weeks I’ve played on and off with Blackjack, but I’ve come to realize rather quickly that the cards are duplicated, multiple hands are played where the exact same 10 of spades or king of clubs are in both the dealer’s and my hand, and attempting to count or use this to practice is really a matter of skill in patience and rigging the game’s algorithm:
Once you have a push, lower bet until next push followed by a win, then raise bet and win multiple hands until push.
Please at least add a proper card counting mechanic in your game’s system to toggle rather than randomize only. It’s fun and enjoyable to screw around on, but to call this close to casino authentic then have 3 of the same queen in a split does not scream authenticity to me.
I like this game a lot as it just lets you practice unlike other games that give bonuses and level ups. I appreciate the ability to bet just like I would at my casino. I have noticed that the guide does not go exactly by basic strategy how ever I understand there are different ones. I have a hard time believing the cards are shuffled and remain a constant. I find it funny that almost every time I move into a high bet that I get 19 or 20 and the dealer gets this app almost every time. I have now played for over 10 hours using my normal betting strategy. The last six hours I have remained right in the same hundred bucks I’ve been in. Strange.
The Pro version is worth it. Provides many settings to customize the game for your casino rules. This interface is the best. Cards are large, buttons placed on screen, chips on screen. And NO Ads. Now the down-side… not sure why the developer has programmed the game to wipe you out when you begin to bet high. Time and time again, if bets are near table max the dealer pulls crazy hands to beat you. I’ve seen this go 10 hands in a row multiple times. Drop your bet to min and the hands move in your favor. Doesn’t make sense since replenishing your bank account is free and frustrating the player with unrealistic cards does not lead to Tips for the developer. It’s too bad the algorithm is wonky like this because this is the best interface out there.
Mark, thank you for this! I've played a lot of real this app, and most app-store versions find ways to milk the player. Yours feels "real", and the option to upgrade to drop ads and add features is perfect (upgrade purchased!) For those looking for a well-done this app game, this IS IT! My only feature request would be to add 1-4 additional virtual players to make it feel a bit more casino-realistic. After playing for awhile, like others have noticed, as the bets go up, so too seems the dealer's luck. Coincidence?
Good game. Play according to the strategy in the preference section is for 4 decks. Most Vegas casinos will either put into play double deck, 6 deck or 8 deck.
Play is smooth and it’s nice not to have to buy chips. I would like to see it be a little more customizable in terms of number of decks in play, with dealer hits or stays on 17, double after splitting or not, hit Aces after split, stuff like that.
Enjoyable game overall. Well done to the developers.
I went through four other this app apps before I found this one. It’s the only one that didn’t subject me to long adds every few hands or charging for more chips, but didn’t cause my battery to start overheating. Not quite as many features, but honestly I don’t need them and will gladly give them up to not deal with all the other crap.
Did I initially think the shoe was stacked against me? Sure did. But after rebuying three times, I've more than tripled my $20k 'bankroll' to over $70k. Will likely purchase the pro version, though I don't think it's necessary to practice. The best things about it are how many hands I can play in a short time, the lack of intrusive ads, and not having to wait for more chips. Highly recommend.
This is a great app. It is simple and works well. If you are trying to learn the game or practice before a real casino, this is Blackjack to get. I’m in Vegas practicing right now before hitting the tables. The ads are in a small bar at the bottom. I upgraded to the Pro version which has no ads and advanced features. I tried several other Blacjack apps and found them lacking and full of ads. Kudos to this developer.! Well done Sir.
I can’t help but think it’s somehow rigged. I think 80% of the time the dealer shows a 10, they will get a 10 on the down card. Are these just the real odds? I’m not making an accusation, I’m just saying the odds in real black jack don’t seem that bad when I play. I first thought I had turned the luck meter down to some sort of negative luck in favor of the dealer, but hey, maybe that’s just this app!
Game play is very fun, you can change the pace based on what you want. Simple UI is nice and it works well.
The cheats are fun and I have found myself changing up how Blackjack works based on how I feel that day. If I’ve had a bad day, I crank up the shamrock and just pretend I’m a High roller taking down the casino. Or, if I’m up for a challenge, I just go with legit rules.
I really like this game. I started playing in the hopes of growing my black jack skills and winning big in a casino, but really I’ve learned that in the long run, the house will always win.
Great app.
