When you see the ad for this, it says “FREE”. Now I understand with most free apps, you may have annoying ads, or have to pay for certain aspects of PlantAI . With this one it tells you that after the free trial is over the cost is…. Why not put “Free Trial” instead of free? It’s not a big deal, I deleted PlantAI . If you’re not going to be honest up front, I have no need for PlantAI .

I have been trying to cancel out of this program since December 10th, 2023. This would have been before my 7 day free trial was up. It’s now December 27, 2023. I see PlantAI is still on and I am still not able to cancel my subscription. Please advise. I also never gave permission to bill anything it renew my subscription. I have followed the directions - to go to PlantAI - there is nothing there for me to press unsubscribe!

After dozens of threatening and hateful messages on Twitter (which seems to have let them find my personal info) where they were mentioning
My address/name (only used on Twitter). Ends with an ad from plant AI. Their name is now indelibly etched into my brain. I can’t separate them.

Who makes a decision to support these people, and give them money

PlantAI was presented as being able not only to identify a plant but to diagnose from the photo what is wrong and how to correct it to have a healthy plant.
I’m quite upset that I can’t even cancel this! I have it for a year ( I paid)! And it’s not helping me!
I wouldn’t recommend PlantAI unless you’re looking for a therapist plant! That’s basically what I got!

I just downloaded PlantAI was supposed to be a trial. I made sure that I put the button to let me know when the trial ended and says that they would let me know one day or two before the trial ends and I got charged $11 something dollars like after I second of downloading

I contacted Apple for a refund because I was charged before the 3 day trial was over and they said they can’t do anything to help me and I need to write a review to get my refund. Can someone please contact me so I can get a refund? I have done the report a problem and called Apple and they said because the was PlantAI is set up they can’t give me a refund. I believe I was actually charged twice now so you owe me $64! I really need my money for groceries and gas. Please help!

Thus far with the two plants that has been submitted and inquired about Plant AI has not been informative or solution driven. The first plant shown, AI advised that consult with a horticulturalist. Now the second plant the advice given is that it is in a pot and surrounded by bottles, nothing relevant to the plant health, the plant is not potted and the “bottles” is actually the barrier used to surround all the plants planted. In other words AI is not seeing bottles. So far not useful and although not pleased to this point I am happy that this is occurring during my trial period. Do better AI.

I took numerous pictures of my plant as the leaves fell one by one after yellowing. The same diagnosis appeared "aged yellow", which was noted as a "normal phenomenon". Every day I took pictures for diagnosis, the same diagnosis was provided; "aged yellow". After the stems started to wilt and the same diagnosis/remedy appeared, I am deleting PlantAI . It does not provide any suggestions that appeared on the commercial for PlantAI. I would've appreciated having some recommendation to save my plant. I'm am sad to say, it is dead. I would not recommend PlantAI to anyone.

To use PlantAI you have to agree to a 7 day trial, and then it becomes a royal pain to try to remove a subscription from your Apple Store and if you have a Credit Card linked to Apple Account. Good luck

It thinks my Zoysia is Kentucky blue grass, and it thinks the lawn rust (fungus) is because it’s too dry. It’s quite the opposite. PlantAI would literally kill my new lawn if I didn’t know better. AI is a bubble and has a long way to go before being useful in grass identification.

Presented as if you can use photos to diagnose but after taking the three photos required after clicking “Diagnose” AI says it can only use text.

I find it very difficult and user unfriendly as I’m still trying to submit my yearly payment to you. It shouldn’t be this difficult to submit a payment. One star for user friendly and joining for membership.

This does not live up to hype, my plant was diagnosed as healthy yet it has brown leaves. Told me to take it to plant person.
I already know that. I tried it on two different plants.

I downloaded PlantAI , it said PlantAI is free!!!! IT IS NOT! Then it says the amount after trial. I saw that and deleted it immediately? I BETTER NOT AUTOMATICALLY GET CHARGED! So dishonest right from the start!

Unable to cancel FREE subscription. No customer service contact info. Cancellation instructions on the website are not helpful/incomplete. It was advertised as free NOT a free TRIAL offer.

Out of the five plants I tried to identify with your program I got the identity of three, one of which was wrong. so your program is running 2 for 5. I don’t know if that’s good or bad or what is expected.

