No iPhone support

I currently have iPhone, and DJPlayerProfessional is not supported by current iOS. Any plans to make that work in the future?

By

Please remove subscription pop up!

DJPlayerProfessional is really awesome for scratching and mixing with one portable turntable . The split output really makes it awesome for having the scratching on one deck coming out the left and beats on the other deck coming out the right.

My only complaint is the annoying pop up that muffles the audio . its a total vibe killer.
It maybe you can have the pop up do its thing but not alter the audio out put?

When you think DJ-ing is not a joke (on iPad or iPhone)

I never write a review.

Lately I’ve extended my license with 5 more years.

Just taking my old iPad AIR2, my old DDJ-SB, headphone and powered speakers. Never had a single glitch.

Bear in mind that you HAVE TO BUY (in my case) the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter and if your controller doesn’t come with a power supply, you HAVE TO BUY an USB splitter with its own adapter/power supply. Otherwise your controller will not power up, or if it will, it will drain your iPone/iPad.

Read the Manual, DJPlayerProfessional has more than you think.

Serious mobile DVS

Read the manual, Take the time to learn, & this will be your goto.

Currently using 1 Pt-01 turntable w/ timecode record & akai amx mixer.

Works flawless!! Took a second to learn the softwares layout & use “instant doubles” but I can now do a real DJ set with a 1 deck setup.

Again read the freaking manual. It answers every question about mapping & getting the best performance of using timecode w/ a portable setup!

Great app ugly UI

DJPlayerProfessional works well But the layout is hard to use in a club setting , would be so much easier to use if the layout was cleaner simpler and better labled.

WAY TO MUCH...FUN! (And Productive)

This past weekend I played a set for a couple of hours using DJ player. It was a friends last minute birthday party, so when I got there he said he was sorry he wasn't able to get a DJ setup together since he wanted to hear me play. He asked if I brought any CDs or an iPod, to which I replied that I brought the DJ setup. I had my iPad and bag with my accessories and asked him to connect me to his stereo. A few people made some wisecracks about not wanting to listen to someone play DJ Hero. A few songs in and it was officially a party.

I have been spinning professionally since 1987 and although I would not use it for a paying gig (yet) I have started using it to listen & mix new tracks to get familiar with them. No more having to be at the decks to do so. Now I can sit just about anywhere anytime and enjoy the music.

A couple wrinkles aside it is almost flawless. BPM detection is still very hit & miss with non 4/4 tracks. And the "Constant Power" x-fader setting is anything but. But the new Loop FX panel is the ABSOLUTE DOPENESS!

Why did you removed dropbox?

Please update DJPlayerProfessional please? I will miss all the music in dropbox.

By

It’s a good app

I like the play

Not accessible for the blind

I am a blind user that uses voiceover can you fix this? Thanks

Deezer restrictions killed it.

Restrictions only allowing you to mix some tracks in Deezer killed it for me. So long, DJPP. You used to be cool.

I CALL FOR THE BOYCOTT!

Aside from your Interface & Business Model being Flawwed beyond measure. The cash grab practices and the newer interface has us long time users extremely miffed. The layout, it's ease of use, and it's asthetics were primarily why we justified coming out of our pockets $20. Not only did the developer remove DJPlayerProfessional 's long standing asthetic appeal, but they replaced the eye candy it once was with an easy on the eyes equivalent of a toxic garbage landfill.
Then, Without creating a second app to justify the MANDITORY subscription payments, these developers....theyve effectively robbed Ecah and Every one of their long time supporting customer base! The excuses they've given in other comments, for making an already-paid-for $20 app, to now suddenly require additional monthly subscription payments was lame to say the very least. Theyre reasoning is I absurd and PROPOSTEROUS! Developers....Youve indicated the cost of research, development and advertisements to be the root cause for ripping us all off? Ever heard of actually creating new products instead? How about the creation and implementation of an entirely new and separate app? Because that would absolutely be justified in requiring money to obtain and use. This just goes to show the direction some of you developers are headed in. Bankruptcy. Your company and its employees are lazy and shady. You are all trying to still eat off of an older piece of work, by ripping off those of us who bought and paid for and supported your 8 year old work. Instead of putting in the time and effort needed to recreate a newer modern program, you are stealing the invested money of original supporters and attempting to revive the cash cow you once created and sold at 20 bucks a pop. Way too shady off a business practice for your company to last much longer. May your company's sales, growth and value soon reflect the very sick, lazy, vampiric-like nature that you've displayed here in DJPlayerProfessional store. I predict you will not be permitted to steal from us again. The community surely will no longer allow you to. BOYCOTT THIS AND ANY OTHER COMPANY RESORTING TO THEFT, RATHER THAN HARD WORK AND CREATIVE INNOVATION!

