Wish I could actually rate Xogot itself but due to the insanely high cost for a port of an open source engine, as well as very concerning items in the ToS, I cannot. I’ll keep it simple, the cost is way too high. I understand there is dev hours spent porting it, but the engine is open source, and $30 a year is way too high for the convenience of using it on iPad. Next the ToS has multiple concerning sections about how this app gains a royalty-free license to your game and the right to redistribute it as they see fit. They say it is just to facilitate Xogot but if they can charge this much for open source, I don’t trust them not to try and resell your games. Avoid at all costs and hope godot make their own iPad version.

To say this is free is a lie. They make you pay to access any programming features. Can’t see how any real person rates this high when from the start they lie to you. Probably bot or paid reviews. Godot is open source. Profiting from it by giving it an iPad interface and making it a free download with a pay wall is dirty.

I downloaded Xogot believing I’d be able to try out the functionality to make sure it had what I needed compared to Godot but I don’t see any way to start a project without paying $50 and then that’s only for a 1 year subscription? Very misleading.

The first time I downloaded Xogot , it showed a price of $25. I was considering whether to purchase it, but when I opened it the next day, it had suddenly changed to $50. That completely killed my desire to buy it.

Entiendo y valoro profundamente el trabajo de los desarrolladores; es justo que reciban una compensación por su esfuerzo. Sin embargo, resulta francamente desconcertante ver cómo una aplicación emblemática, conocida durante años por ser de acceso libre, ha adoptado un modelo de suscripción que supera incluso el costo de herramientas profesionales ampliamente reconocidas en el ecosistema del iPad.

No estaría escribiendo esta reseña si se tratara de un pago único. Pero imponer una tarifa anual de 50 dólares resulta excesivo, por no decir desconectado de la realidad de muchos usuarios. Además, intentar disfrazar esta suscripción como un compromiso único o poco significativo raya en la desinformación.

Es profundamente lamentable abrir una app que solía representar libertad e innovación, solo para encontrarse con esta nueva y restrictiva realidad. Una transformación así no solo sorprende, desilusiona.

Just remove in app purchase so we dont need to pay ughhh then i will give this thing a 5 star review ok ok ok i got the free trial maybe make it last 5 weeks

I'm a big fan of Miguel. With that said, the pricing is scaring people away from this amazing app. Make it like $10 per year or $50 lifetime unlock and you will have 10x as many people using it, plus better reviews. Shooting yourself in the foot with the greedy pricing.

It’s a good app despite the hidden paywall
