This is the worst deep fake app that ai have seen!
The image quality is horrible and it has zero function ability as far as navigating RealDeep itself. Do not waste your time or money.

I want me money back! Don’t know how to get it to work? Tired of trying, so there you have it.!

Very disappointed, bought this and it only does the swap for maybe 15 seconds of the video, you would think it would do it for the whole video but it doesn’t, hopefully there will be an update soon, otherwise complete waste of money.

It’s like RealDeep is not even trying to get better. The face swap is not believable. It morphs and deforms your face, then turns it into a low resolution mess. Stay away from RealDeep! Even if you are curious, find another app.

Please fix RealDeep. It crashes everytime.

I purchased the lifetime subscription for the real time videos but for some reason it won’t do more than 3 sec on the deep video selection it keeps asking me to subscribe again, I even tried hitting restore my purchase but it says it can not find this in app purchase for my account. If I have to pay to the deep video as well then it’s misleading.

Using on an M4 iPad Pro with paid video upgrade. It seems to do maybe a 30% blend of the new face image - i.e. it still looks mostly like the original face. Not sure if the AI would benefit from multiple source images, but I had really hoped RealDeep would have had the ability to render a whole new face in the video. And no support online, no discussion forum, tips etc.

Updating my prior review. This is a great simple app that works very well.

It works locally, so no need to establish an on-line account. It's very fast.

The only drawback is the lack of documentation, so it took me some trial and error to understand. The file exchange is your Photos app. This is where you upload and download your videos and images.

I tried the free version, and it did as advertised. On the basis of its representation that the pay version unlocks 4k video, I paid for the real-time deepfake. The quality is still poor, especially around the eyes and mouth. I used a high-res photo to deepfake a high-res video clip. The result was a working deepfake, but of sub-par quality. The look was rough. I run this on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. Hardware isn’t the issue. Other apps offer much sharper face swapping but with some limitations. I’m going to pass on the one time, forever unlock of unlimited video. If the quality of RealDeep improves, I would reconsider. Also, it would be nice if there were an option to hide the UI.

The videos you make are way to short

It used to be great now it cuts me off on middle of the video although I purchased premium subscription.

Works really well if you have a good reference to swap. Love that it does all the work locally and in real time. Couple wishes though:

-batch swapping would be a big time saver

-having the Mac app work on older Intel Macs would be nice

-swapping the whole head instead of the face but I understand the difficulty here

Great app and would recommend for some fun videos.

What ever update it’s crashing. delete reload works for a few then shuts down. Overall great technology

Im glad RealDeep continues working well. Performance is touchy but that could be my phone. Certain angles work better than others. You have to experiment to get the most seamless output. Sometimes it crashes or has stability issues. It doesn’t do well with people looking up.

Previously RealDeep worked like a charm as it should but after the real time deepfake addition RealDeep no longer functions and only shows blacked out circles and blank icons where faces would be, also I believe that you can’t actually purchase the real time feature as you can only seem to purchase the unlimited option. I hope this can be remedied !

Don’t let the negative reviews fool you - Real Deep is one of the best apps of its kind. Indeed, there are two payments to unlock the full app - one for unlimited deepfakes with no time constraints and the other to unlock the “Live” feature. However, once paid, these features are yours to keep and there is no subscription - which is great! Also, all video processing is done on the device and not uploaded to a server. That said, take note of the developer’s recommendations for devices that can run RealDeep well. Quality-wise is does a great job maintaining facial features. The resolution around the eyes and mouth could use improvement, however considering that it’s processed on the device itself it is quite impressive. RealDeep offers an “Ideas” feature that allows you to deepfake preselected videos so you can how it performs, along with the option to upload 3 seconds of your own videos. The developers are great too - they’re responsive to your emails and will consider feature suggestions for the future. Thanks and keep up the great work!
