Loudest bell ringer goes on for 5 min when you open app, no way to turn off

I downloaded the free version of this and wound up deleting it right afterwards when I discovered that the option for the gps was always on or never. The choice for "when in use" was missing. Otherwise it might have some promise for sporty athletic types.

Overall, this is pretty sweet. There are lots of great tools, but it it also lacks a clear use age guide. There are speed reminders with no way to apparently turn off the sounds. I live the mapping capabilities. Speed, altitude, distance and more. I thought the free version was the best I had seen, so I upgraded to the full version. I recommend staying with the free version because the controls that I needed were not included.

A nice large simple display. It seems fairly accurate. I checked it against my car speedometer and they are within a couple mph of each other. Right now I’m riding in a bus that’s going about 5 mph over the speed limit. That’s probably as convincing a testimonial as you’ll get that it’s accurate

I love SpeedometerSpeedLimitAlert...I wish that was a tutorial of all the features that are available but after learning it the hard way i don't regret spending my time on something that I will be using a great deal of... My hat is off to the developer!

I like to push all my cars to the limit. Most of the time my speedometer will be maxed out so I never know how fast I’m actually going. Thanks to this I now know what my actual top speeds are

I have used few other apps but so far found this one as the best. The audio notification is just amazing. It's quite accurate in terms of speed and acceleration. Tons of cool and interesting features and above all a free app with no ads.

Features
Why use the GPS G-meter: no need to keep your iPhone in a fixed position or connect it to your vehicle’s computer system, which means speed readings can be taken discreetly, for example, during a test drive.
To do this, create a route, using a special online service (such as GPX Editor - The online GPX file editor - Track drawing websites - ) on your desktop, and export it as a GPX (KML, CSV) file.
60!!": Continuous signal within the speed range between 50 and 55, and continuous signal for over 60.
The file name must begin with "Route".
Get APPROXIMATE acceleration calculated based on your speed variation.
Using iTunes, transfer the file into the app (OR use the "Files" app).
• "60! 70!! 80!!!": One audio signal once you go over 60, a continuous signal for over 70, and another continuous (and more unpleasant) signal for over 80.
Load and show your route (journey plan) on the map together with a track.
Acceleration cannot be measured near tall buildings, in the mountains or woods.
Following this, you will be able to select your route at the bottom of your track list.
THE FILTER MUST BE ON WHEN CYCLING, JOGGING OR WALKING.
Acceleration is calculated only when the filter is off.
Readings with the filter on are more inert than those with the filter off though.
