The latest update really botched the graphic design and beauty of the widgets. The update changed the widgets to be fully expanded out to the edges of the box. It lost all the white space that made them look good. I used this almost exclusively because of the well thought out design and this new widget design unfortunately breaks that. Was a 5 star app but when you change your graphic design so poorly I have to change it to 2 stars.

Has been happening a few days in a row, where after launching Left it’d just show a white or black screen. Quitting and relaunching Left or restarting my phone doesn’t help. The issue usually resolves itself after a while but comes back after some time.

Edit: I think the dev responded a while ago saying this issue has been fixed. However, while this exact issue has indeed gone, I’m still experiencing freezing and crashing very frequently, usually when opening Left after it’s been idling in the background for a while. Closing Left and relaunching does not resolve the issue either. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Left seems to (inappropriately) pre-determine your lifespan. I’m 34, and it says I’ll live until I’m 83, so that I have 59% of my life this app. That’s not a very optimistic prospect lol. I’d prefer that Left either lets you choose what age “you” think you’ll make it to (rather than Left ), or have it set to a default of 100 (which is how I think most people perceive their lifespan). Otherwise, this feels like a prediction about how long you’ll live for, and I’m definitely much more optimistic about my remaining lifespan. Kind of a bummer.

Amazing and exactly what I was looking for. Just needs some functions to get past half baked. Like notes is so bare bones, gotta hit enter so I can read the full note. A calendar scroll for notes would be neat. Removing photo from a card doesn’t work at the moment. And let me input my own death age manually.
The blocks that fill in is really great but I HATE that it starts from the right going this app and also that it isn’t perfectly aligned there’s an extra 2 on the right side for no reason. Why not 10 x 10 rows? Lastly, the your life in stages would be really cool if it was actually useful. Like if everything in track could be plugged into it and give me a look at how I spend my time that way?

I’d like to hold onto Left for the rest of my life and I don’t regret the purchase. Pretty pls consider these suggestions. Thank u!

I like Left overall and paid to unlock the extra features. My only gripe is that one of the widgets counting down the month looks deceptively like a calendar but the dots don’t line up with the days, they’re just a countdown. If there was a way to just offset the dots for the start of the month/have a calendar view that’d be awesome and Left would be perfect. I’ve been using the widget on my Home Screen for a couple weeks and thought it was a calendar the whole time until I looked really closely after being confused that the end of this month wasn’t on a Monday like it looks on the widget.

Great concept, but needs a tweak! The "Custom days this app" feature is awesome, but the calculation isn't accurate. It counts from the start date instead of automatically deducting passed days. Would be perfect if it just used the expected date and calculated the days this app from there. Hope Cristian sees this and updates it! Can't wait for the next version.

The idea is great; however, the implementation could be improved by allowing more customization options in the settings, such as how it renders on the home screen, color themes, and live updates. Currently, it feels too schematic. For example, when placed on the home desktop, it only displays the number of days this app in the year, which is not very meaningful or helpful for me personally.

I really love the widgets to keep track of the progress of hours, days, months etc. They’re minimal and really useful. However, it seems that every time Left is updated, a new bug is introduced almost without fail. As a dev myself, I know this can sometimes be hard to catch as new features are added, but as an user my experience has been frustrating as have to keep dealing with the bugs and hope it’s fixed in the next update. I hope you can consider adding some kind of bug report feature so we can let you know when something is not quite right. As for everything else, keep it up. I truly believe you have something special here.

I love Left . Very minimal; However, I don’t like how nearly every useful feature is locked behind a. Paywall. Given it is a very small paywall at just $0.99. I also have a feature request. For the widget, there should be an option for transparency and uploading a screenshot of an empty page in jiggle mode. I use many widgets in a stack in my home screen and it kind of breaks the illusion.

I like the simplicity and design of Left and how the experience and features continue to improve. I also appreciate how prompt and responsive the developer is to any of my feedback. I think it was worth it to become a lifetime premium member.

The dev really keeps making Left better with every update. Absolutely worth every penny!
The widgets from Left are what really got me hooked. They provide quick glances at different things I like to keep track in a perfectly minimal way.

Very cool way to see what’s this app of the day/month/year/life! Widgets look pleasant also. Premium isn’t necessary but I think it’s worth it to support the dev and for the light customization.

Feature request - I wish I could choose when the day ends, for the ‘Day’ widget.

Edit: I don’t know if the developer saw this but they added it and Left is literally perfect now!!! I really like Left and it’s easy to use I will change it to 5 stars if the developer adds an option for the Custom Date Widget to have the dots like the other widgets can. Right now it just displays days this app.

Great widgets that make my home screen look aesthetically pleasing. However one thing I would love to have a setting to set Sunday as the start of the week as it’s the beginning of the week in my region. Other than that everything is perfect. Would love to see that in a future update.

The addition of counting habits and non-daily habits is really good, and day after day the overall experience becomes better and better. One important feature that would make it even better is the ability to create an account to save progress and data, and to sync it across multiple iPhones, which would be very useful for long-term use. I made the mistake of paying for the full version of Left before even checking out all the features. I’d rather not request a refund because Left itself looks neat, just like everyone says. May I suggest a widget where you can set minutes for a certain period? Example: how much time you have between now and a specific time of the day? I wanted to use Left for my son who has ADHD and has a hard time thinking about the passage of time/how much time is this app for a task. thanks!

Left is a testament to how great apps can be! Simple, less size, no tracking / subscription, and so on.. Widgets for Left are also great! I really wish Left is recommended in App Store or more easily findable on App Store! Came across Left on X (Twitter).
Feedback: I’m surprised that I can’t search for Left by name and find it easily in the search results. Is it because I already installed it? Still, it should show up in the results and have the Open button instead of Download, right? All recommendations are for other apps that are similar sounding (like Lyft) or that have the name this app as a part of the title.

I really enjoy Left and even purchased it. I’m mainly just using this review to file a bug since the Day broken down widget doesn’t work on my iPhone16 on 18.1.1. Will update this to 5 stars once thats working.

Edit: Widget issue fixed, 5 stars
