I love PlantAI every question that I’ve had so far they have answered with great advice! In my opinion this is the best plant app I’ve used yet

Only a trial. Nothing without paying.

After dozens of threatening and hateful messages on Twitter (which seems to have let them find my personal info) where they were mentioning
My address/name (only used on Twitter). Ends with an ad from plant AI. Their name is now indelibly etched into my brain. I can’t separate them.

Who makes a decision to support these people, and give them money

Presented as if you can use photos to diagnose but after taking the three photos required after clicking “Diagnose” AI says it can only use text.

I find it very difficult and user unfriendly as I’m still trying to submit my yearly payment to you. It shouldn’t be this difficult to submit a payment. One star for user friendly and joining for membership.

The information on the plant’s identity and diagnosis has been very helpful in saving plants for the first 7 days.

PlantAI was presented as being able not only to identify a plant but to diagnose from the photo what is wrong and how to correct it to have a healthy plant.
I’m quite upset that I can’t even cancel this! I have it for a year ( I paid)! And it’s not helping me!
I wouldn’t recommend PlantAI unless you’re looking for a therapist plant! That’s basically what I got!

The only time that didn’t happen, it said my 1/2 dead plant looked healthy…? How can I cancel PlantAI??

PlantAI could not identify my Weeping Podocarpus.

This does not live up to hype, my plant was diagnosed as healthy yet it has brown leaves. Told me to take it to plant person.
I already know that. I tried it on two different plants.

My review, that is. I pointed out that in the ad for PlantAI the 3 plants are shown & “identified”. The very first photo is of a Philodendron Birkin which PlantAI identifies as Golden pothos. Ha, they can’t even correctly identify the plant in their own advisement! The last photo in the ad is a canna( correctly id’d) that has been growing in too low light & has been overwatered- they recommend soaking the soil with yoghurt!!! Seriously? If this was supposed to be a spoof of an app it would be funny, but as a serious ad for an app…well, good luck to anyone looking for help with their plants.

Out of the five plants I tried to identify with your program I got the identity of three, one of which was wrong. so your program is running 2 for 5. I don’t know if that’s good or bad or what is expected.

Unable to cancel FREE subscription. No customer service contact info. Cancellation instructions on the website are not helpful/incomplete. It was advertised as free NOT a free TRIAL offer.

Every question has been answered quickly and with detail. My questions related to the zone I live in and she gave perfect answers. As of now, I’ve only used the, “ask the expert”. I look forward to growing in my landscape wisdom and skills!

Thus far with the two plants that has been submitted and inquired about Plant AI has not been informative or solution driven. The first plant shown, AI advised that consult with a horticulturalist. Now the second plant the advice given is that it is in a pot and surrounded by bottles, nothing relevant to the plant health, the plant is not potted and the “bottles” is actually the barrier used to surround all the plants planted. In other words AI is not seeing bottles. So far not useful and although not pleased to this point I am happy that this is occurring during my trial period. Do better AI.

I have been trying to cancel out of this program since December 10th, 2023. This would have been before my 7 day free trial was up. It’s now December 27, 2023. I see PlantAI is still on and I am still not able to cancel my subscription. Please advise. I also never gave permission to bill anything it renew my subscription. I have followed the directions - to go to PlantAI - there is nothing there for me to press unsubscribe!

When you see the ad for this, it says “FREE”. Now I understand with most free apps, you may have annoying ads, or have to pay for certain aspects of PlantAI . With this one it tells you that after the free trial is over the cost is…. Why not put “Free Trial” instead of free? It’s not a big deal, I deleted PlantAI . If you’re not going to be honest up front, I have no need for PlantAI .

I just downloaded PlantAI was supposed to be a trial. I made sure that I put the button to let me know when the trial ended and says that they would let me know one day or two before the trial ends and I got charged $11 something dollars like after I second of downloading

After I took photos, I expected some suggestions on how to make my plant healthier but all I am getting is watering. Suggestions?

It kept giving me different problems for the same thing

I downloaded PlantAI , it said PlantAI is free!!!! IT IS NOT! Then it says the amount after trial. I saw that and deleted it immediately? I BETTER NOT AUTOMATICALLY GET CHARGED! So dishonest right from the start!

To use PlantAI you have to agree to a 7 day trial, and then it becomes a royal pain to try to remove a subscription from your Apple Store and if you have a Credit Card linked to Apple Account. Good luck

When PlantAI first came out, it was so beautiful, I loved that each of plants had a personality. I rooted for PlantAI

But then it expanded in the worst way. The best way to put it, is I feel like the UI got “polished” with graffiti. It’s just a mess now, and “Greva” can talk to me about how to deal with a migraine, as well as have political conversations with me, or even give me advice on filing my taxes.

Is there a beta team or QA that happens? Some of the issues should be caught by an internal team

I contacted Apple for a refund because I was charged before the 3 day trial was over and they said they can’t do anything to help me and I need to write a review to get my refund. Can someone please contact me so I can get a refund? I have done the report a problem and called Apple and they said because the was PlantAI is set up they can’t give me a refund. I believe I was actually charged twice now so you owe me $64! I really need my money for groceries and gas. Please help!

You get to talk to your plants to diagnose the plant problem they are having. I’m enjoying this a lot.

This ad cost is a little pricey. It’s not free ck before you download it. I didn’t know it cost until I stared to download it.

It thinks my Zoysia is Kentucky blue grass, and it thinks the lawn rust (fungus) is because it’s too dry. It’s quite the opposite. PlantAI would literally kill my new lawn if I didn’t know better. AI is a bubble and has a long way to go before being useful in grass identification.
