Love Paradise - Merge Makeover Reviews

my main issue with this is the weird obsession around ugly vs pretty language. like you can do a makeover game without implying that the "before" state the characters are in is hideous and unlovable, especially when sometimes the before state is just a woman who isn't wearing makeup.

but even this aside, there's not much making this game more enjoyable than other merge games. the graphics are mediocre, there's no editing done on the scripts, and there are really unnecessary bugs (like the main character popping up to say how good she herself looks when you do another step of the makeover, but you're currently making over a sibling of another character - the game shouldn't have a problem knowing which character is currently being made over).

the energy depletes extremely fast and the free items in game don't do anything to make up for that OR encourage me to spend money to buy paid items, either. there's also a steep curve to how much you get in exchange for the items you merge - it starts out doable and instead of getting challenging it gets impossible to merge even one high enough level item before energy runs out. yes, games like these can be played briefly and the idle feature is part of them, but they shouldn't be completely unusable after two minutes because of energy depletion and extreme item inflation with each "order" you fill.

this game is honestly my favorite game at the moment. i’ve worked on it for about a week now. i’m on the third person and i feel like it’s taken me absolutely forever. the energy depletes soooo quickly. i think you could either raise the limit to 200 where when not playing it regenerates to up to 200. or you could simply speed up the rate at which the energy produces. like i said, i love this game. but i play it for 5 minutes and have to wait another hour or two before i have a good amount of energy. i want to constantly play this game but the energy issue prevents that. also i’ve used all my gems on energy and i’m sick of the ads. i think it’d be better is we had either another way to earn energy or simply just raising the number to 200 instead of 100. i think it would also benefit to give 25-50 energy after every time you do hair makeup ect. (each step you take to the reveal). speaking of the steps, some of them are so worthless. i still enjoy them, but i think it’s more fun if we did the steps. example: rubbing the makeup on, zipping up clothes, pulling hair tie out of hair. there’s so many good aspects to this game but i personally think these changes would make it even better. thanks.

The game was fun in the beginning but now it’s almost pointless to continue to play .. the 100 energy that you start with is gone in 1 minute . Then I have to wait so long for the energy to be back to 100 . Watching the add to get 20 or 25 energy isnt worth it because that 20 is gone in about 15 seconds . The further along you get the more it cost to dress your person up but the amount of money you make completing task doesn’t increase . And lastly I have sooo many items on my board that I can’t get rid of . For example I have 8 toolbox’s (or whatever they are called) on the board an 3 in storage an I can’t sell them like I can do other items . And why an I only getting 1-4$ when I sell my items ??? I need to clear space on my board but I can’t get rid of the duplicates of the things that I don’t need ughhh

I love this game and I would rate it a 5 star, but I put four because I could not switch levels “Break up, Glow up” to “Fresh Start” because apparently I have not finished the level yet. At the level star - it shows me that I have about a quarter of 4th level to finish, but at the “Chapters” - it shows me that I have completed 100% of that level and that “A Fresh Start” is locked. I do not have any more tasks, and I do not have anything else to do, but the level still shows I didn’t finish it. I have tried fo delete and get the game again and complete everything right but it still shows the same game. I love the game and would like to keep playing it.

So if you could fix that, that would be great! :)

So I wish I could upload a screenshot of what one of the side characters says, because she discusses how someone’s girlfriend is a “stuck up b-word.” And the word “a-hole” was at the beginning of the game too in someone’s dialogue. It hasn’t been heavily vulgar, but this is a warning to parents/legal guardians about coarse language. Other than that, as far as playing the game goes it isn’t too bad. The only annoying thing is SO many ads (I get they need the money somehow, but seriously…). I think the worst ad was the Bubble Shooter game, only because they’re sponsoring a 1.4 out of 5 star rated game. It doesn’t look good for this game nor the Bubble Shooter game. So yeah. There’s my take on it.

Was playing and enjoying the game, able to ignore that most the game models are stereotypical Barbie-type figures because, y’know, it’s a cheap mobile game — I figured it wasn’t intentional. Till I got to the ONE character that was designed to have ANY kind of fat on her body. After her very first story, she gets turned down at an audition because of her “figure”. When she goes home and tells her mom that she got turned down for being fat, her mother suggests she go to the gym instead of comforting her! The game dialogue even states that the character is only 163 lbs and “never felt fat before” but decides she “should probably drop down to 150” and her mom says that’s a good place to START. Just absolutely disgusting dialogue, and genuinely borderline triggering for anyone recovering from an ED.

This is a horrible game. Makes you watch ads every minute. Pay to play games are manipulative. $105 to put your hair down!?!?! $100 to take off makeup?!?!?! Are you kidding me? All the fun of the game is gone because it’s not even about the story anymore, it’s about matching items in a board and to match those items you need energy which you do not get enough unless you watch ads or pay. There is no other way and it takes out all enjoyment. I hate it so much. ALSO THE ADS ARE AWFUL! I saw an ad about an uncle & niece relationship. It even went to show the niece when she was a baby with her uncle! It was so inappropriate I had to report it.

