Its clear to me that what color the screws AND boxes are is, to an unacceptable degree, random. The reason I’m sure is A) if you start a level, fail, & restart, both will be different B) I’ve gotten a puzzle that was clearly unwinnable without the ad-powered “boosts” from the outset. A puzzle where I had two same-color “boxes” of three to fill, but only two screws of that color available, & no way to uncover more within the necessary amount of moves.
I’m sure there’s some sort of algorithm in place to prevent that, but it seems to do its job poorly.
Speaking of those ad-powered “boosts”, it often won’t register that I have, in fact, watched an ad, meaning it’s not uncommon for me to have to watch up to three before I actually get the “boost”.
Aside from that, it’s an aesthetically appealing, fun game, & when the algorithms that arrange the screws & decide what color of box to provide do their jobs properly, it’s one of the better screw puzzle games. But that’s a low bar to cross.
