No stars

People be aware not to buy your subscription thought iTunes !!! I bought the one year subscription with a total of 37 us dollars I haven't bean able till now to download any issue it blocks at any stage and never want to continue ,by calling the publisher in England a person named Chris took my call and informed me it's because I bought it from iTunes !!!!! Sorry but what does it mean ??? That I am not suppose to trust putting money on iTunes any more ... Funny as it is I tried from my email confirmation of purchase to click on the report problem icon in blue that was directing me to I tune store and with one massage all the time cannot connect to iTunes !!!!! All the time tried over 20 times , now I am waiting to see if the publisher will be disent enough to help me with my problem ,or they will bounce me back to iTunes which seems to be impossible to report the problem too and good buy my 37 dollars subscription .. Just wanted to help any one who is about to loose money like me

How do you give Zero Stars? Total Rip-Off!

Infuriatingly stupid login. The digital magazine requires that you provide a "subscriber ID" that is included on your PRINT magazine label. But you bought this through iTunes, you say? Well, tough. You just threw away $40, because they don't send you a "subscriber ID" so that you can log in and read the magazine.

I believe this is a total fraud on iTunes users. If you must be a print subscriber to read StuffMagazine, you should not be able to buy the digital magazine on iTunes.

UPDATE: After several days, support e-mailed me instructions on how to get logged in. Basically, if you feel stuck click Cancel and get back to the beginning, then pick the opposite option option from what got you stuck. Frustrating, and still *terrible* product design, but you CAN eventually get to your mags if you are persistent.

Now that I'm in the magazine, it is a decent experience. I've always enjoyed this mag when picking it up @ B&N. The digital version really needs to be able to sense iPad orientation. I use mine in a ZaggFolio, so I always use it in Landscape orientation. That doesn't work at all with Stuff, which will only display in Portrait (unless I'm totally missing something again. possible, but when everything else auto-detects, why can't this?)

Awesome

A beautifully done app of a great magazine!

New update?

I'm not really sure what they did, but StuffMagazine is now terrible. Everything is too small and different parts of each page have to be zoomed in and out to be able to read it. It's like they were tired of making two versions—print edition and tablet edition—and just made the print version digital. No more scrolling up and down. No more tablet manipulation. Just flipping page by page just like print. Ruins the whole experience of being digital. Links also don't work. Lame.

Bad

When you subscribe for a magazine, it is probably because there is one or few more things that you truly like about it. Something unique. Well, i liked stuff top 10's and i always used it for reference whenever comparing gadgets. However, stuff suddenly decided to remove consoles top ten's and drones top 10's!!! That totally blew it off for me and i regret subscribing already! In addition to the above, they no more have interesting reviews. They no more give scores. It is hard for me to understand/justify why would any gadget guy/girl subscribe for this!!

Nice app with interactions

I thought it'd be simply a PDF like most other mags in newsstand, yet it turned out to be a an interactive one, with videos when the iPad's in landscape mode and 360' view as well. I like it. However it lags a bit when flipping pages sometimes.

Garbage

Holy Smoke is this awful. It's a scam and mind numbing at the same time. It's not free, not even partially. It lets you register...and then you see the mag for about five seconds and it goes back to register screen again, and again.....and every time you try to do it. Apple should be booting this crap.
Any positive reviews MUST be made by employees or girlfriends....there's no way someone would rate this above garbage level.

Warning.

It seems counterintuitive, from a marketing point of view, that if you're trying to get me to like your magazine, or at least one that I've never heard of, you would at least give me one or two issues for free with the download so I can see if it's for me. (Like every other app in the newsstand.)

StuffMagazine asks for your personal information, THEN informs you that you'll get nothing as a sample.

Issues are about $5 apiece, which is a lousy exchange rate with the advertised UK pice of $£2.95. (Should about $4, although this might Apple's bad attempt at banking.)

Bad manners, bad marketing = Instant delete.

It's Finally Here!!

I've been waiting for Stuff Magazine to hit Newsstand for some time. It seems fairly stable so far. Good all around app. Keep up the good work!

Can't even download sampler!

I've tried loads of times but I can't even download the sampler why would I pay for any issues? Please sort this out I love your magazine but deff not loving this!

By

Crashes and/or only loads the product test section

You'd think a tech mag could write a decent app!

Last few issues have either only contained the test section or the whole app has simply crashed on open.

By

Omg..worst app ever

Not even 1 star..its a shamefull app..i dont believe that apple allows such a crappy app to be displayed...doesnt download properly..if somehow you manage it it doesnt log in...i after 10 try you open you cannot read it..terrible..absolutly the worst app that i bought..

Rubbish and frustrating avoid avoid avoid!!!

Constantly have to reregister and when I try to read the December issue I have purchased it constantly goes back to the registration screen. Really really frustrating, wasted $4.99. Rubbish rubbish rubbish

By

Don't buy

The magazine download freezes and does not complete. I have tried it over 5 times with same issue. I want my money back!

By

Free view is scam

Free view is scam to get your info. If the free view does not work I would think there regular view would not work to.

Nothing in U.S. $

Not sure if you can get the advertised items in the U.S. it's like a Sharper Image catalog subscription for the U.K.

Bad

Stuff after there last update became garbage I am un subscribing

By

Scam -Stay Away

This was incredibly misleading. You subscribe for a year and then you are required to log in with a "subscriber code" you are never given, I have emailed several times and received no response.

This should be removed... I couldn't get back to the magazine once I closed StuffMagazine .

I never complain about anything, I simply choose not to...but this is essentially stealing.