I honestly love this game. I check in daily and make it a point to complete the challenges for the day to get the extra $500. BUT now that I’m on level 95 everything is so expensive! One task alone is costing $1,600-1,700. It’s taking me two days with the extra boosts just to complete one task. I’m probably gonna delete it soon because it’s too much work for very little progress. This has happened to me on two other similar apps. Just because I’m advancing doesn’t mean it should get so expensive 🥲

This was my favorite game. I played it multiple times a day. I even spent the $49 to get the new player pack with the unlimited energy box. However, once you reach level 93 (player level) there are no more levels. The stories stop!!
I don’t understand why? They have posted a message saying “more levels are coming”, but it’s been almost 2 months… and nothing (sigh).
At this point, I have a ton of energy, and also a ton of diamonds from my initial $49, that I can’t do anything with..
Very disappointing, because I really really like the game.

Love the game. Playing it nonstop since I downloaded. I only didn’t give a higher rating because sometimes the main character switches to a male character for a few levels & i feel i should be able to choose. Super annoying.
Also you can watch ads for energy if you don’t want to spend a bunch of money, but a lot of the time it says there’s no video ad available to watch so I literally just have to wait to play again.

I love mobile games, so I’ve seen ads for this game countless times. I finally caved and downloaded it, I sort of wish I didn’t.

The English in the story is not good, half of it doesn’t make sense and isn’t coherent enough to follow. Which would be fine, if it didn’t market itself as an English only game.

The story’s plot is very surface level, they go on three dates and suddenly are nearly married. There is no building, no choices to be made (you only get to choose one choice when an action comes up mostly) and I personally hate the outfits, most of them don’t match, or are too loud and not very cute at all. The “villan” looks cuter and has cuter outfits then the main character which is odd.

The energy levels are so low and burn up too fast for how much you have to do for one customer. Overall, it’s okay. If you wanted a quality game, pass on this one.

I’ve been playing this game for a few months now and I’m very disappointed. I had a lot of fun but all of a sudden the stories stopped. There’s a message saying there will be new stories soon but when I checked the update history I learned they haven’t put out a new one in 4 months. The stories weren’t even that good, but I liked being able to put together outfits. I feel like it really shouldn’t be that hard to put together a story for those of us who have been waiting for a while..

When are new levels going to be released? It feels pretty dumb to be charged a subscription fee of $20 when there aren’t any more levels to complete - how is that fair? Please consider either adding more levels or removing the subscription price until new levels are added. What’s the time frame for more levels to be available? I’m currently on 93 with no levels remaining - thanks

I am surprised at all of the five star reviews. The concept of this game is fine, but the overall gameplay is inconsistent as well as unrewarding. The timing on how the different objects regenerate is inconsistent as well as a bit random. Maxing out the objects such as cotton swabs, razors, and mirrors does nothing for you or the game. Using diamonds to get better objects doesn’t change the outcome. The dialogue is generic, and the outfits/makeup are either outdated or a bit stereotypical. It’s a good busy game, but that’s all.

I was really loving this game until I bought the mega energy pack. I paid ten dollars for it and was supposed to receive 500 energy, two energy boxes, and 500 diamonds. I never received the 500 energy, I reached out to their customer help and never heard back. So that sucked. But after playing through some stories I got to one where Hera’s daughter wants to lose weight because she’s not good enough at 162 pounds (a perfectly normal weight). this story further perpetuates fat phobia and i will no longer play or recommend this game.

I enjoy this game but it takes forever to complete a task. You can watch an ad and get 25 items but most of Ty time that wont even complete part of a task so it gets old quick. Plus when you do get enough to be able to complete a task it’s like new earrings then next is new necklace it just takes a long time to be able to feel like you did anything

I got the hang of it, and got to level 94 but it is kind of disappointing that every task gets more and more expensive once you complete each but the money you make out of the merging is still the same as if I was still on level 1. Just like tasks to complete stories get more expensive, we should be getting more money for every merge task as well.

Love the game but they need to add more than two options to the battles they make it look like there’s more but it’s only club and the pajama one everything else I love but the battle is one of my fav parts I have all of the options that you can get with diamonds but it’s getting boring now with only two battle options! Please give us more than two!!!

I am level 48 and can’t move forward. I have almost $3000 that I can’t use because I can’t complete the next step simply because I don’t have a level 5 cotton. I had $0 and have gotten to $3000 trying to get the basket to get cotton. I wish there was another way to get the basket thing or some way to use diamonds instead of the level 5 cotton!!!!

Every time you start a new “story” the tasks get more expensive than the last story and they add on 1-3 more steps than the last story. To get money to advance to the next story, you either have to spend your own money, or watch 30-60 second ads to get 25 moves. Took me over an hour to watch enough ads to get up 500 moves… came back an hour later, was set back to 100 moves… where did my 400 moves and 60 minutes of time go?????????????
