The game is pretty good in the beginning. There are 3 big issues for me. (I am someone who plays tons of idle/tycoon games. I also click on ads to get everything and move things forward) 1. The time it takes to upgrade properties or research is way to long. It would not be bad if we were able to up... Show more grade other things at the same time. But no. If you want to upgrade faster you have to spend real money to buy that option. 2. The money vault limit is a major problem. You never have enough money to upgrade things because the vault limits you. You are also only able to upgrade it to a certain point. Then after that you have to spend real money to expand it so you are able to continue. The developers respond to complaints about it by telling people to basically buy with real money the upgrades. 3. All of the random ads that just pop up. I am one who is happy to watch ads when I click on them and get fun little rewards. I do this all the time. The random pop up ads in the middle of an games are just an interruption to the enjoyment. It also just shows how greedy to developers are. They force you to watch ads to move along in the game, they force you to spend money if you want to proceed further in the game, then they force random ads on you!

These are the reasons I can not and will not recommend this game. And why I am warning you about it.

I am also deleting it. So sad because it could have been a great game!

I love idle games. This grew in me when watching ads for it. Downloaded it. Was fun at first but quickly became uninteresting. While it has potential to be a decent game/time killer there is a lot to be desired. Understand the ads and have no problem with that aspect even to the point of paying the fee to remove. However even after that there’s no way to move beyond the initial phase without spending more. The vault wil... Show more l only upgrade to hold $5M and initial phases of the progress require more than that (1 week in). So you have to purchase employees to expand the vault capacity and then after that you can upgrade all of the things in your “truckstop” but then nothing left to do. No upgrade to bigger and better things just spend some money and get roughly two to three weeks of entertainment and then simply do nothing. At this point not worth spending anything on. They did a good job of getting a few dollars but wouldn’t recommend at this point.

Before I downloaded this from an Instagram ad I always check reviews, someone mentioned something about eventually getting stuck at a paywall and I see what they mean hence why I’m giving it 1 star but it has potential if they ever change that.

Show more your “bank” called the “vault” and eventually you can only upgrade your vault to the point where you can hold 500k and the upgrade cost to unlock more space is 1million 🤔. The only way to reach the potential space to hold that much money is through buying the premium bonuses they offer in the in-game store, forcing you to spend 5$ at the minimum to continue to unlock the rest of the content for a game that caps out pretty quickly. I know it’s only five dollars but at the rate you will finish upgrades the game would probably only last a week max. Cool idea, has potential, needs work though.

As someone who is extremely picky with mobile games and I am constantly looking for a game that is worthwhile, this game is not worth the time or the money. The price for removing ads is atrocious. The game is based entirely off of ads and paid features. There are options to watch an ad to speed things up, which I’m ok with, but there are also frequent forced ads as well. You are only allowed to build one building at a time and upgrade a building at a time which take hours to upgrade. You can... If you could upgrade multiple buildings at once or money wasn’t so easy to come by, this may be a fun game, but it’s too easy and slow to progress. Not worth the time/effort/frustration.

The game looks to have a cool premise to it, but until they fix that problem, I won’t play, and I encourage others not to download.

For some reason there’s a cap on how much income you can store in your vault. You eventually become stuck with no way to progress because your upgrade costs more than the income in your vault. EDIT: I deleted this crap game. Don’t waste your time or money because all you’ll get is a generic developer response saying they’re working on improvements and no update other than minor “bug fixes” for months. It’s been MONTHS since I’ve reviewed and TruckStopTycoon is just taking up space because I can’t advance any further due to the income cap. Would give negative stars if I could because 1 is definitely too generous.

Ive reached a point where i maxed my vault at level 10, but then started being met with stuff upgrades that exceeded that max cap. Others have said that even buying stuff to increase your vault cap STILL isnt enough to upgrade everything.

I do not recommend this game at all, and the devs dont seem to think that stuff through. Also, the max vault level is 10 yet some staff requires vault level 11. Kinda shows how incompetent the decs are in my opinion

Don’t waste your time with this one! The vault never has enough capacity unless you spend something like $20+ more, and even then you’re maxed out on your vault capacity. Even after you’ve dumped more cash into the game to increase your vaults capacity, it doesn’t matter, your still stuck and can’t go any further. I truly don’t understand it. Basically, you spend real cash and don’t even get to progress through the game! I have no idea how this game is getting a 4.7 star rating! On a petty note, you set your researchers to task, but you don’t know what they’re doing unless you manually scan through all the different research tasks to see how they’re coming along…tedious. This idle game made me sick of all idle games and I deleted them. I’m pretty disgusted with TruckStopTycoon developers!

