About Doodle Jump

In Doodle Jump, you guide Doodle the Doodler—using some of the most subtle and accurate tilt controls in existence—on a springy journey up, up, up a sheet of graph paper, picking up jet packs, avoiding black holes, and blasting baddies with nose balls along the way.

"Doodle Jump is a perfect micro-game, insanely addictive, and deliciously replayable.

Laugh with delight as Doodle™ blows past other players' actual score markers scribbled in the margins.

And be warned: this game is insanely addictive.

Tilt to move left or right, tap the screen to shoot.

"Somehow it's better than sleep for me.

Thanks

I love the creativity and gameplay and think it is excellent for mobile device gaming. I purchased it a decade or so ago and appreciate that I am still able to play it after all of these years. I’ve paid much more for so many apps over the years that were unapologetically not supported and disappeared from DoodleJump Store rather quickly. Also many where I was forced to either buy a different version of DoodleJump or be left with nothing. I think it speaks very highly of this team that they have found a way to keep this app functional for those of us that purchased it a decade ago. Thanks and keep up the great work. 👍🏼

Still the best!

10yrs + and still going strong! Don't play as much as I used to but I will always keep this on every device that it is made for! Actually wish they would make one for the Apple TV and Nvidia Shield TV! Ive got the racing version for ATV but it's just not the same. My favorite quick pick up and play style game like this is Crossy Road which is on ALL the mobile and TV devices that I have. I've had it also for as long as it's been out and it continues to get updates. Lima Sky, I think ur missing out on an opportunity by not releasing a TV version for both platforms. Crossy Road is even on my 2nd gen Fire TV, just sayin!

Was good until the new challenges showed up

I once enjoyed this game. It was fun and mindless with a bit of challenge. You can’t ever win, but you can always try to beat your personal best.

Then the newer challenges came out. Avoid 10 monsters in a game was difficult and took quite a while to attain, but I finally did it. However, the blast 10 monsters without missing is all but impossible. Why? Because it’s blast 10 monster IN A ROW without missing. Miss one monster and that game is done. It doesn’t reset again. And even if it did, having one miss wipe out all progress is crazy. When a challenge isn’t attainable for anyone but those with nothing better to do that play Doodle Jump all day and the challenges can’t be changed, the game has lost its fun.

Nice game but please add choice of selecting difficulty

I like the game. It’s being my favorite mini game on my iPad. However I want to point out the boringness and lack of progress of this game. That is, every time you fall, you start from scratch again. You need to go another 3 minutes of boring easy difficulty level to get to where you fell last time. So the player can’t get proper practice or increase the difficulty of the game. This render the game very boring, and waste of time. It’s like you need to do a lot integer addition before you can practice multiply which is what you actually wanted.

I would give 5 Star if they add the functionality of selecting difficulty.

A vanguard of the old App Store

Doodle Jump as an app, as well as Lima Sky as a company, both amaze me because of the sheer honesty of the game. Comparing Doodle Jump to any other game and its subsequent cash-grabs, particularly Cut the Rope and the Angry Birds library, there is a stunning difference in the methods employed by the devs. There are zero ads between deaths, no shoehorned IAPs (beyond cosmetic changes and slightly stronger abilities in the seasonal events), and the game still receives updates almost 10 years after its initial release. Keep being awesome, Lima Sky.

I downloaded this back in 2010

I wanted to start my review off by saying I downloaded this game back in 2010 and it’s not a game I play regularly anymore but it’s still solid for what you get from it. Not much has changed since I downloaded it back then. This was one of my first apps and I’ve played over 100s of mobile games. The concept is simple and it’s a chill way to pass time, but nothing I’d spend a daunting amount of time on everyday.

Missions Glitch

I love this game, but I’ve been having issues with missions. I’m pretty sure I complete them, but the game resets my progress and doesn’t count points toward them properly. I often get stuck on missions because it doesn’t properly track my progress. Without missions, the game isn’t as fun. I need more motivation than just beating my high score. If there are missions instead of levels, then they should at least work. I’ve reached out to support but haven’t received a response. I hope someone will address this.

You have to tilt your phone to move. Why?!?!

It’s just annoying and makes no sense. You could have easily made a slider to move. At least add an option to turn it off. And also my phone is no Wii motion plus. The tilting is super inaccurate, and can also be super annoying when I’m trying to relax in bed and play this. Great game, but this one mechanic drops two stars.

Just an idea

Dear makers of doodle jump, so in the retro world, people can collect cherries. I was thinking there could be a store for that game. So doodle could also be like Pac-Man, or Maybe the frog from frogger. Or one could be an outfit where when you tap, doodle looks like a monster and when he bumps into monsters, he doesn’t fall. From, ######.

Great Game

Awesome free game to play. Very addictive, I play about an hour a day. The ads are a bit annoying but if you stay up high in the Easter mode, ninja mode, Halloween mode, soccer mode and pirate mode you can buy skins. Great game if your for a game as a kid. You shoot monsters by tapping the screen, avoid the black holes and UFOs it’s a great game.

By

No options menu?

I’m fine with the ads, I’m also fine with paying to turn them off. The thing I’m NOT fine with is not having an option to turn off the sounds or change calibration like we had in the first Doodle Jump game.

I frequently use my AirPods to listen to music while playing... and I cannot do this with all these sound effects on the game with no option to turn them off. That’s a glaring gap that needs to be fixed.

Lit game, one problem

I love this game with the variety of maps and how sastisfying it is to get a high score, just one thing. They need to add more updates! Maybe add some maps and some more skins! But overall it’s good! One more thing, the missions are glitched. So maybe update the game, but overall a awesome game

The game doesn’t save my missions progress

The missions actually make the game fun. However, the “shoot and miss monsters 50x” is very challenging and confusing. I make decent progress then it starts over?? It’s so frustrating. Is it because I keep dying in the game? I don’t appreciate the game not properly saving my progress for missions

How do you move??

I love doodle jump. I play it all the time at Chuck E. Cheese. The only problem with the mobile version is that I don’t know how to move!! The guy seems to move by himself, but it says to avoid the holes and I don’t know how to control.

Love this game!!!!!!

This game is SOOOOO addicting!!!!! I love how the game has different characters you can get, and the tournaments are AMAZING!! The challenges are challenging and hard to do, and I love that. I definitely recommend this game if you are bored, or need something to do. This game is a time consumer, and is addicting!!!

Great game

One of my favorite games. Started playing it a decade ago on BlackBerry. Incredibly impressed with the continued support and still being able to enjoy it and on my new iPhone.

Still brings me joy after so many years.

I love DoodleJump because it is the perfect mobile game. It also lets me remember a time where I can play a COMPLETE game without being plagued with micro transactions. Ahhh 😌 I miss those times.

Entertaining

This is the only game I play on my IPhone and use it only if I need to entertain myself if I’m on a plane or something like that. Most games I play on my Nintendo Switch or PS4 Pro. But overall it’s a really great game. I recommend it to anyone. Keep it up Lima Sky!

The app starts slow

I’m playing this game on my iPhone Xs Max and for some reason everytime i start DoodleJump it’s so slow, I’m not sure if it’s my internet connection or what but it’s really slow when i start.

By

Slow motion

I used to enjoy this game as a quick time waster on my phone when I was waiting for friends or appointments. In the last month however the game starts fine but after a few jumps it changes to slow motion which is just completely unchallenging & unenjoyable. I have the latest update on a new iPhone- doesn’t matter. The game simply doesn’t work properly. What a shame- it used to be fun.
