It worked well for a few days with no issues. Now app stopped working even after I deleted, restarted phone, it still doesn’t load and no real Way to get back to previous state where my apps aren’t hidden. I don’t have a way to recover app once it crashes. Don’t use until there’s a way to recover

When I put my password in, more often then not, Cape freezes on the enter password screen and after waiting afew moments Cape just shuts down. Very disappointing because I loved Cape! Please fix bugs! I paid for the premium version please fix this issue!

Also just a suggestion, you should have the option to change the name of the cloak app not just to icon.

I made a review over Cape before and almost immediately my issue was handled, but for the past couple of days my apps have been failing to disappear when I push hide. I have also noticed that once I push hide my notifications are no longer silenced, before I would be able to push the hide button and have my apps hidden and my notifications for those apps silenced. I’ve been using Cape for a long time and want to continue using Cape. If the creators see this please fix.

Cape is great at what it does and I use the widget for hiding and unlocking my app group all the time. However, after this latest update the widget doesn’t work anymore, and instead I have to go into Cape every time I want to do hide or unlock my app group. Please fix this, as this has become inconvenient.

After hiding my apps, the apps’ icon are still show up in App Library. It takes some time for those app icon to disappear. I think this is a big bug need to be fixed.

I am not sure this review will be seen by developers, but unusable email function will make user unable to get in touch with developers.

Hello.. Cape was so good than the update now because before it was hiding the icons of Cape i was hiding but now after I updated the this app now they show the icons on the Home Screen.. please can you fix that soon? Because it makes problems for me i have to restart my phone each time for hiding the icons on Home Screen.. please fix it soon.

I recommend Cape to so many people. It’s a great, basic app that allows you to hide apps from your phone without deleting. It’s great for establishing work/life balance and keeping social media times down. There’s just a few features missing that I try inn would make it perfect:

1. The ability to indefinitely hide things - my work apps all reappear every day so I still have to delete them when I’m on vacation.
2. A warning notification. Keeping TikTok time down is great but I never know when it’s about to happen so it often cuts me off mid video. I wish I got a warning I only had so much time left.

Otherwise it’s a great app!

Cape freezes turninhg the screen black from time to time. Had to reinstall but passing some time of use, it freezes again. I’m using the last version of IOS. Please fix the problem. It’s a great app but the problem is persistent.

I set Cape to hide after running Cape for the first time, and then Cape store icon was lost at the same time. After selecting unhide, the icon is still not found. And when I choose to long press any app icon and select delete, the option to remove Cape does not appear, only the option to delete from the home screen. It wasn't until I closed cloak within the screen limits and opened it again that Cape store icon was restored. This is a very weird and maddening bug

I enjoy paying for Cape, but one thing is can we decide to change the default name of Cape also give us a large option of icon to choose as its default logo
That’s the only thing missing

Cape has been literally perfect up until now it’s bugging like crazy everytime I try to hide the apps and close this app with the apps closed it still is showing the apps and that’s a huge problem. I don’t know why it started this but if someone can please fix this it would mean alot I hope the producers get this fixed soon

I was skeptical at first but it’s worth the money for it Cape to hide out set screen times. Plus it’s a one time fee. Can’t beat that’ download and enjoy your privacy. The free one is 3 but you buy for 7.99 get up to 50.

This is a must have app if you want some app privacy. At $8 it’s extremely affordable for the pro version, 1 x purchase, and the free version is great too. I hope they add vaults in the future so I can add pics, phone numbers, and notes and it will be perfect.

So my mom is insanely restrictive and doesn’t allow any game on the phone everything on Cape is worth the money
But the only thing wish was thing is some sort of danger zone? Like becuz my parents are so restrictive I wouldn’t want them to find out about Cape and others, so developers I hope you see this so you can add some sorta danger zone where Cape “cloak” and my other apps on entry of the danger zone and WILL NOT IN NO WAY BE possible for the to come back while in the DZ.
Dear developers I hope you see this because I really need this to be a thing, plz don’t make it cost more I’ve already paid everything I could on ur app.

Cape is incredible for hide things from your parents, the only thing I don’t like it’s the re-ordering of the apps in iPad os so if the developers see this I will love if you guys try to quit that

If you are looking for something to easily hide your apps look no further. Cape has everything you need and things you didn’t know you needed.
One time payment worth every penny.

I love how Cape completely hides apps for free and there is a one time payment for added security, but when I lock apps, the apps still shows up in my app library (they won’t load) and I have to relock the apps or turn off my phone to get the apps to disappear. My guess this is a bug/glitch. I hope this could be fixed in the next update

As someone with strict parents who has them check their phones constantly, this helped SO MUCH. Now I don’t need to use calculator vaults or anything annoying like that, it’s very protective and good if you wanna have privacy from your parents. And soon my parents are gonna check my phone so I’m glad Apple made Cape. <3

Also iOS 18 out you might wanna update it more iOS added lock apps but the feature you guys have where you hide Cape and unhide, urs stays where it was before. I think that’s pretty cool

I use Cape for notes too. I write some important and relevant information but with the most recent update that information was deleted without my consent. If you have something for recovery my notes?

