Was great...now, not so much.

Like many others have said, Desire used to be awesome. That came to an end after the latest update when they removed the community dares. Desire is now a nerfed version of its previous self and is nothing more than a money grab. And, let’s not ignore the fact that cost is beyond ridiculous. The rationale behind the change seems fishy, at best. There are literally dozens of other similar apps that allow more graphic content than you could find here, yet they manage to navigate through the “content restrictions” that have ruined Desire. But like I said before, I don’t actually buy the excuse given by the developer. They’re either too lazy to keep up, or weren’t making enough money. Either way, it shows a lack of both creativity and transparency. It WAS really cool to feel like you were part of a community of couples who were actively participating in improving one another’s love lives. Now, all couples have to choose from are a handful of generic dares that aren’t particularly creative or exciting. It’s incredibly unfortunate how difficult it is for consenting adults to find a place to share their ideas and experiences in regards to sexuality. this app used to be one of those places, but no longer.

Awesome app for couples!

My husband and I have been using Desire for about a month now and so far really enjoy it! It’s a fun and easy way to keep the romance and spontaneity alive.
Best part: You can spend a lot or a little bit of time and have fun either way!
I also really like that you have the option to choose from premade dares, ones written by other users or you can create your own dare to send to your partner.

Only complaint: You start off only able to see a small amount of the dares and it can get a little boring after a while of seeing the same ones making it hard to get points to level up and get to see more... it would be nice to have more dares unlocked right off the bat.

IT WAS a good app, Now they are headed in the WRONG DIRECTION

The latest update is the start of ruining a great thing. Not sure why the developer would choose this path. (As other reviews list many potential reasons $$)

Regardless hopefully they can HEAR OUR CONCERNS of those of us that actually previously used Desire . (It is funny to read the reviews that the DEVELOPER is quick to acknowledge positive reviews but SEEMS TO BE HIDING from the recent concerns regarding the update.) They will probably continue to hide behind the reasoning being a policy change regarding content, with no real justification other then their own intentions. (Even though after researching things it doesn’t appear that APPLE has recently made any policy changes) Desire is rated age appropriate and doesn’t seem to violate the other parameters. Again most likely pointing to a potential change all for the $$$$!

Come On! Don’t continue with such a stupid move that will ultimately destroy something that seems to have had such great success, ESPECIALLY if it is just a ploy for $$$$.

Great but always room for improvement

So me and the wife were growing kind of distant and cell phones were part of the blame... any who I’ll keep this short as possible. It no promises I love the idea of it,available free features aren’t just a small taste but enjoyable...,user interaction and involvement using dares A+ gives variety and alowds for more personalized experiences.. and that u can post them for anybody so if u want more crazy dares and u don’t have an imagination. As a subscriber can I have more thanthree dares. The idea of having the wife and man competing instead of just doing yy cause they feel obligated makes it more enjoyable and showed us that it’s fun and should have been doing it without Desire : I think there needs to be a kinkier version for people who are more adventurous that could even make people of that lifestyle bdsm for example to those nervous zone which help heighten the experience lol sorry for the length

Love it

Husband and I love Desire! It's a great way to connect, reconnect, or connect deeper with your love. I love that I can ask for things that I like to happen more often by doing more kissing-type dares or flirting-type, and my husband can ask for the things he needs/wants to happen more. We've been married 8 years and over a short month I've already learned better how to meet his needs just by the types of dares he gives me. We have spent more time in the bedroom and more general time with each other. We've also done things we wouldn't normally do like planning a mini tropical party with just us and our kids, and running through the sprinklers just to kiss eachother. It's such a fun app on multiple levels. I highly recommend it!

It's great fun!

I've been playing this little game with my S.O. for well over a year now and we love it. There are so many community dares to choose from I find myself scrolling through tons just smiling and thinking about what I'll use for my next idea. It's a really great way to do new and nice things for your partner with a little reward system to follow. Making up fun dares for your partner is great way to get engaged with them and find new ways to explore your relationship. Desire has only improved since we started using it and it's been absolutely awesome. It even works with slower data which means there's basically no hassle in using it away from WiFi. Never really too slow and bugs are fairly miniscule.

Excellent concept

My wife and I have been married for 10 years and are in a phase of change and growth in our lives and relationship. Desire has been a fun addition to keeping our love life strong in many ways. It has great suggestions to choose from but also has the ability to write your own dares and messages. It’s not just a “let’s have sex” app but also facilitates romance on an emotional and spiritual level too. Only thing I’d like, is better compatibility with phone keyboards, gifs, clip art etc.

Really fun but the locked dares are annoying

I like how Desire creates a fun way to spice it up and get new ideas to play with your partner or value little things in the relationship more, but the locked dares make it feel very in app purchase driven and ruin the focus on you and your partner. Honestly if they just charged a dollar or 1.99 initially to buy it instead of making it a subscription it would be great. I get the earning coins part but half the time you don’t earn enough to unlock categories before they’re not relevant (ex: Halloween is almost not relevant and me and my partner just started and want that one but don’t want to spend money on coins). It would just be better to make Desire an initial purchase then have free range of all features.

Keeps the fire burning!

Desire has been one of the best things my wife and I have ever done together. We have been looking for something to help us actively keep the fire of our relationship burning. But until we found this app, there was nothing that we wouldn’t get bored of after a week or so. We’ve tried tons of apps, as well as board games, card games, u name it... nothing was keeping us both enthralled in our passions like we wanted. The customizable dares make it easier to open up and express desires and fantasies. My wife and I can’t put it down. Best app ever!

Newlyweds and loving it

My wife and I are so thankful for Desire and all the fun we are already having. We are proactive in striving to effectively communicate and prevent issues in our marriage from building. The novelty in Desire is freely expressing what we like and how to get to know one another better.