I don’t know if anyone at Apple, tests games, but they really need to test this one, the bank isn’t big enough, even if you pay real cash money to upgrade the bank, it can never hold enough to upgrade everything, everything is very expensive to purchase on this game, that’s all this game is about, ... Idk when people are gonna realize these tycoon games are basically a clever way for these companies to play constant ads for you and make it feel like you’re playing a game. You’re not. The concept of these games is cool but in order to do anything you need to watch ads or spend real money on getting the in game currency to not have to wait ridiculous amounts of time. And honestly, props to these companies. They figured out a clever way to have you watch ads and make them money while feeling like you’re kind of playing a game. Bc you’re really not. You’re really just watching ads.

I’ve enjoyed many idle tycoon games but this one is overrun with ads and small things take way too long to make it run. I can’t even make it one day in this game without being annoyed. I’ve almost finished the game to the point I’ve maxed out the restrooms and 2 of the gas stations but after you have played to the point where you have maxout your vault as far as not paying you can only hold 5.8mill and there are upgrades that exceed 5 mill so I decided I’m this far in I’ll spend ... Good game, good concept but in order to max everything out and go even further you have to pay out-of-pocket to even advance. This is the most incomplete game I’ve ever played. There’s only one truck stop. You can’t upgrade everything. Stuff you can upgrade won’t unlock trucks or linked upgrades as it’s supposed to. Freemium games act like they are AAA titles now with the rip off price gouging. Broken. Buggy. Boring. Unsatisfying. The high ratings have to be bots. I play a ton of games like this, but I have never come across one that makes it impossible to finish. Granted it’s a mobile game you can’t play it hours on end because your waiting for your truckstop areas to be built so pay to have more in game currency or get flooded with ads to pass it. We are forced to watch stupid ads already….if you want us to buy something don’t make it over $5 bucks. It’s an iPhone game just as quick as we downloaded it we can delete it and go find another one where the developer is just out to make a profit off a mediocre game at best

I actually like this game but, I share the same frustration as other players with the vault capacity and the need to actually pay real money to actually play the game with any success. First, why can I only see 4 missions at a time. Even if I have completed a mission, I can’t see it until it poops up. I should be able to scroll through them like I can the research list. Second, I should be able to see my active builds and active research in one location without clicking on a bunch of areas guessing. Third, why should have to pay for builders and investigators? Why can’t they be unlocked by game play? Forth, the research, unlocks and updates take entirely too long!

Edit: another thing, why do we need to buy builders? We should be able to unlock them as we unlock everything else. Also the timers for things to be finished are WAAYY too long 4 hours just to have a small area to open up. Or I could pay 45 gold to have it done instantly. It’s hard to get gold when you have to wait for things to finish building before complete the other challenges. And same thing go for the research workers. Why do we need to buy those too? It doesn’t make since that we don’t just 1. Already have them. Or 2. Have to buy them and the limit on how many you can have is way too low. 4 for builders and 4 for research. And we have to buy each one. Let us unlock them like Fitness Club Tycoon does.

I think there was some miscommunication when making the game, all be it it was fun. More locations would be nice too, that might make it feel more like a tycoon game. Just some food for thought.

Not a bad game, but it's limited. Progression is faster if you spend money, which isn't a shock. But, you can't complete all upgrades because they cost more than what a "maxed" Vault can hold. This is a fun idle game but is so obviously a money grab. Then I noticed future requirements of vault level 11, which I couldn’t upgrade to.

I figured that I just need to complete all the research that n everything else to load the next batch of upgrades and research paths only to find that I have reached the end of what has been developed. Then after looking through the update his found in over a year they have patched bugs but not created new content. This is infuriating considering a lot of people spent money on they have capped off the game.

Would really like an update on when the caps will be increased and future upgrades will be added in. For now giving 3 stars because the game really requires you to make purchases to get anywhere. Your vault is never large enough and they don’t allow you to partially purchase upgrades. You have to have the total amount at one go. It would be better if you could at money to the upgrade you want and build it up.

This is a lot of fun but it has a couple of drawbacks. First being, you will pay to play, with that being said I think if they work this hard on the game they deserve to be compensated. Lastly you should be able to see the progression for how many more levels are needed within the task. Bonus thought, you should make advancing levels, once you complete the one allow it to close and go onto another world, if you really want to make the user happy allow for a small percentage of that truck stop to trickle into the other. At some point they updated the the game, and changed how the game functions, now you have to research things and unlock them, which is fine.

Here the confusing part, during the idle time, the game will say I made 286 million dollars, can only hold 5 million of it, but some updates cost 5.1 million.

My vault portion of the research is all updated, and my vault is max level, so I can’t complete every update on every part of the game. Am I missing something?

Other than that issue, the game is just like any other clicked game.

I do not understand why you cant upgrade the vault more. Have you guys realized the money earned per minute is completely inaccurate? It says you make 6.5$/min but you time it and make like a million a minute……… ass game
