AirPlay support is unreliable

When I use AirPlay to an Airport Express, the connection is very unreliable: sometimes it won’t even see the AirPort, sometimes it will seem to connect but then nothing comes out, and sometimes the connection just drops spontaneously. I usually have to swipe away the app and start fresh to make it work, and then it often doesn’t last.
I don’t know how difficult AirPlay support is, and it’s up to Apple to make it pretty foolproof in my opinion. But I can play RP from the TuneIn Radio app for example, and I don’t experience these problems.
Love the music but annoying tech issue

RP has the best music that almost always matches what I need for my mood to stay on an even keel. I listen to it while gardening, walking the dogs, etc.
But a very annoying tech issue with my AirPods is that whenever I use RP on my iPhone, the mic on the AirPods stops working, even after closing RP. I usually have to fiddle with it, do a reboot and so on. Time consuming & if I’m expecting a call Radio Paradise is out of the question. I wish this issue would get fixed. It’s a major problem for me.

I love the programming. Eclectic with great quality. I withheld a star because on Car Play the app sometimes doesn’t sync the display with the music. Sometimes it shows the graphic for the first song when you start it but never changes after that. Not just on the car display but also on the phone. It’s a glitch I except they will sort out but the music is what it’s really all about and it’s fantastic.