As a husband, it’s helped me express myself more, which has been very helpful. The built in dares are a blast and we have gotten creative in customizing them for us. We are exploring things we didn’t really approach before and I couldn’t rate it higher. We will use Desire for a very long time

First good app I’ve found

I have always been looking for a good sex app that did more than just a simple game. I do enjoy a good sex game as well, but Desire is a more long term fun. My wife and I have been way more sexually actively since getting Desire. We have a hard time doing anything else in the evening when the kids go to bed. This helps the woman ask for the love she needs, and the man can be more adventurous.

This has a huge potential to have many other great additions to it, I just can’t think of any right at this moment. I’ll send suggestions as I think of them.

Don’t Bother downloading, positive reviews were before the developer turned GREEDY

The past app was GREAT. Was even impressed that in the past they sent out separate surveys to make improvements. However, with the recent change of removing the community feature. With the supposed promise of more category dares, was just a ploy because enough people were not paying for the magic coins! Because they could get more exciting dates from the community.
It appears that between the push with advertisements and the focus on a monthly membership it is obvious that $$$ seems to be the driving factor of every recent decision of the developer. The claim of content excuse to make the change for an adult age 17+ app is laughable. Developer just own up to the fact that the $ got the best of you!

Quiz is no longer sexy

Daily quiz used to be sexy. Now they’re just every day ice breaker questions you could have with anyone: a co worker, your hair dresser, the county judge during your probation hearing... Desire has lost a lot of its original “heat” with more recent updates. Dares are still fun and creative. But it lacks certain features like “save for later” when you want to decline for the moment but would love to come back it in the future; or being able to add a homemade dare to favorites (last I saw this isn’t possible).
Recent update lost all the pics in our message thread. So that sucked. Overall Desire is structured and is conceptually enticing, but delivery is meh and quiz is too “3rd grade flirting”.

Great idea, but BROKEN

Desire really seems like it would be fun - if it worked AT ALL. Something must be wrong with the latest version of Desire - it completely doesn’t work. I sent a date to my wife - she saw it and accepted it, and then when it was completed, I selected “Completed” but absolutely nothing happened. No score, no indication that the date was completed at all - nothing works at all. Very, very poor implementation - and I resent the fact that every action somehow was linked to us buying products. Extremely poor customer experience and a complete waste of time. At least I didn’t pay anything for Desire - if I paid $.99 for Desire I would be screaming for a refund. I can’t believe the developers actually released a game like this that is so fundamentally broken!

So far we're enjoying it.

When you've been together for years and especially after kids, it's easy to get caught up in day to day responsibilities. Desire has been a fun way to get back to how we used to be. I love that the dares have time limits and a point system so they not only don't get pushed off but they make it fun and competitive. I'm very happy that the dares range from sweet to kinky and there's a community that provide even more ideas. The only thing I'd change is give us more opportunity to earn coins.

Must have app for couples

At first the dares were mostly locked but with a little time and some fantastic dares more and more dares are earned and opened. Send and receive dares through out the day, and it’s all up to the couple on if it’s completed. There a lot of dares that don’t apply for us but my favorite part of Desire is the create a dare game play. No one know you and your partner like each other so skies the limit on how spicy it gets. Great app, awesome designers with the will to continue keeping it interesting and entertaining. GOOD JOB this app AND THE WIFE AND I THANK YOU!!

Saved my marriage

With a teenager and two toddlers there wasn’t much time for us. It was great to secretly text, dare, and learn more about each other. Highly recommend for any couple. In-app purchase are worth it as well and we are penny pinchers. ** I was very sad when the update took some of our favorite categories that we had purchased. I emailed the customer support and they went above and beyond to make it right. Highly recommend!

Encourages Bad Behavior

So much fun; in fact. I find myself sneaking away from my work shift to send a quick e-love or to see if my partner has sent any dares for me to accomplish at work. It is fun to be able to find new boundaries and ways to communicate with your significant other.

Its also fun to send little notes of encouragement after a dare is completed or to say thank you.

I would love to be able to save my personalized dares so that I can use ones that are meaningful to me and use them more regularly...

Potentially amazing

My wife and I just agreed to give this little game a shot. It has already made everyday requests much more coy and fun, and both of us much more adventurous. What a great communication tool. I only wish I knew why the community dares section seems to be empty. A feature that would be amazing is the ability to favorite the dares you write yourself so that you can customize reusable requests that fit your lifestyle!

By

This is amazing

We are having so much fun I love it I wish you could get coins for free just sometimes would be nice and I wish you got notice when a Challenge comes and it should text you or something like that also I really wish you could add your own face or create an avatar look a like. But thank you for making this amazing app we will play together using this I’m so happy with it I hope it grows and gives more

Have LOVED this app previously but Congratulations developer you are now ruining a great thing

The fact that with the latest update you are doing away with the community dares portion is a horrible mistake!! The claim that you can’t control the content doesn’t make sense in the fact that each date written for the community has to be approved first before going live. You may have bigger concerns that you can not keep up with the amount of dares submitted.

However I would pose that it is a matter of $$$ since you don’t offer Desire on a one time purchase and rather have monthly renewal and minimal discount for the 2nd partner. The community is probably taking away others from signing up for the overpriced subscription for unlimited categories. Not to mention you will loose the thought generators that you have benefited from as your category dares have been built off the ideas of those who submit the community dares. The sad thing is the extra monitoring you have used of wanting to make sure someone uses the right terminology of anatomy (Or rather lack of any allowed terminology) you would do better to allow the community to run off your external filters and allow all the offended snowflakes to not follow authors they don’t approve of?

Sad to see a great app that can promote increased emotional and martial connection be lost over the greed 💰 👿 💰 of the developers. 👐🏻 way to ruin a good thing.
