Battery LED! Reviews

The colors and graphics are good. However the usefulness of BatteryLED are worthless. Tells me I have forty two minutes of games when my battery is at eight percent. Tells me I have a half hour of talk time when I have maybe ten minutes at best. I can guess better at what I have left versus what this tells me. BatteryLED hasn't had an update in years. It's time to wake up developers and see the light and complaints from your customers, not just collecting money from ads.

Brings back great memories from my old iPod 3rd gen Now I have the iphone 5 BatteryLED is not updated for it yet, however I will be expecting them to update this gorgeous app soon! :D

Used BatteryLED for years. Awesome that it supports 3.1.3 and all iPhones and iPods. Does the job well.

Did not display the times for anything.I would give it zero stars if I could.

For some reason when I updated to version 4.0.3, it no longer recorded new entries in the battery status log. I tried closing and re-starting BatteryLED , but still wouldn't create new entries, although past entries created under v4.0.1 were still visible. I restored v4.0.1 from the recycle bin, and the status log creates new entries just fine again.

The status log is one of the more unique features of BatteryLED, please fix it in the next update. I'm running iOS 4.1 on a 32gb iPod Touch 3rd generation if that helps.

One of many. Does no better or worse than others at half the cost. Going to delete.

Pros
1. Pretty interface.
2. Nice predictions of time remaining for given usage (albeit accuracy is questionable).
3. Free version available so you can play before you pay.

Cons
1. Tips to extend battery life are basic and useless if you want to have even a chance at using the phone for anything other than phone calls.
2. Price for full version too high. At $2.99, I would buy AppBoxPro instead to get more for my money. At $0.99, I might buy BatteryLED for the cool graphics.
3. Accuracy is questionable especially when given a function to calibrate the battery charge. Why do I need to calibrate an app that is supposed to tell me usage and time remaining? What is I calibrate wrong?
4. Alarm to alert to 100% charge is useless since I can see 100%. How about alarm to tell me when I have been 100% for 20-30 mins charging to know really really charged? That might be useful.

I like the blinking lights, but hate the fact that I can only use it to see the lights. Right now it was 35% and it said 10minutes in songs 1minute in 3G web 4 minutes in video. I usually last up to 10 minutes at least on 3G web when it's that amount, and I can watch probably like 4 music videos before it warns me about 20% low battery. This is my first power app and I'm even more accurate than BatteryLED. Great led lights doh it looks realistic!

C'mon people. Those people who gave one star with saying "INACCURATE" do you guys know what ACCURATE mean? As long as apps are made by "HUMAN" they always will be inaccurate. Battery apps are supposed to give the estimated value of iPhone/iPod Touch's battery and BatteryLED does exactly what is meant to do. One star people, have you guys ever tried to develop any "Applications" that can help our iPhone lives? Please, think before you rate apps.

This battery app is very useful to check the battery life, but there are 2 glitches that seem strange to me.

The reason why I took off 1 star is because every time I set it so that there is a sound when it fully charges, it resets it so there is no sound. What am I supposed to do, stay on that page so it doesn't reset?

The reason why I took off another star from the rating is because when I downloaded it, the log showed the same lines and they said none. All but the last one that said "charging 100%".

The problems are small but they are useful features once they're fixed.

Piece of inaccurate junk.

If you like blinking LEDs, then maybe this is the battery app for you, but if you like a battery app that tells you how much charge you have left then you're barking up the wrong developer. So far, and I have bought/tested over a dozen of these type apps, the only one that actually provides you semi accurate battery level numbers is Battery Log (which also tracks usage and number of charging cycles with a graph).

Why is it sooooo hard for a battery app to be accurate??

I've looked at a lot of battery devices but never gotten one because they seem like such unitaskers and are never actually cute enough to like. This this one is so cute! I like just looking at it and it's nice that it says thelife for different functions too like games and video. Totally worth it, though the free bar on the icon is annoying. Get BatteryLED!

BatteryLED is cool and useful, but it could be more exact.
BatteryLED just detectS how much battery life u have left and has pre-set time estimates for each feature no matter how long ur battery had been at that power level.
It would be more helpful if the times were an actual estimate and not just pre-set numbers.
