Watch app totally nonfunctional

The Apple Watch app just hangs on a “Checking your subscription...” message and will go no farther. (My subscription is active). I’ve tried deleting and reloading to the watch and get same result.
Developer responded saying restart the app. Yeah, I’ve tried that a half-dozen times both before and after restarting the app. Same result.
Widget issue

I have an iPhone 11 and the iPad Air-purchased sept/oct 2021. Both widgets now show black screens regardless of widget size after the latest update. I’ve done all the basic troubleshooting like deleting and redos loading, restarting devices, etc and issue still exists. Please correct these because I love this app!
Apple Watch issues

Great App, but recently I got a problem that I cannot fix:
The Apple Watch complication does not show the airport as selected on the Flight Clip on the phone.
It shows only SFO and LHR, the default ones for the app. Looks like it doesn’t update from the phone.
iOS 14, WatchOS 7, tried everything, from reinstall eto reset 🙁
Update:
Just got message from developer, he is trying to fix it. That is great news, would make the App perfect👍
The suggested procedure to restart the App did not work either🙁
That’s what I call great support !!
Developer just updated App to fix issue mentioned above!!
Working flawlessly now 👍
