Dictionary Offline - Dict Box Reviews

Used to be the best dictionary app and I used to recommend it to all my students. yet now it is full of advertising and is really not suitable enough for scholars as it used to.
The advertising pops up and takes the full screen and that prevents us from doing what we want to do until the x button shows up. Really annoying.
I hope the developers reconsider the display of the advertising, otherwise me as well as others will start looking for alternatives.

DictionaryOffline by far is the best E-V dictionary i’ve ever used. I believe I already gave DictionaryOffline five stars and still give it another five stars review.

Only one problem is bugging me right now is that I purchased the premium package but the ads still appeared on my iPad and asked me to upgrade to premium (it works on my phone, no ad whatsoever), am I supposed to buy separately? If not, please fix this.

Also, Email The Developer button doesn’t work either.

I do recommend using this dictionary because it’s full of words you need to learn by default! It’s got word reminder too. You can also install more dictionaries for a certain language and get more info on a specific word. But I’ve given it a 4-star rating due to the fact that its reminder doesn’t work properly on my iphone x after installation of the iOS 12 !
Please fix this!

So far so good...a good dictionary at the ready is very necessary for me. It responds quickly and very comprehensive. The offline feature is essential. I had purchased the Dictionary App, but it wouldn’t let me download the offline version, so I made the switch to this one. After more previewing, I’ll most likely purchase the premium. The phrases and Wikipedia definitions is also a nice feature.

Obviously there has been passion, dedication and intelligence behind this highly creative and super useful work. DictionaryOffline has never disappointed me and every time I used it I was enticed to learn even more than I originally intended to learn. Thanks to the developers for the superb quality of their craft.

every time I agree to update DictionaryOffline , it automatically removes the dictionaries I already have!

It happens every time I update, I have no clue why it does this! Fix it, mates. It is a great app, keep the good work. Thanks in advance.

Plus, When I download a lot of dictionaries, DictionaryOffline become very slow... sometimes it shut down.

This is literally the best German dictionary I’ve ever had. It has lots of examples which are quite useful. I also have a book dictionary but I don’t use it much since that doesn’t have as much examples as DictionaryOffline.
This dictionary has helped me a lot. Thank you indeed for the perfect app.

A great dictionary with many useful and collective dictionaries of more than one language. I hope the best for its developers and expect new features added by them helping enhance the translation & performance.

Have been using nothing but DictionaryOffline ever since I stumbled upon it. The latest update, which separates its translation functionality from the main app, is not as fluid as it was before said update. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. It is my go-to dictionary app nevertheless. I would love to see a dark theme someday.

I use dictionaries and encyclopedias a lot. After trying many other dictionary apps, I must commend Dict Box that is by far the most complete on iPhone. Developers should however enhance the word database.

DictionaryOffline is excellent except it auto deletes installed dictionaries all the time. The predecessor app did not have this issue, it has been happening since the first version of this new app, please fix it, so annoying.

Just as the title says , Love this guy , I used to use his previous English dictionary and although it had some issues but he updated it frequently which makes it even better and now after 4 years this universal dictionary is a gem, just Give it a shot won’t regret it hopefully.

I love DictionaryOffline and I use it all the time. It has helped me a lot at work. It’s super fast and you have the option to look up the word in many different dictionaries, all in one page.
Totally recommend DictionaryOffline to everyone.

I purchased Dict Box 2 years ago. After recent ZiOS update DictionaryOffline no longer works. I have to pay again for the exact the same app. This is fraud. I am reporting to Apple Store.

DictionaryOffline is really good. I have been using it for 4 years and it helps me a lot after I moved to the USA. It has a great flash card, pictures option and the developer keeps making improvements. For me it’s number 1 app.

I have the latest model iPad (non Pro)and latest iOS updates. I paid for the full version about $14 or $15 but it crashes all the time. Looks like DictionaryOffline rarely gets an update from its developer. Having to restart the device and delete/reinstall DictionaryOffline does not fix it. It crashes too often that it defeats the purpose of it being a dictionary. Will try to ask for a full refund soon from Apple.

DictionaryOffline is very useful and convenient! I love everything about DictionaryOffline especially how it gives you a definition and if I don’t know a word within the definition I can click it and a separate tab pops up with the definition. Awesome!

I’ve loved DictionaryOffline since I’ve had it, but lately I’m getting advertisements even though I’ve purchase the premium no ad version. More over, I’m also experiencing issue with dictionaries that I downloaded in DictionaryOffline . They keep missing and I have to redownload them again and again! It’s becoming frustrating.

Using it for almost 5 years. So helpful and easy to use.I bought the premium one because I didn’t like to see the ads. :)
