KTVN 2 News Weather App Reviews

I really like KTVN2NewsWeatherApp as far as the coverage and reliability of the weather, but there is definitely an issue where when I go to add any location it just kicked me out of KTVN2NewsWeatherApp and does not add a location. I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it several times and it still does the same thing. Disappointing because it’s a really good weather App.

If you depend on KTVN for weather, your in trouble.
KTVN2NewsWeatherApp used to be better but now even the radar map is a joke.
Right now it says it’s snowing and shows snow every hour for the rest of the day. It’s true we got maybe an inch or two overnight, but a quick look outside shows clear blue skies all over Reno and it hasn’t snowed for the last 3 hours at least.
After I’m done with this review I’m deleting KTVN2NewsWeatherApp and going back to weather bug or even the weather channel. At least they know when the sun is shining.

Although the old version was better, times they are a changing. I like the look of the new version but my gripe is when you initially open KTVN2NewsWeatherApp . It opens to the radar map. 😳 then you have to go to the drop down menu and select currents and forecast. Why?! When I open a weather app, I want the currents. Not some empty radar map. Am I missing an option to change this? Please tell me.

Like the look of the new version of the new app but I want to open to the current weather and forecast not the map. It’s really not difficult to program that so give us a choice. Come on. You can do it.

I love KTVN2NewsWeatherApp. I always feel informed, I get alerts that have been so helpful when out on the motorcycle. Plus I’ve found that this is the most accurate weather channel.

Your weather app has slowed drastically to the extend that it is no longer usable. It was my favorite app but unfortunately it is now useless.

Don't waste your time. The old CH 2 app was great! Easy to use. Easy to get the info you wanted. This one is a nightmare. Takes multiple steps to get the simplest of info. Graphics are horrible. Not user friendly in the least. Sorry I ever upgraded. Had no choice when they finally killed the old app. I will be deleting it.

The number don’t match between the 2 apps or the hourly and daily numbers. Also this text is not showing up as I am typing.

iOS 11 finally killed the old app and forced me to upgrade. KTVN2NewsWeatherApp is lousy. I agree with the other commenters about the poor quality of KTVN2NewsWeatherApp and wish they would just re-write the prior app to work with latest iOS

New version is terrible. So terrible it never even loads. Always crashes. Getting rid of it.

There is more to news than weather!

This update requires an OS of something higher than 10.3. The listing is not correct in saying that OS 10 or higher is required.

The “New” design is way worse than the original. Hire a real company to make your app.

This new KTVN weather app is awful. I loved the old one, hate hate hate this new one. All those blocks of color with no info on what they mean, hide the cities, can't find the info I need. Get rid of this. I'm uninstalling it.

From the home screen, if you select a day to get detailed weather information, it shows you the day before or after but never the day you selected. In the "Daily" section/screen if you select a day to get detailed weather information, that day literally disappears from the lineup; select another day and that one disappears and the previous missing one reappears. I have a newer iPhone, and it's updated. This used to be my favorite weather app, and there really isn't a decent replacement, so I truly hope the bugs get fixed.

I totally agree with the previous reviews..this update is a disaster...I especially hate the loss of the "hourly" forecast, and the "alerts" for my area of town..probably a lot more that I haven't noticed yet.

Ok..it's now August and several "changes" seem to have been made to KTVN2NewsWeatherApp...I'm still on the learning curve, but the improvements/changes are remarkable..I urge everyone to take another look at KTVN2NewsWeatherApp..I think you will be pleasantly surprised...Thanx KTVN...

KTVN had the best weather app until the most recent update. This updated app is lacking many features that the original app had such as choosing exact location, sunrise/sunset, weather map, weather alerts, etc. The twitter (news) feed on the weather app is out of place and should be deleted - I want to see the weather forecast not the news. PLEASE revert to old app. In the meantime I will probably delete this one and use competitors app which is more similar to the original KTVN app.

This was the best and most accurate weather app and I use it multiple times a day. The new version has less much less information and just looks cheap. The daily forecast details are gone and the hourly information is difficult to see with the new sliding bar. It is just an awful replacement to the previous versions. I was able to revert back to the old version and now I'm a happy camper, for now. Please throw this "update" into the trash where it belongs!

only have 1 location and i have to select it each time. bad app.

more interested in social networking than giving weather info. don't need to know what others are doing, just want to know if i will get rained on in the next hour. tweeter feed bad. no radar map bad. too many steps for forecast bad bad app

Must agree with other reviews. Not as easy to use, not as detailed and harder to understand. In addition, my app opens with current weather, but nothing appears until I go to another option, like radar, 7 day forecast, etc, then return to current weather. Then it works. Go back to previous version.