PlantAI doesn’t do what the advertising states. You can find out what’s wrong with a plant after you jump through hoops. My main complaint is that when you sign up for 7 day trial there is an option to get a reminder that the trial is coming to an end, but they don’t let you know! I cancelled mine on the 7 th day and they didn’t cancel it thought it said in my apps it was. So they charged me nearly $35 for the year, I contacted them and they said sorry for your problems but we don’t refund money! You will have to try through Apple! So my recommendation is don’t get PlantAI !

The plant identifier is nice, the when to water is nice, though I did discover my plants do better when I check the soil for moisture rather then go by a calendar. The light indicator does not seem accurate, told me inadequate light even when grow lights were on.
But the biggest dissatisfaction was not once did I see any suggestions similar to the commercials, ie “add sugar”, “coffee” whatever and that’s what I was really interested in.
PS if you have a freshwater aquarium, I do recommend you save the water when you clean the tank-great to water plants with.

My review, that is. I pointed out that in the ad for PlantAI the 3 plants are shown & “identified”. The very first photo is of a Philodendron Birkin which PlantAI identifies as Golden pothos. Ha, they can’t even correctly identify the plant in their own advisement! The last photo in the ad is a canna( correctly id’d) that has been growing in too low light & has been overwatered- they recommend soaking the soil with yoghurt!!! Seriously? If this was supposed to be a spoof of an app it would be funny, but as a serious ad for an app…well, good luck to anyone looking for help with their plants.

During our 7 day trial we loved PlantAI. It was very responsive and help us so much with our plants. Today I paid the yearly fee and have not had any luck with PlantAI at all.
All it says is “ oops, something went wrong, please try again”. Over and over again.

Sooooooooo, disappointed.

PlantAI is only good for identification of species. Diagnosing disease or identifying Lawn problems has yet to succeed. PlantAI always seems to think my trouble plants are healthy. Every time scales and root rot both were healthy? 😑 Amd you can forget about lawn problems, it has no idea.

When PlantAI first came out, it was so beautiful, I loved that each of plants had a personality. I rooted for PlantAI

But then it expanded in the worst way. The best way to put it, is I feel like the UI got “polished” with graffiti. It’s just a mess now, and “Greva” can talk to me about how to deal with a migraine, as well as have political conversations with me, or even give me advice on filing my taxes.

Is there a beta team or QA that happens? Some of the issues should be caught by an internal team

I’ve just returned to PlantAI after a week or two without updating it, and do not have automatic updates for PlantAI.

There’s now a new AI assistant, and the questions and answers that were had with the original assistant is gone?

Cache hasn’t been cleared, how do I recover it?

Every question has been answered quickly and with detail. My questions related to the zone I live in and she gave perfect answers. As of now, I’ve only used the, “ask the expert”. I look forward to growing in my landscape wisdom and skills!

PlantAI is amazing. Travelling along in my boat I can take picture and within seconds I have an AI description with identification of all the trees and plants. Wonderful way to log the journey.

Although Plant AI and I got off to a bad start when it identified a Rhododendron as a Tulip Tree and still does, it has been invaluable identifying the remainder of the plants planted by previous owners. No need to plant blueberries now as they are already here. How exciting. I’ve identified 30+ flowers, trees, and bushes. If I can’t recall a certain plant and its care, I go to history. This is one app I’m keeping.

I love it because it diagnoses plant diseases and litteraly saved my succulent! I highly recommend PlantAI to people with succulent plants or a plant that is sick!

Being from NE & now living in SC, having been a ‘gardener?’ for decades, sometimes yard work becomes a chore🤷🏼‍♀️. this app has put the fun back in growing- I’m taking pics of plants in my yard that I put in long ago, have seedlings coming up i forgot I planted, checking the health of my houseplants…it’s just plain fun!!! At a rest stop or business & think I’d like to have that in my yard…what is it this app?☺️

I tried lots of applications to help me with everything I need to know about planting, when to water it and what’s the duration and diagnosis what wrong with the plant, but I wasted hundreds on apps but i never was satisfied with any. Finally, PlantAI, it is very helpful and I can ask whatever I need to know about my plants and it will take me step by step and advise me what how to do it. I am very happy with this application and I highly recommend it.

I have tried so many different apps and most don’t even get the identification part right! They give you possibilities of what the plant might be…. And usually the choices don’t even resemble the plant or tree!
PlantAI is spot on every single time!!!
