Plucking the belt I get anything between 39 and 87 at the same spot. Obviously not a reliable way to measure tension.

The sync drive for tandems was one of the first types of bikes to adopt Gates Carbon Drive.
But in CarbonDriveBeltTensionTool, there are settings neither for the 69/74 tooth tandem sprockets, nor the 250 tooth belt.
These options don't even appear in CarbonDriveBeltTensionTool 's catalog.
I know not what rating other Gates users will give it, but for tandem Gates drivers, it is 1 star as in useless.

Tried to use the tension meter..nope just sits there. Microphone on, allowed etc, aaaannnnndd...nothinโ.
Calculator was wrong on belt length too. Had to call the bike manufacturer to ask the right belt size. They got it right. Gates? Too short.

Crashes immediately upon launch with iPhone 6. Previous version worked fine on this same iPhone 6.

Current version crashes on launch with iPhone 6s.
Previous version was good but had difficulty getting the frequency to lock onto a reading. When it did, frequency was all over the map.

New version just crashes on launch every time :-(. iPhone 5 / iOS 8.4.

This is a really interesting idea, and double concept to check the belt tension. Unfortunately, every time I pluck the belt it resonates at a different frequency. I suppose a rule of thumb for testing manually is probably good enough.

Please update to cover the 174T belt with smaller 4bolt pulleys now being put on tandems.
Thx

This is a good tool if you donโt have access to Gates Krikit gauge or Eco Tension tester. Variations to a degree are to be expected. It is the nature of slight variations in cranks, bbโs, chainrings and sprockets.

This was an awesome idea. Gates IS the leading edge in belts. Pun not intended! Lol
