The Love Book Reviews

I adore TheLoveBook. I sometimes use it to meditate when I need a soothing, British voice to help me zone out. I also use it to lull me to sleep, much like a lullaby. The only thing I wish I could do with it is hit Play All on My Faves that I have saved, like we can on all of the poems, and listen to those without stop. Also, being able to organize My Faves would be lovely, sometimes I like listening to the same voice for awhile, or the same poet, so having all of my favorite Shakespeare items in one Favorites section, and all of my favorite Tom Hiddleston or Emma Watson read poems in another would be lovely, for example. Other than that, I use it nearly as frequently as my social media apps--and I certainly cannot say that about many other apps.

I just bought TheLoveBook a few days ago, and I absolutely love it. I love poetry (meeting Billy Collins in college was like meeting a rock star to me). TheLoveBook not only introduced me to new poems, but the actors reading them brought them to life in a new way. The write your own/record your own poem feature saved everything perfectly. I hope there will be more recordings coming soon. I would love to open up TheLoveBook and hear Benedict Cumberbatch reading "The Good Morrow," or Ewan McGregor, David Tennant or Robbie Coltrane reading Robert Burns.

I bought this lovely app because it combines my love of poetry and Tom Hiddleston :) TheLoveBook allows you to record the poem or listen to the actors/actresses read it for you. The visuals on TheLoveBook is appealing and fun. Thank you for such an app now if you'll excuse me I'm off to listen to Tom Hiddleston read my favorite poem via this great app :)

A great compilation of poetry. I love getting to hear some recited- a part of me wishes even more had been! It also introduces you to some you may have never heard before.. Bravo!! I do hope there is an update one day with more!!

Simply that; please update TheLoveBook for the new iOS. This is by far my favorite app and would be gutted to no longer have it for such a silly reason as this.

Wonderful selection of poetry, prose, and quotes. Sadly it hasn't been updated in a long time so it is very slow nowadays but no less enjoyable.

Title is self explanatory

I wish they would come out with an audiobook. Listening to Tom Hiddleston read Tennyson was a pleasure not to be missed.

The concept is amazing, however it won’t let me connect to my Bluetooth, rather it be a speaker or my AirPods. I had so wanted to just relax and listen to this with my earphones and can’t.

Under the MY LOVE BOOK (write a poem!) tab, my poems never save. I write a poem, save it, and look back to see if my poem is there. It isn't! The title and author are there, but nothing I wrote. Please fix!

When I discovered TheLoveBook it just about made my night. What could be better than listening to Tom Hiddleston reading love poems to me? Not to mention, he reads from some of my favorite early modern poets (Donne and Shakespeare). Unfortunately, TheLoveBook crashes very frequently. I have yet to be able to listen to more than two poems in a row before it does. I've notices that several other reviewers have been having the same issue. Please fix!

Tongue tied with love but can't seem to find the right words? Verses for any and all romantic occasions, along with the ability to record those lines of love in your own voice, can be found in TheLoveBook.

If you're not into that whole "reading" thing, TheLoveBook also gives you the option of listening to some of history's best poetry read by the likes of Damian Lewis, Helen McCrory, Gina Bellman, Helena Bonham Carter and Tom Hiddleston.

Buy this instead of another version of Angry Birds. You'll find it much more soothing to the soul.

I absolutely love being able to poetry being read aloud and the actors who have done recordings make TheLoveBook more than worth it. I hope to be able to listen to more of the poems with future updates!

I found some major problems with the portion of TheLoveBook that allows you to add poems. It's next to impossible to type in the space given, and trying to edit the text completely deletes everything that's been written. When I tried to add a poem later, I hit save but the poem was no where to be found.

I love TheLoveBook. It is so beautiful and so sweet. All the voice actors are amazing. I hope that the little glitches get fixed soon. It closes on me whenever I try to scroll through the poem categories. It also randomly cuts out sometimes when I hit the back button. Please! Please! Fix! It is such a beautiful app. I would love to enjoy it at its best. :)

I love TheLoveBook so much! Everyone's voice is soothing and goes with all the poems nicely. But, one thing I wish TheLoveBook was able to do is for the audio to continue playing when you leave the page you're on/ continue playing when you exit TheLoveBook . That would be awesome if you we're able to do that! Overall, TheLoveBook is amazing!!!

The Love Book app has an incredible selection of poetry, prose, and quotes to choose and also a section to create and record your own. There are also many talents reading selections and breathing life into the words. As a poet, it is always inspiration to read and hear others. More than worth it! (And Tom Hiddleston reading Shakespeare and Tennessee Williams in a Southern drawl is a nice bonus.)

Other than not being able to listen when the phone is locked, TheLoveBook is everything I wanted. Listening while phone is locked and playing all favorites would be the improvements I would request. Keep it up!

I love that the love book isn't just sappy poems there's a variety of quotes and the range of love from wanting it to being over it.

My only issues are the random closes and that in the section where you can write poems it only seems to save the first one.

This is by far the best $2.99 I've spent in my life. Full disclosure, I initially just bought it just to hear Tom Hiddleston read Auden, but there is so much more to this (although listening to As I Walked Out One Evening over, and over, and over again is quite the selling point). Brilliant app.