Serious App for DJing, Not a Toy

If you do any research at all on iPad/iPhone apps for serious DJing, DJ Player will come up again and again and let me tell you, it's earned it's reputation. In the land of push-button DJ's, DJPlayerProfessional takes the craft back to it's roots where you actually have to work to get a good mix, and it ain't for the faint of heart. I've been DJing for 15 years, used every kind of software and hardware out there, and I feel like DJ Player is the gear I've been waiting for!

If you are considering using your iPad to DJ, this is DJPlayerProfessional you need. Tons and tons of features, user friendly layout, multiple input/output options (including wireless syncing). On top of all that, the guys at iMect give DJ Player lots of love and attention and are constantly updating DJPlayerProfessional , so you can feel confident in the middle of playing live that DJPlayerProfessional won't crash. One thing that thoroughly impressed me was the day I got DJPlayerProfessional (bought the upgraded version right out of the gate), I had a minor issue with track playback. Sent them an email with my concerns, and promptly got a reply sorting the issue out (operator error, nothing to do with DJPlayerProfessional ).

I can't recommend DJPlayerProfessional enough. Totally worth it.

Just like daft punk

DJPlayerProfessional is great, especially for a novice who is trying to learn. The overall look of DJPlayerProfessional is very sleek and simple. All of the controls were organized and placed accordingly to make it the look and feel of DJPlayerProfessional seemless. DJPlayerProfessional was difficult to understand at first, but I was able to get the hang of it after a couple of tries. I really liked how DJPlayerProfessional allows you to remix your own music from your iphone library. This was great because it gave me a selection of music that I already enjoy. I also like that I can just hook my phone up to my speakers and use DJPlayerProfessional at the same time, so it's as if I'm actually djing.

Doesn’t work

Using Akai AMX with iPhone XS Max on 12.2.
I spent almost 2 weeks testing with multiple USB power hubs, power supply’s for the hubs, USB cords, Apple authorized adaptors, sent crash reports to the developer, sent a video of my set up to the developer, tested on 2 different iPhones (also iPhone SE), restored both iPhones to factory, tested multiple Serato formats (CD vinyl & SD cards), cancelled my subscription to re add it and even purchased a brand new AMX mixer but DJPlayerProfessional still can’t find it. Everything I bought the last 2 weeks has been tested and work fine on my MPK49 but DJPP still can’t find my AMX mixer. I’ve suggested to the developers that it might be a potential bug that could be patched with an update but they they’ve only responded back with “well it should work” or “well it works with my mixer” and now they won’t email me back at all. I’ve given up and moving over to edjing/Mix Fader. The cost of a Mix Fader would have been cheaper than everything I’ve purchased to make DJPlayerProfessional try to work with my current mixer.

A fantastic tool that's fun to use.

With periodic updates that add substantial features, this has proven to be a great investment. Sure, the price is high, but if you aren't looking for a mere toy, it is worth it.

The precision with which you can set up cues and beatmatch is fantastic. And while I had grown accustomed to calculating BPM in other computer programs, DJPlayerProfessional does a great job of detecting the BPM automatically (although the option to tap out the BPM manually is here, if you need it).

DJPlayerProfessional is very versatile and fun to use. I can't recommend it enough to anyone serious about DJing. There is a steep learning curve if you've never done any real DJing, but again, if you are serious about trying to learn, you'll acquire skills that will translate to any other professional DJing solution (I say "any other", because this is a real contender, and frankly, one from which I wouldn't want to switch back).

The only real downside is that there aren't really any resources or tutorials anywhere that I've found to help with the learning curve for newbies. It may very well be daunting for a newcomer.

Oh, and the new live camera for iPad 2 is pretty cool as well (turn it on in the mixer page)!

Don't get cheated

I purchased DJ Player. I loved it. Best DJ app on the market. But one day, I open my favorite app, and find that the layout has completely changed. I was displeased, but gave it a chance. Then the music cut out, and a box asked me to register. I figured it must be a mistake, since I already paid for DJPlayerProfessional. So I emailed the developer.

Sure enough, the developer felt like the 'pay once' business model was not 'sustainable', and changed it to a monthly subscription. It wasn't a subscription service when I purchased it. The developer even referenced the Apple EULA, which basically says he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants with DJPlayerProfessional . I feel like my money was stolen, and then he has the audacity to ask for more? Bad business. Poor ethics.

All negativity aside, this is still probably the best DJ app available. But be careful when purchasing from this developer, you might wake up to find your money flushed down the drain.
