My 8 month old is obsessed with our phones, like most babies, but once she has it, there's nothing of interest to her. I have tried a number of recommended apps and all are too busy for her. We aren't using this for long stretches, mostly a few minutes while waiting somewhere, so that could be related. But AlphaBabyPlay is perfect!

Great app except that adding your own sound doesn't work was thinking of paying for the upgrade but if the demo doesn't work why should i trust them enough to pay. Would be five stars if it worked.

Awese app for preschoolers. Love how you can add your own pictures and audio for those pictures. Ex: car, boat, cat, dog etc ....

Purchased full version but it didn't stay purchased! When I changed iOS AlphaBabyPlay was deleted from my phone and my purchase was deleted now it says I have to buy it again!

AlphaBabyPlay is awesome and kids loved it. Sadly they have now outgrown it.

My sons (1 & 4) already like the Mac version of AlphaBaby, but the iPhone version is even better because the touch interface allows for a wider, and more intuitive, variety of things you can do.

In the Mac version, for those that haven't used it, typing letters or numbers make them appear on screen, while other keys make random shapes or pictures from iPhoto; clicking the mouse makes other random shapes appear, but you can't interact with anything on the screen. In this version, you can't really type, so that has to be random. But you can drag objects around, make them shrink & grow, etc. My 1 year old just tried it and was mesmerized by the way he could move things around on the screen with his fingers or toes.

As a tool for teaching letters & numbers, I suppose the Mac version with keyboard support is better. But for the younger child anyway, this one is definitely fun. (But try the Mac version, too — it's a free download & has been a favorite of ours for years.)

I got AlphaBabyPlay for my nearly two year old nephew who has thus far shown very little desire to speak. As soon as I downloaded the free version and spent thirty seconds in AlphaBabyPlay , I purchased the 99cent upgrade. Each time you touch the screen a letter (in addition to numbers, shapes, colours, even pictures you can upload, if you choose to activate those) pops up and says the sound. Multiple letters will show up at a time, depending on your settings. You can also record with your own voice for each symbol. You can resize, rotate, and flick the letters around.

My nephew loves this! He flicks the letters around with great glee, giggling with the sounds he likes most. He will pause when he sees a letter he knows, touch it over and over again to hear the sound, and then repeats it.

I am very impressed with AlphaBabyPlay, and my nephew loves it! Highly recommend, even if you aren't willing to upgrade for the special features.

Our family speak English, Hawaiian, and some Palauan and after purchasing were able to record over the words for each object (letter, shape, number, color). I wish there were an option to record multiple "words" for each object for bilingual and trilingual families.

My toddler loves to steal my iPhone. I used to be upset about it until I found this game! Now the time spent playing on my iPhone is no longer rearranging icons but educational instead! She laughs the whole time, and holds down shapes that she likes. When they change sizes, she gets really excited. Cause and effect are taught not to mention the basics of numbers, letters, and shapes. We absolutely love AlphaBabyPlay!

I love being able to record my voice over the items. The application runs smooth and like AlphaBaby for the mac is a great way to focus my toddler and infant on a simple and clean app. Nice job in adapting this for the touch interface. Educational -- good for associating names with letters numbers and whatever else you add via the photo library.

I love this because I can record my own voice. This Is great to teach my kids my own language by using the alphabet, shapes and numbers. Anyone who want to teach their kids another language can use this to record your own to teach your kids. Excellent investment for kids. Thanks for putting AlphaBabyPlay online

My 14 month old LOVES AlphaBabyPlay. It even has a feature where you can record every item in your own voice so when your baby touches the screen, it's you telling them what it is. It's one of the very few my son still wants to play after a few times. I definitely recommend it.

Only thing really missing is option for a delay to discourage "button mashing." Also, in-app upgrade isn't changing the icon. Please fix this lest my toddler take me for a cheapskate.

This is the excellent one among all our free and purchased games. Fun and suitable for toddlers. Friendly playing too! Lots of kids-game missed this important factor. Some purchased games are not worthy of the money at all - like Zaza. My 2-year old always found the answer before questions asked.

Teaching my two year-old to recognize her letters, numbers, and shapes has been fun and easy using AlphaBabyPlay! She loves it! You can also manipulate the objects as they appear on the screen to engage your child more. For example: make them larger or smaller, flick them, turn them....it's great! I highly recommend!

AlphaBabyPlay is a lot of fun for my 21 month old twins. it wasn't hard for me to upload two pictures from my library and record my own titles for them. we enjoy AlphaBabyPlay so much that I think we will upgrade to the pay-for app so that I can add more of my own content.

To the person below.... Flash cards are random.. And u shouldn't teach by repetition all the time, I don't think.. Anyone can learn a song. If ya get what i mean. It's a great app! My 2 yr old can recognize abc's, knows #1-10. &He loves AlphaBabyPlay bec it's not in repetition like every other :) my 6 mo old loves it bec it's fun to her on the iPad! Plus it's free!

I love AlphaBabyPlay!!! It's the only one so far that I have found for my 14 month old that does not have the bar at the top of the of pg that he always hit and sends it to AlphaBabyPlay store or to info pg of app! I can just hand him the phone and not have to worry! Thanks guys!!!

I like that the toddler or baby can just touch the screen and get a result..a letter, number or shape. Many of the games for toddlers are great but sometimes it is too easy for the child to touch the wrong thing and the whole game shuts down. Not so with this game, and they get immediate results! G, triangle, 3!!!!! Love it.

I LOVE AlphaBabyPlay!!!!!! I love the fact that it is ad free and that you have to hold the top corner to bring up the menu. Other apps constantly take you to an ad or iTunes. My son plays this one and doesn't wind up on iTunes. It's easy to add your own pictures and voice. AWESOME APP!!!!!!
