* Update: And there’s that flippant response from the developer, about the user’s ability to simply turn off the ads. That’s a lie. You cannot simply turn off the ads. Other apps get by on a reasonable number of ads, without unreasonable interference. When I enjoy using an app, I buy it. I can’t use AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame long enough to enjoy it without those annoying interruptions. And the attitude of the developer convinces me I don’t want to ever download another of their apps.

When you first download the game, there’s a normal amount of ads at the end of each round. Then gradually they add ads in the middle of a round, along with a message that you’ve completed a certain number of games, and you can either watch an ad or pay money to continue. The number of words completed between ads seems to be random. The first notice I got said I had completed 7 words. The next one said 9, then 8, then 11, then 9, etc. Eleven was the most words it let me complete before interrupting the game for another notice to pay money or watch an ad. Plus it continued to show ads at the end of each round. Then it gave me only one word before breaking in with another demand for money or watch an ad. I don’t mind a reasonable amount of advertising, but this is more ad time than game play.

It’s fun and even paid for the no ads but once you get over the 100 levels it freezes and you have to delete AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame and start over. I was able to get the ads free back but not my levels. Will not be starting this game over and I need a refund on my purchase.

The game is enjoyable enough, but the ads are loud, obnoxious, and difficult to close after they are finished with their mandatory 30 second viewing. Even when you click on the X multiple times it brings you to the store page for AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame . There is no way to close the ad, no matter how long you wait, until being taken to the store page of the ad three times.

Love the game, but soooo many ads beyond belief. I usually don’t mind ads but you get them before, during, and after each round (which only last about 60-90 seconds). This is so invasive and ruins the ability to enjoy the game. I understand ads help keep AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame free and supports the developers but this game is 90% watching ads for 10% of gameplay. Downloading a different game with the same concept but less ads. ✌🏻

I really was enjoying this game until it kept popping up as right in the middle of a game every two minutes. I’m an old lady I know fixed-income I cannot pay to have ads not show up that much. I mean I play other games and the ads do not come up every two minutes. This is ridiculous. I’m sorry because it was a good game.

I have played this crossword puzzle twice. The first time after reaching a certain level I received a notification that I wasn’t connected to the internet. I went through all the drill - closing app, shutting down my iPad, disconnect and reconnect to Wi-Fi - nothing worked. The same message popped up. I deleted AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame , redownloaded and started all over. Again, once I reached the exact same level as the first time, I have received the same message. No internet connection. I don’t know what the issue is with AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame. I love it, but until this “bug” is fixed, I’m deleting AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame once again. Too bad, because it really is informative and fun. Good luck to anyone who downloads it.

I love playing this game, but all of the sudden it says there’s no internet connection and won’t load. My internet connection is fine because everything else works. Please fix this! I don’t want to have to delete it.

You may play for 10 seconds, get 1 word and have a ad, play and finish the round and immediately have another set of ads. I downloaded the game that was being promoted and I’m going to go play that game since it doesn’t require WiFi and no Ads… good job to drive me away from all the ads.

Too many and too long. Very frustrating. Although I do really enjoy the game, it just takes too long to play because of them.

I absolutely love this game. I made it through many levels TWICE, however, both times, after a certain point, I could not sign in because there was a pop up blocking my access. The pop up was “must connect to the internet “. Both times I was online so I had to uninstall AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame and reinstall which deleted any progress I had made. If this happens this time, I will not reinstall.

I actually enjoyed this game. But the ads are overwhelming. Even when you win you’re forced to watch a 30 second ad. Don’t get me wrong, I understand developers require cash but it was too much, way too much. I’m typically a patient person but I had to remove the game because it’s just more time spent watching ads than playing.

The game is fine until you use up your very limited amount of clues. After that you have to pay again or watch ads even though you already paid for no ads. Very disappointed.

My favorite game but the ads are literally more than any game i have played.

I love the game so much except… I answer a set of questions (in the same round) and then I have to watch an ad or pay. For example, like ‘These words are 85% right’ blah blah blah! It’s good other so pls fix this issue. Thank you!

This game is fun but I think editing can be improved. I’m seeing lots of spelling and wording issues, words in the wrong order or missing/extra words and letters.
Lots of repeat clues as well.
Overall fun and some interesting trivia included.

The game was originally downloaded on my iPhone and I purchased the ($4.99) no ads offer. The game froze and stopped working on my iPhone. I downloaded it again on my iPad and paid, again on my iPad. The game actually mentioned that I paid for the “no ads” option and offered for me to get the option for free, however, it recharged me. Thank you.

This game is so addicting! This has to be my favorite app on my device. It just really just relaxes me. Five stars for sure!

This game is fun it has you thinking and when you're at a block and then get it it just feels Awesome

If you like word games .It’s worth it to pay for the ad free ! I love this game ! I didn’t mind paying to remove add . Its only one time payment.

There are vary little adds and it is a challenge for your mind

I have only had AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame for a short amount of time but it is really fun! A lot of people in the reviews were saying that there were to many ads but honestly the ads werent that bad it was like one short ad every other game so it really wasnt that bad! Also the way they distribute the hints for this game is really fair, so overall I would say this game is very good!

Love the puzzles but I hope you will add the Arabic language

It’s a great app and i enjoyed a lot playing on a daily basis. I reached level 521 and it suddenly crashed and whenever i try to open it nothing works. So i had to delete AcrosticsDailyCrosswordGame and reinstall it and start all over again which is so frustrating. I hope you can fix this bug the soonest.

It enhances your ability to think critically. Sharpens mind and brain. Focuses your attention to have fitness mentally.

I love this game, I’ve become ADDICTED. As someone who enjoys random knowledge I’d like to be able to go back and see those fun facts again or even just be able to take the quizzes again. Other than that I really enjoy this game!
