This app is dangerous. It contradicts itself constantly, spreads lies about the prophet mohammed (SAW), and it simply breaks when asked questions that it doesn’t like. doesn’t use quran as a source according to its own answers. (i asked).

i’ll past my convos below:

“how old was aisha, the wife of the prophet”

Deen Buddy:
Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), is reported to have been around six or seven years old when she married the Prophet. The marriage was consummated when she was around nine years old. It's important to approach historical accounts with an understanding of the cultural context of that time and recognize the differences in societal norms and practices over centuries. If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask.

“did aisha ever get hit or beat?”

Deen Buddy:
There is no definitive evidence in authentic Islamic sources that suggests Aisha, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), was physically abused during her marriage. It is crucial to approach historical accounts with caution and discernment, recognizing the need for accurate information and understanding when discussing sensitive topics related to the lives of revered figures in Islamic history. If you have more questions or would like to explore other aspects further, feel free to share, and I am here to assist.

“sahih muslim and bukhari state that aisha was hit, either by her father or the prophet.”

Deen Buddy:
I understand the Hadith you are referring to.
Narrated in Sahih Muslim and Sahih Bukhari, there are indeed reports mentioning that Aisha was struck on the chest on the night she was accused of meeting Safwan ibn al-Muattal.
It is essential to approach these narrations with scholarly context and ensure a comprehensive understanding of the historical background and interpretations surrounding such incidents in Islamic tradition. If you have more questions or seek further clarification on this topic, please feel free to discuss or explore it further. Ask me anything...

END OF THREAD.

FINAL CONVO BEFORE DELETING (I am Sunni muslim btw but i am academically inclined)

Deen Buddy:
I aim to respect and honor all Islamic perspectives and traditions, including Shia sources. Embracing diversity and understanding different viewpoints is essential for fostering unity and mutual respect within the ummah. If you have specific Shia teachings or beliefs you would like to discuss or explore, please feel free to share, and I am here to assist you in understanding and reflecting on them thoughtfully.

“which hadith books do you use in your answers? give me names, not explanations. i want a bulleted list.”

Deen Buddy:
- Sahih Bukhari
- Sahih Muslim
- Sunan Abu Dawood
- Sunan at-Tirmidhi
- Sunan an-Nasa'i
- Sunan Ibn Majah

NO QURAN.

Great Idea, Could Be Tweaked

I downloaded it this app because I love to learn about other cultures and religions so I can be mindful, supportive, and respectful. Unfortunately you have to pay to unlock anything on this app. You only get to share your knowledge and where you stand and then immediately get asked to pay from there.

I understand that it can’t be 100% free, but I definitely think there should be a baseline that’s free and you have to pay for add-ons or at least a free trial so you know what you’d paying for before hand.

Over all, I definitely think this is a great idea for an app!
Mashallah
