The duck duck go and Tumblr is not supported and many apps something.

Always need to pay for every little thing on iPhones. This is not a special app, just basic at best. Absolute rip off

#1 Buttons at bottom of screen are inaccessible on iPhone 8. Can’t click ‘continue’ because button is off the screen. Used back arrow to return to App store to uninstall app.
#2 - app instantly asks for review after app is installed but before having accessed AppLock to test even once. Ask after not before.

Worst application, I cancelled it within ,omemts and I can’t get the contact information for this company. DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR ATTEMPT TO ADD THIS APPLICATION TO GOUR APPLE DEVICES. IT DOES NOT work at all. A huge Mess.

I downloaded AppLock even tho it does everything you can pretty much do on screen time but I kept it around for the locking app feature that worked for free… now all of a sudden I get some money put in my Apple account and they charged me for a whole year…!

You shouldn’t have the whole app locked down just to make someone pay. Because you need to let them have some features like the scheduled lockout for free it just stupid to me

Worthless app

There are in app purchases and when u unlock it , it doesn’t unlock and get glitchy and doesn’t open the locked app

I wish scheduling was built in rather than promoting a separate app. And they’re too aggressive with the subscription push. I just wanna block Slack after work hours; I don’t get why that requires two apps and a subscription.

They let you lock apps once, then they make you get a subscription or watch an ad, which really cheapens the user experience.

AppLock is really good but $30 for a mere yearly subscription? I think $20 is more consumer friendly. It is very overpriced or at least it would be reasonable for $30 to be a lifetime subscription

AppLock would’ve been way better if there was an option where the apps are unlocked when you unlock them, the time isn’t really effective but besides that it’s amazing I just don’t like the timers. Make it untill ones want to unlock everything

Block doesn’t persist across phone restarts. If someone glances over your shoulder and sees your iPhone passcode, they can then acquire your phone and App Lock will be useless to protect your sensitive apps from being accessed by them since they can just restart your phone

If you restart your iPhone 📲AppLock lock won’t lock the apps that are supposed to be lock 🔒the apps are vulnerable for a few seconds and that all it takes. Just saying

It works on locking apps. That’s what I’m using it for. The only issue is, when it’s active, you can’t delete anything. On top of AppLock I also have parental controls on the phone. So I now have to input 2 passwords to get to be able to delete things.

I was hoping AppLock would allow me to put FaceID locks on all my work applications so that each time one is opened, it would need to pass FaceID unlock, but that’s not quite how it works due to the limitations Apple places on developers. When you unlock a locked app, it instead opens AppLock lock application, and the application you actually want to use is unlocked for five minutes, and you then have to return to AppLock you wanted.

It is a pretty creative use of screen time to almost sort of do what I want, but it’s a little too clunky for me to pay 30 bucks a year for what seems like a hacky workaround of Apple’s restrictions. I ended my trial pretty quickly.

Just tried this out and my first assumption was: all the thief needs to do is to delete the lock app and then they have access to everything that was locked. Nope! Your only option is to remove it from the Home Screen. As long as AppLock is “on” (locking apps), you cannot delete it. Cool. I like this.

Now for the downside. In order to use any of the apps that you’ve locked you have to first open up AppLock, turn off the locks for all your apps, then use your previously locked app(s), then you have to go back to AppLock to re-enable the lock. There should be a way to open a locked app and then enter a pin or face/Touch ID to access it (much how apps with this built-in operate). This is too cumbersome and too many steps for frequently used apps. I don’t like this.

What this is great for is apps that don’t offer this additional level of protection. Thankfully a lot of apps do (like bank apps) do. This uses Apple’s screen time functionality to lock you out of the apps you choose which is great, but again.. too many steps. The developer needs to work with Apple to find a way to bypass the lock without having to do the round trip steps.

I’m gonna pass until there is something super sensitive that I have to lock out if my phone is stolen. The annual price isn’t bad… don’t raise it!

AppLock is great but you can only let it last for 30 mins max on the free version. Which I completely understand but I do feel 30 minutes is a bit short even for the free version

This will only waste your time, if you click the free option it will force you to log in the Apple ID, but there are two options: Cancel or Buy. And if you cancel it, will send you back to the homepage

Edit: nvm, there was a skip button, and I think AppLock is actually pretty unique, but a little limited (updated to 4 stars)

I bought the paid version. In response to a previous review regarding the free version: think about the value of your private information. The price of the pro version is WELL worth the cost of the upgrade.

The tweaks: Say you use the facial recognition (FR) feature of iOS to unlock an app you have locked down. FR evaluates your face, matches it, and redirects you to App Lock.

I am using AppLock on an iPhone 15 Pro. My text display is set to large. Also I’ll refer to the control that displays the name of AppLock you were just using as the “back” text. I’m unaware of the proper name.

Tweak number one: If you have a larger font set, the prompt that tells you to hit the “back” text is too large for the space it occupies. Consider making the prompt legible in such cases.

Tweak number two: Allow that prompt to go away, either by expiration after a small number of uses or via toggle in settings. Once people catch on about how to use AppLock , perhaps they don’t need to be continually shown.

Tweak number three: If the Dynamic Island is in use, the “back” text disappears. The current effect is now you have a prompt pointing to a control that isn’t there. Users must resort to swiping up and re-entering AppLock they attempted to open; it is now unlocked.

Would give 5 stars but I hate that every time it turns off, the Home Screen layout gets scrambled. I have my apps organized so I can easily reach certain ones and this makes it hard for me to find things. Also, If you have a widget stack setup, App Blocker also resets those and will move them around so you have to add everything back. Super frustrating…. Otherwise great app.

This is useless. the conceal app feature doesn’t even hide AppLock locker app itself as advertised. you can’t go on a session and then turn it off then turn it back on just in case you were trying to add another app or remove an app to use it. you have to pay for that. or watch an ad. AppLock is for security and yet I have to pay them to even use the FREE app they put on AppLock Store.

I have a few suggestions, please allow a feature to conceal app lock, or to block app lock for a certain amount of time.

Ads Ads ADS! If u dont got premium u will DEFINITELY Complain a lot But i do like AppLock
It lockes your apps so u get some privacy
and there is even a feature that u can NOT delete your apps That is Nice u got to download AppLock l

You are limited to only 2-3 locks until you have to buy the Premium, I ain't doing that. So don't use AppLock

I recently got AppLock, and it was life-changing. I have older siblings that try going for my stuff all the time so I can just lock it and keep my stuff private. AppLock is amazing. I totally recommend downloading. 😀
