Steam Import Doesn’t Work

2023-08-22

The main reason I was interested in Gamery is to automatically track my games. The Steam import simply doesn’t work, so I’m left adding them all manually.

Update: the 2.0 update hasn’t fixed the Steam issue. I emailed the developer as requested, but since the initial request he hasn’t responded to my follow up attempts at helping him investigate the problem. Emails are now bouncing when I try to email him. I’m happy to update this review when this feature is resolved.

As previously mentioned, the main appeal to Gamery is the automation aspect. Without that working, I see little value over making my own list to track games.

Good for small collections

Nice interface, feels good to use. Import is spotty in terms of matching/detecting titles and it can't handle larger collections, as I was unable to import my steam library even after subbing (via trial) so it could sync periodically.

Not exactly what I am looking for

2024-02-09

I wish there was a way to edit and reorder the main My Games screen. I really just want to track games that I own but not the playing status. So any of the lists that I have created to show by console, I want to be seen easily without having to scroll down past categories that I am not using.

This is because for games that are ongoing (like Mario Party) it is either forever in Playing. I do not want it to be in Backlog or Abandoned. The categories just does not serve a use for games such as these. I can see it for games that have a true start and finish storyline.

I also am confused on what game to pick sometimes. When I type in Red Dead Redemption for example, I get multiple choices for the same console.

I know that I can select by console, but I would also like a tag feature or something to where I can mark if a game for that specific console is physical or digital.

Nice but has a few issues

2024-02-09

I created a custom collection but can’t add games to it? I click the + button and go to a game page but see no option to add it to the collection?

Works great. I’ve been looking for a game tracker.

So I’ll start by mentioning, I paid for the premium version of Gamery after I saw how it fit exactly what I was looking for in a game tracker.

You can import games from multiple platforms, update their status, view statistics etc. It’s great.

A small issue I noticed is, if a game title has something like a semi colon then it makes the API angry and you get a 400 bad request. This should be updated.

Here is my biggest gripe:

For some reason, importing games from Xbox is the only option that doesn’t require login with a username and password. Because of this, you need to use your gamertag.

This would be fine, but it isn’t working currently (not for me, anyway). So I am unable to import games from my Xbox library, which is my biggest game library.

If this is addressed then I’d easily update my review to 5 stars.

I never review but

Gamery it’s almost perfect style it’s so simple but well look everything it’s how suppose to be why 4 start cuz I think the premium it’s so greedy but overall Amazing APP !!!

Great App but do have a suggestion.

I loved how this imports all my games and keeps track of my achievements/trophies. I will say it would be nice to have more status options like Endless for games that don’t have an end. Don’t want my games I’ve played to be in the same list as games that can’t actually be beaten like multiplayer games or games like cozy games that don’t actually have and end. Also a category for games I have on hold that I haven’t exactly abandoned but also not currently playing but have started. Also another status that would be nice would be a completed status for games you have 100%. That way you can see what you’ve played and what you’ve actually completed separately. That’s just a suggestion. Also not sure how hard it is to implement this but would be cool to maybe have a way to export your games to a spreadsheet format. Would like to be able to have a google sheet so I can link it so my viewers can see what games I have played and see my backlog as well

The indie game tracker I’ve needed

2024-09-10

As an indie dev I always had a game teacher on the back burner as an app to build because I’ve been unhappy with all the other apps on the market. But thanks to this app I don’t have to! It’s everything I’ve wanted, nothing I don’t, and is wonderfully designed. Love the little animations, the use of SF Symbols, and the additional icons! I’d love to know who designed them!

Micro transactions

Why is changing Gamery icon considered a premium feature?

Finally Found What I Was Looking For

2024-07-10

This game tracker is close to perfect. It has most of the features I want and none of the fluff that clogs other trackers I’ve tried. I paid for lifetime almost immediately - it’s worth it. It’s under active development and I really hope these three additions may be under consideration some day; they are at the top of my list:

1. Optionally include/import games available from subscription services (XBOX GamePass, PlayStation Plus, etc).

2. Manual/drag-and-drop sorting. I’d love to be able to view my backlog presented in the order I want to play the games.

3. Filter by platform.

Amazing app

2024-09-05

Gamery is incredible! Unlike 99% of the gaming apps out there that look like doodoo, this one actually has a nice-looking UI. Great work!

Love this app

I was looking for a simple game tracker to keep track of my library across the various stores and platforms. Gamery looks iOS native and is so simple to use. No fluff or attempts to be a gaming social network - just a simple, straightforward tracker.

Nifty app to keep my games organized.

Gamery is fantastic and helps me organized what I played and completed; and the graveyard of unplayed :). Gives me a good outlook. Give this a try!