I use Cape a lot to hide stuff from my mom, since she’s terrifying. I wish the password of the notes app was free, but beggars can’t be choosers. I might pay for it in the future, who knows. I just wish it’d be able to hide apps from screen time, as in if my mom has a restriction on how much I can use my phone. I don’t know how that would be possible, but I think it’d be cool. 10/10 app though

You might not see this but Cape is great and it does everything that I learned it can do like if you want to not let it be deleted go to settings in Cape but one thing is if the developer can add or tell me how to do is when I hide the apps I can’t get into them without revealing them and it gets kinda messy because then I have to hide it again and I want to ask if you can access the apps when your in Cape because what if I’m using an app and someone asks me to see my phone right then and there it’s gonna be a little suspicious if I take like 30 seconds to hide all the apps but whatever it’s just a suggestion

Hi it was a great and useful app but when i update it if got bug or glitch . When i tap on social section it wont show the apps never show it so i wont choose Cape to hide or any other section plz help❤️

It is the most useful app to exist.
Especially if you have strict parents checking you’re phone. For only $7 for premium only once is a steal. Would recommend 10/10.

The only things I would want free is the option to make it a notes app because my mom is super restrictive and goes through everything, she went out of her way to call the cops on my friends family because she was doing bad things, and almost got put in juvie(it’s nothing to bad, every teenager does it) I can’t even text people on messages anymore because she can see it all so I have to hide apps to text people and I don’t like hiding things from her, but I gotta do what I gotta do.

Dear developers after hiding the apps i want hidden,i tried deleting the cloak app and it easily deleted without asking for a password or any form of security and all the apps i hid appeared back again..... Kindly add that feature to it as well please its very important..... The cloak app should request for a password when the delete button is pressed.... Thanks in advance

I’m not allowed to have tiktok or Snapchat and Cape completely erases this from you're device.I’ve tried to fine it when I turned on hidden mode and the only way is if they check the screen time on your phone and look at the apps

It hid my apps off my Home Screen and library, but it costs money to hide them in Cape , users would be much happier and there would be more of them if this didn’t cost money.

my parents r insanely struck about having no social media with Cape i have been able to get ride of all the apps i can’t have on my phone in seconds thanks cloak for saving me love u queen

I use Cloak to hide all of my banking and investment apps. Another layer in the onion of security and obscurity. I hope the developer comes up with a way to hide the Cloak app name. This should prevent any phone thief from getting into my accounts.

This is my first review ever. I never do this but Cape truly deserves it. It does exactly what you need it to. So simple and yet so effective. From a fellow developer, hats off to the developers. You’ve made a great product.

So let’s just get this over with, if you have strict parents, this is Cape FOR YOU 🫵. If you have iOS 16 then you might want to add this onto your widgets for fast access if your parents are trying to take your phone from you In a rush. Though Cape only allows you to hide 3 apps at a time without the membership, 3 apps may be more then enough for some people. JUST TRY Cape OUT I PROMISE IT MIGHT BE WORTH YOUR TIME ‼️

Is there a way I can reset my password on Cape I tried login to my clock app and it’s keep saying wrong passcode. I have tried it More than 24hrs and it’s still not working. Please advice

Just a quick feature request. Make it so we can hide the Cloak app itself. Since the other icons are for premium users

On the subscribed cloak app, I disabled Face ID and I am now unable to access the locked apps even after inputting the password. Only the notes app appears now. I need a solution asap please

Easy to use and a solid app with the free version, but the paid version is epic. Very user friendly and Cape is privacy respecting. I highly recommend

Honestly before downloading Cape and seeing that it doesn’t collect any data I was skeptical. Then after install and set up, seeing how beautifully crafted Cape was and how flawlessly it operates, I was even more on the fence. Go to the developers privacy policy page to find out they don’t collect not even a % of data about the user which I admire so much for such an amazing app. The developer seriously needs a reward of some sorts like the idea is perfect, so many real life uses for Cape. Especially if you like to keep your data secured and hidden while sharing your phone with family or friends or fugg even messing around on your partner ;)

my parents are super over protective and will randomly check my phone any time and i’m not allowed to have snapchat, tiktok, or bereal. Cape has kept me safe from getting exposed all the time. if i’m driving with my parents i turn it on right before i leave and no notifications pop up and Cape icons are in Cape library or home screen

I have also learned to hide the cloak app:

Settings>Cloak>Siri and Suggestions> Switch all toggles

Then when on home screen swipe all the way to the search area and hold down the Cloak Shortcuts and it will say hide short cuts

Hopefully this helps some people who don’t understand their parents rules like i do.

This is a great app, as it gives me as a parent the options I need to control/hide apps on my phone and also control the time used per app. The only limitation so far is the fact that when I unhide an app that was initially in a folder, it returns to the home screen, not to the folder. This becomes inconvenient when I unhide several apps and I get my previously organized home screen messed up. I hope the developers consider adding this feature. But even without it, I think Cape deserves a 5-star rating.