There is no competition at all. Blackjack is absolutely perfect. The developer uses Apples RNG, so it is 100% random, although there’s an optional luck enhancer that can be used to give the player some extra luck. The free version has some banner ads, but no annoying commercials like most of the other BJ apps on Blackjack Store. And there’s no “pay-to-win” scam, like a lot of the other BJ apps. The pro version of Blackjack has all kinds of customizable features and embedded card counting to help you practice your card counting skills. Blackjack blows every other this app app out of the water.
Ads are unobtrusive, haven’t done statistical analysis on correct deck modeling but feels fair. The only thing missing is a better training mode, where I could make a blind decision and then get instant feedback about whether it was correct (maybe with a quick way to peek at the strategy table). I love that I can turn off hand values but might like a way to keep them off until the entire dealer’s hand is complete. Anyway, this is extremely high quality and much appreciated.
EDIT: after purchasing the pro pack, I think all my requests are already built! This is great!
This is the best this app app I've found in the AppStore. I have tried quite a few of them and none of the other apps come close.
Of the others I've tried, they all want you to buy chips, or their shuffle algorithm favors the dealer overwhelmingly, or both.
The great attributes of this game are:
- Chips are free. No extra chip buying!
- The shuffle algorithm is as close to the real thing as I've come across.
- The table settings allows you to set it up the same as you would find in Vegas .
- The free version gives you all the functionality, just with ads.
- Removing adds forever is just $1.99, which is a very fair price (I paid it almost immediately).
- It actually plays in landscape on the iPad, unlike a lot of the others that's still mostly geared towards the iPhone in portrait.
- Blackjack developer is very responsive to suggestions and requests, and clearly knows the ins and outs of this app.
- It's great to play just for fun (there's a luck booster) or to use it to practice for the real thing.
I'm using it to prep for an upcoming Vegas trip, and it has already helped me to become better at basic strategy and bankroll management.
Kudos to the developer for creating this great this app app!
You got to go get home from work and get home and then come home and I’ll come over and see you later I gotta was the time of the time I wanna was the time of that summer time to get home and get some stuff to go get to get my hair done I wanna know that you get to see me her I gotta see y’all soon come home soon get me some stuff for me her and I’ll come back to her room now I wanna know how you gonna I gotta is your day you got a chance I wanna was a time to come home to you get your hair and go back and take your time to come over here for a minute and get a couple more stuff and I wanna know that I’m going home to the park I gotta was a good morning beautiful day to see l
this app is a humbling game. It will bring you to highs and lows in a matter of seconds! This game, the only one I’ve found in Blackjack Store, is by far, the single most realistic, non-promotional, game out there for this app. Not only will you see what a buy in will potentially make (or cost) it sets a realistic level of money management for when you do go to the casino. I’ve tried countless apps, this is the only one that continues to exceed expectations, by the way real this app will only be played. Well done - and I highly recommend playing before you enter the real game. The more hands you play, the more you will realize how much of a streaky game it really is! Good luck ✅
I’ve been playing Blackjack for a few years now. There is not a better this app training app in existence. The goal is to be unconsciously competent of this unpredictable casino game. Blackjack delivers, hands down. Why? Because it mimics exactly what happens when the player deviates from basic strategy, but most importantly, it reveals how many hands are actually not winnable. And it’s refreshing to know what, we as players, are really going up against. Thanks for making an outstanding simulator. My only suggested update? Two hands. There’s a different strategy on playing when you know one hand is weak and the other likely a winner.
Always seems to be heavy on Aces and lean on Face Cards. I’ve changed the numbers of decks but I don’t have the ability to shuffle…the “Request Scuffle” never works in settings and there is no indicator on the game table. Enjoy the game, but when I get 5 Aces dealt back to back…just not realistic. Did a count of Aces in the shoe: Aces of Hearts-14 Aces of Diamonds-24 Aces of Clubs-25 Aces of Spades-22
Update: The developer, Mark, took time to work with me to correct the problem that I was experiencing with the deck not being balanced and a number of features that were not working. Due to his outstanding customer service, the game now is outstanding and very realistic. I can’t thank him enough for the time he took to assist me in correcting the problems.
This game is fun but it is too generous to the dealer who wins most of the time. This is more so if you put down large bets. Some players might get frustrated and lose interest in the game. Your chance of winning seems to get higher if you place smaller bets. Is the purpose to encourage players To manage their money more carefully? For Me, once I stopped putting my bet down haphazardly my odds of winning or losing become more reasonable, and Now I am hooked to the game.
